Dear mom and dad, yes, this is going to be a letter to my doggie parents. My birthday is coming up which will make it 6 years already since I was born! I bet my mom Debucher Prima Donna and my dad, Debucher Yorrick wonder what happened to their sweet little girl Debucher Baguette. I though I would write them them a letter but then I got to thinking as I often do, and I decided to post the letter on my blog as typing is much easier for me. I can send the link to Vivien, my breeder, which is where my parents live. I sure hope that they have
access to a computer and who knows, maybe they follow me on social media but I have not seen them. Now for my letter:
Dear mom and dad,
It has been about 6 years since I was born which is hard to believe! I think about you and my siblings often, especially this year with the Jubilee celebrations and the Olympics all so close to where I was born in the UK. I hope you are doing well, I wonder how all my litter mates are doing as I think
we are spread out in the world. That day when I was 9 weeks old and I left home was such a scary day for me, it took me a few days to stop crying for you, mom. My new mom I could tell loved me but I wanted you back. As it turned out I have been really lucky to have found such a wonderful human mommy and a great home with furry sisters and a brother. I have gotten to see a lot of the world – 5 countries and 9 US states already! I am a super happy pup and really enjoy life. Most of the time I am pretty well behaved too, you would be proud! Mom brushes me a lot and always tells me that she needs to strip my fur down to see my Debucher Yorrick spots – she thinks you are so cute, daddy! We do lots of walking and hiking, I get to swim and even have my own little pool. I have plenty of dog food, treats and chews so I am nice and healthy. Yes, mom I do brush my teeth every night before bed and my vet says my chompers look excellent!
My human mom has helped me make this blog site, a facebook page, twitter and pinterest accounts all to keep in touch with the world and share all about me. If you have not found me yet, you would really enjoy seeing photos and reading about my life. I visit Vivien’s website often but don’t see much about you there. She has 2 of my pics in her slideshow, you know. I sure wish we could have a family reunion but I don’t think it is possible with so much distance between us. My human mom really loves me and takes such good care of me – I think I may even be a bit of a spoiled girl but that is ok, I am happy! Mom likes taking photos of me and I love to model and have even opened my own online store!
Hope you and dad are doing well and enjoying all the GBGV’s around the cottage there in England! Here in the US, I am the only GBGV around, the next one is about 2 states away!
Huge paw hugs, and tons of sloppy wet beard kisses,
your little Debucher Baguette, Emma
This is part of the Saturday Pet Blogger Hop! Check out the other blogs and tell them your came from the hop!
Aw, what a sweet note!
My, my – you were a cute little pup. Always makes me sad hearing pups sad to leave their Moms but at least you have a fabulous new family and great life. What a sweet note to your parents – I hope they read it and reply to you.
Awe… so sweet! I’ve tried to find out where my Labrador Maya came from. She was adopted from a place called Safe Harbor but when I wrote to them they said they never adopted out a full-bred Labrador. Wherever she came from, I’d sure like to let them know how happy she is. Well, it doesn’t really matter too much since we are all happy. Speaking of happy, I hope you have a Happy Birthday Emma!!!
Thank you, I am glad I know about my family, most pets don’t, I am lucky!
Hi Y’all!
Just hoppin’ by to say “hi”.
That was a really sweet letter to your pawed parents.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Thanks for hopping by!

Thank you! Us dogs just lose touch with our families and that is hard sometimes I guess.
What a sweet letter! I’m sure your paw parents are glad to know that you are happy and best of all….spoiled! Being spoiled is quite awesome!
Spoiled is the VERY bestest way to be! Betcha your paw parents would be happy to hear that!
Yep, spoiled pets are the absolute best!
Hey Emma, Jet here.
You have us sniffling a little and wiping a tear or two from our eyes… what a thoughtful daughter you are!
Hey Emma,
Such a lovely letter, I’m sure your Mum and Dad are very proud to see how you’ve matured, I wonder if they’ve seen how accomplished a Chef you are?
You brought back those days when I left home too, so scary!! Loved your puppy pic buddy – so sweet!!
I hope you’re having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
