Edible Decoration | GBGV | Tasty Tuesday

Goodness! What is that on my nose? Is that a decoration? Is it edible? Read on to find out what my sisters and I got to taste test!

My GBGV Life Fromm TreatsWe got an email from Chewy.com asking if we would like to review some treats for them. I always say a dog can never have enough quality treats, so we said send some over! We got to choose from several options and decided to try out Fromm Chicken with Carrots and Peas Recipe. Mom thought this would be a good test as I can be picky and am not a big fan of veggies. We have heard many good things about Fromm, so this was a nice way to see what they are all about.

My GBGV Life Chewy.comThe box arrived in just a few days. I was on top of it and then, in no time, in it. I know most packages that arrive are for me, so I am not shy about getting into them right away! I was a little disappointed there was only one bag of treats in the big box but I shouldn’t be greedy!

My GBGV Life with Fromm TreatsI slobbered up the bag real good and then posed with it for my photographer. All this photo stuff wastes so much precious eating time! Nevertheless, I was proud of what I hauled out of the box.

GBGV Kuvasz Taste TestNext it was time to give these treats a taste test. I can be picky and I enjoy savoring my food, so I took my treat right out of Mom’s hand and then crushed it into a million pieces on the rug. It smelled suspicious, so I gave all the pieces a thorough sniff over, then decided they were pretty good and I cleaned up my mess. Katie and Bailie chowed theirs down so fast, I’m not sure they even tasted them! As you can see from the first photo, they are not real small – about the size of a quarter and 1/4 inch thick. Surprisingly, they only have 8-9 calories a piece and they are made right here in the USA with all natural ingredients!

My GBGV Life Four Paws UpNow the big question – would we recommend them? Believe it or not, as you can see above, I give them four paws up! Despite being seriously healthy and loaded with veggies, I wanted to eat the whole bag once I deemed them “safe”. Chewy.com was super efficient in their shipping as well, so I would say, get a hold of your pet parents credit card and place a big order with Chewy.com, you won’t regret it! Chewy.com sent My GBGV Life a bag of Fromm treats to review. I did not receive compensation for this review. These are my own opinions based on how I felt about the treats.

Since I deem these treats edible, I’m  joining the Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop fun sponsored by Kol’s Notes & Sugar the Golden Retriever

I think you need to swim to the other side of the pond. Katie and I did it and it has worked well for us 😉

Emma, I eat veggies but my sister Lyla slings them out of her mouth like really fast! She is funny to watch, and the mom gives her veggies just for the laugh! those treats sound yummy. I did not get my beauty sleep because the mom is all excited about something. she tells me I am getting a surprise. I hope it is something good to eat. You are so beautiful and photogenic, Emma. XOXO Panda the Boston

I don’t think your mom is picking up her surprise in person but if she was, I bet she would stop to meet me in her travels. I’m so excited for your family!

Katie and I will have to try them. She does not veggies either so we will see what happens. She doesn’t even like kibble. You would think the dog would be starving but she seems to do just fine.

I like to carry veggies around with me all day and defend them, but no eating them. These treats, however met my standards after the careful examination procedure I follow on all new supposedly edible items.

Thank you. Now with Bailie training for obedience school, we have all gotten into learning to do new things. It is really fun.

    • Emmadog says

We are all really into training and learning right now because Bailie is working hard on obedience training, so Mom is having us do other new and fun stuff. We are all working hard with our dog brains these days!

    • Emmadog says

It was a bit hard at first, but then I figured out that I would get a treat for leaving a treat on my nose and I thought that was a fair deal.

Those sound yummy. Love your review. I thought about reviewing those this month, but the brown dawgs got so many treats for Christmas, I decided not to review this month. But if I need a healthy treat or they come up for review again, we’re trying them. :)

    • Emmadog says

What? Too many treats? Not possible! We always have a good stash and with all the training we are doing these days, we are using lots of smaller lo cal treats, so these are good rewards for bigger tasks.

We love Fromm’s! That is actually the brand of food that all the dogs eat. We’ve tried their parmesan treats, but not these veggie ones yet. Our dogs aren’t huge fans of veggies either, but if you bake them up in a treat, they seem to do better with them!
I love the photo of you with the treat on your nose, Emma!

We switched food last fall and Fromm was on our list of choices but we decided on Innova instead. The treats are really yummy!

Those look so tasty! Petal is anxious for hers to arrive! She likes to help with the packages too and gets annoyed on the off chance the package is not for her, lol.
Glad you have deemed those treats as safe, Emma! Thanks for sharing your review of them. :)

By the way, the first and last pictures are adorable!

Thank you. Except for Christmas time I really do get almost all the packages. I know the UPS guy loves me…job security!

Give me some barks and howls!
