Week 14 of the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge and the word is “foolish”. I figured a Hawaiian Hound in a grass skirt wearing a ton of leis in a snow pile would be pretty foolish. Bailie wanted to look foolish too, so she dressed the part as well. [Read more…]
There are many was to be successful in life, but one big key to success is remaining flexible. Spring was here, grass was starting to green up when we were hit with ten inches of snow! We had planned a nice walking adventure for our post today, but with the snow, trails are either too deep or a melting mess, so we had to find another way to work out. Bailie and I put our noses together and came up with an alternate plan using all the fresh snow. [Read more…]
Wowzers! Week 5 of the #PBSG #52Snapshots of Life photo challenge is here and the word of the week is winter. We love winter at my house, it is our favorite season. This year has been way too warm and short on snow for our taste, but we still are doing our best to enjoy what we can of winter. I chose the photo above as my top photo for winter because it shows how I really embrace this beautiful season! [Read more…]
I’m back joining the kitties in their selfie blog hop once again. I was out in the woods the other day and took this selfie of myself (I guess this is where the name selfie comes from) with some nature in the background. I figure kitties might like it since they like to climb trees. I like it because my floppys look so nice and long, and I have little pieces of snow on myself. Sometimes my floppys look shorter. I think it depends on how I am sitting or holding my head. In any case, I like my selfie this week, do you like it? [Read more…]
My friends, yesterday was a huge disappointment for my me and my sisters! Those TV weather folks talked to us for days about six to twelve inches of snow on Monday and what happened? Nothing! The snowstorm went north of us. All we got was a lousy inch or so along with a ton of nasty ice, no snowstorm! The part they did not mess up on was the cold and blustery winds. We had to really bundle up to go out! [Read more…]
It is spring, can you tell?
It sure is hard to imagine spring break right now. When I look out my window all I see is snow, piles, and mounds of snow, but Lena is here at Emma’s B & B for her spring break as she is every year. On a side note, my sisters and I were at the vet for our heartworm check this week, all of us are healthy, and we were complimented on our weight and physical condition 🙂 Now let’s have a look at the fitness players at Emma’s B & B for Lena’s spring break. We have had so much snow and so many below zero days this winter, getting out to our favorite walking spots has been quite a challenge! The other day it was a balmy +5 Fahrenheit out so we decided to go with Mom to Jensen Lake. We love to walk there but haven’t been since the fall. The trails can be deep if they haven’t been trampled down, so we have to go several days after it snows or it would be too much for us. Katie has been having issues with her arthritis and walking in snow, so we had to leave her home and just us “Grands” headed out with Mom. [Read more…]
Poor little Bailie is a bit bored. We have so much snow, and now it is really cold again too. This puppy simply doesn’t know what to do.
We got another load of snow yesterday. Mom took this photo of Bailie out playing. We love the shadow, it looks like a cartoon head!
