People and dogs alike are wondering why is Emma’s tail wagging so much lately. I am always a big tail wagger since I am always so happy, but the last few weeks a few super cool things have come to be that I am super excited about! Combine those items with the holidays and December is just one big burst of excitement shown by my tail!
On the set – sorry products are secret!
The first exciting news is that Barbara O’Brien called me to say that Target (yes, Target the big store that mom loves that also has the dollar section where she buys me dumb hats to wear) wanted me for two photo shoots last week! I did the one on a dog bed back in September but this time was a bit more tricky as I had to stand and pose and stuff with 2 different kennels. I had so much fun once again! The people are so great, they love me up and stuff me with treats, it is one heck of a deal for a dog and I get paid too which means I am making money just in time to buy Christmas gifts! This time it was last minute notice so no time for my spa treatment, mom had to give me a bath and do my fur all by herself but I think I came out ok. I am sure many of you are wondering why you have not yet seen me in your Target store…well, it usually takes 4-6 months for the results of a photo shoot to actually appear on a product, in the internet or in ads. I can’t wait to see myself either, but patience is a virtue says my mom. I will let everyone know as soon as my mug is out there! Just another side note as to time frames, they measured me for a Halloween costume last week (it is Christmas time), but they don’t shoot those photos until March or April (Easter time) and they come out in the fall (Halloween time), so there is the slowness for you!

The second news is also really exciting! My friend Snoopy just had his book Mischief Master Class published. Why do I care? Because I am featured in class 20 in the book! It has my blog post and photos of me in it and even better half the proceeds will be going to therapy dogs! Imagine that, me in a real book, so cool! The book is available as an e-book and in paperback on Amazon.com. It is a super fun book for anyone that loves dogs (maybe cats too). I have it on my ipad and am waiting for the paper version I ordered to arrive. I am buying a few as Christmas gifts this year. Don’t despair if you don’t live in the US, it is available on Amazon.uk as well.
Yikes – I am glowing!
The third thrill is not quite as big as the other two but it is super fun. I entered a contest for a LED dog collar on my friend Dogs n Pawz blog and I won! Yep, I won and got to order my own neon orange collar which just arrived the other day. Mom loves it since I am short and small, she worries about people not seeing me in the dark but worry no more! I look like I have been irradiated or something – how neat is that!
Continuing on with my lucky streak, I won an Iams goodie basket complete with pet toys, a pet bed, pet food and more from my Newfy friends blog! Most likely I don’t need the items so I will donate it to less fortunate animals, just have to wait for it to arrive.
I think my kitties will like this ornament!
The last thing that is exciting is that I won a Fancy Feast ornament from Cat Food Breaths blog. Now this is super funny because this cat does not like dogs. Whether you are a cat or dog lover, you need to check out this blog because this cat is hilarious, it is one of our very favorite blogs! I won, I think because I commented that I would give the ornament to my cats for Christmas. So, don’t tell my cats about this, please.
Mom says that with my luck the last couple weeks I should play the lottery. I thought she was serious so I went to the store to buy a ticket but they would not let me in, no dogs allowed – seriously, my hard earned money (I mean I do have a job as a model) is as good as any humans! Forget the lottery I guess, I will stick to shopping for mom’s Christmas gift at PetCo – wonder what she would like???

Emma im Frankie’s Doodles mom and your his friend on face book.. i am so excited about what you’ve been up to lately, your a star!! I especially love the news about you being featured in the book, Mischief Master Class.. How exciting that all money earned will go toward therapy dogs. Frankie and i got to a school here in our town and our group calls it “tails for tales” we belong to the inter-mountain reading program through our own Paws Up Inc.group. We love the books about dogs and maybe i could get one and take it to our school? I would love to read it.. most if not all of the books we read are stories about dogs and cats.

I am a GBGV. Thanks for finding me all over the place 🙂 I would like to read with kids but around here you have to be certified to do it and I am not. You should get that book as we gave it to my mom’s 2, 10 yr old nieces for Christmas and they just love it.
