Happy Birthday Blog | GBGV

Here I was a year ago working on my blog.

Happy Birthday Blog!  Wow, that year just blew right by.  It was one year ago today that I published my first blog post!  Click here to go to my first post.  Most of all I want to thank all of my readers from the bottom of my heart because without readers it would not be any fun having a blog! I am really happy with the progress so far.  My goal was to post two to three times a week which I have done.  Daily posting would be just too much I think as I need plenty of time for walking, watching and hunting squirrels and bunnies and napping.  Mom’s photography has improved over the past year too.  She still has plenty of room for improvement in my opinion but she is working on it.

I did start my whole “online life” with my blog but not long after came Facebook, Twitter and recently Pinterest, all of these 3 social media have really grown I must say.  I am truly touched by all my subscribers, fans and followers and so blessed that you all love me so much and enjoy hearing about my crazy GBGV life.  Mommy and I have a good time keeping my online life running, although she does say it is almost a full time job – and I am not even that big of an attraction – I think she exaggerates on that point!

This past year has been a huge learning experience as well.  There is so much out there to know and learn about blogging and social media.  Who knew that there were blogging awards and that I would have as many as I do in such a short time.  It gives my puppy dog belly a good feeling knowing that people love what I am doing so much 🙂

Speaking of awards…I received the Super Sweet Blogging Award from Dogs N Paws this past weekend.  As with all blog awards there are some rules: Give credit to the blog that nominated you, Answer the “super sweet” questions, Pass award on to a baker’s dozen.

Now for the questions:

1. Cookies or Cake?  I really take either one, they are all so tasty when mom and I bake.
2. Chocolate or Vanilla?  I have to go with vanilla, chocolate is bad for us dogs.
3. Favorite sweet treat?  I like to have a Gummi Bear or two when mom has some.
4. When do you crave sweet things?  I don’t have cravings really.
5. If I had a sweet nickname what would it be?  Mom calls me her snack monster a lot 🙂

Passing on to a baker’s dozen:  I am going to have to pass on this part.  I follow quite a few blogs but most of them already have the award. It would not be right to just randomly pick blogs that I don’t even know much about.  I have passed on awards to so many blogs already the last few months, I am simply tapped out. I hope no one takes offense.
