Happy Easter to all from me, Emma, the GBGV, the wabbit hunter. This holiday is a real tough one for me! I luv wabbits and I luv to hunt wabbits. Mom does not like me to hunt them around Easter time because she says they all need to help get everything ready for Easter. I was not real happy about posing as a wabbit for mom to take my photo but then I was thinking maybe it would be a really good disguise that could help me find more wabbits??? I really wonder why I let mom do these embarrassing things with me but then I figure being a GBGV I am plain goofy anyway so why not get a few
more laughs! I hope that the real Easter bunny brings all you human friends lots of chocolate wabbits and all my dog pals some great dog snacks. The Easter bunny usually brings us something special like tripe or bully sticks, those smelly, tasty snacks that humans don’t understand! If the weather is nice we get to eat them out in the yard so mom doesn’t have to smell them.
Reminder to 2 and 4 legged creatures!!! Chocolate is poisen for us dogs so don’t give it to us, don’t let the kids give it to us and don’t put it where we can get it ourselves! Give us a doggie treat or an egg but NO chocolate!
Happy Easter Emma and also to your humans!!
I may have told you about one of my rescue setoirs Jewell, a beautiful large white snow dog of some sort. In Dallas, we lived near a big urban lake park in a neighborhood of large treed lots the perfect place for jerks to dump their animals. Jewell was found by one of my neighbors, but they didn’t have the yard to keep her. I not only had the fenced yard, but also a separate kennel-type yard. Anyhow, Jewell was a real sweetheart. She got along with all my dogs and went on walks with us. A family with two boys and a little girl at the far end of the neighborhood fell in love with her and adopted her. We got her all settled in, or so we thought. In the middle of the night I was awakened by someone licking my face. It was Jewell. She had broken out of her new home trotted across the neighborhood, broke INTO our yard, crawled through the doggie door and announced that she was back! She eventually did settle in to her new home and was a wonderful dog to the family, but they had to beef up their fence and then let her sleep in the house with them to keep her from coming back to my house!
