Sunday morning started out as a normal Sunday morning and then turned into some spontaneous fun in our own private dog park! Mom was going to be gone for work most of the day so we took our usual Sunday morning walk for about an hour – passed by the church since it was Sunday and then we were just a few blocks from home when things changed. Up ahead we saw our friend Cody walking with his mom but she had a second dog. I knew right away who it was because I met him at my spa day last week. It was Toby, Cody’s cousin. They saw us too and charged at us, we ran towards them and before anyone really knew it we had some serious leash spaghetti going on! We all just wanted to play and kept getting tangled and it was just a huge mess. Mom suggested that Toby and Cody come to our yard to play for a bit so they did. We had such a blast! Mom was sad she only had her cell camera on her as she could not get any good action shots but she thought if she went in the house to get her good camera we would stop playing. We did some serious racing, played with the soccer ball and some of the other toys in the yard – even Buddy who is not usually a fan of other dogs got the wild pants on! Buddy was the smallest and ended up soaking wet from racing and tumbling in the wet grass. I think we woke up all the neighbors as well at 7:45 on a Sunday morning but who cares! I was doing my hunting call during the chase and that got the other neighbor dogs barking which created a lot of noise, they were all jealous of our fun!
An important side note from mom is that we all matched. I am the tri-color, then we had one black dog, one white and two tan – we were lookin’ good!

Looks like sooooo much fun. Glad your mom suggested the yard, though, as the lead spaghetti might have gotten completely out of hand. What a though – now I’ll think of a leash every time I eat spaghetti.
Hope your spaghetti still takes good and not like a leash!
Hi Y’all!
Just hoppin’ by to say “hi”.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Thanks for hoppin’ by!
Y’all are all so pretty! I’d love to have a doggy play date in my backyard, but am afraid that other doggies would try to eat my chickens and ducks. 🙁
I think with my crowd it would be safe to say your chickens and ducks would be in serious danger. 🙁
I like the matching dog party! You’ve given me an idea. I might have to have a bark-a-que, all humans come dressed in either tri-colour or brign a ‘matching’ dog. 🙂
Cool idea!
Hey Emma, Hey Katie, Jet here.
What a pawesome play date! Your yard is quite beautiful too.
BOL… leash spaghetti… did you know one of my nicknames is Jetty Spaghetti? we play leash spaghetti with Dixie and Neve, too… so it’s Jetty Spaghetti’s leash spaghetti!!!
Thanks – we like our yard but we don’t like the leash spaghetti! It can get downright dangerous when we are all wound up!
Sometimes JJ and I tie Mom up like a boa constrictor!!!
That looks like a fun place to play and with good friends makes it all the better. I wish I could bring my pups to play there with you too.
I’d like to come and play with you guys, looks like fun!
I so wish I lived near you guys – do you need a grey and white Doggie in your gang? 🙂
Wags to all
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Hey, your colors would match so you are in! Come join our gang!
Looks like you guys had fun! Wish we could come play…we might match…black, brown and white! What do ya think?
You are a match – come on over!
Rooooo I wish I could have joined you – it looks like you had so much fun! *waggy tail*
That looks like so much fun!
