It seems to me that humans love to reminisce about the year and everything that happened right before the end of the year so I thought I would sniff over my calendars and see what happened in my GBGV life the past 12 months. Some things I had completely forgotten about, some were as fresh as if they happened yesterday.
Follow me on a quick walk down my 2012 trail to see what the high and low points were.
January and February were pretty uneventful. Mom and us dogs were rather depressed as it was a warm winter and we did not have much of any snow, it was brown, ugly and just plain sad! I missed the great winter we had in 2011!
March was a busy month. I had my photo audition for Target. I did not get the job but I got my portfolio which resulted in me getting some photo jobs later in the year, yay! I entered an online St. Patrick’s Day contest and won – I got a collar from Up Country Inc for winning my favorite collars! Lena came to stay with us for 2 weeks while her family went to Florida and right after she left, Buddy was over for 10 days or so. I think March was a pretty good month!
April was nothing to howl about. I managed to leave the Easter Bunny alone which pleased mom 🙂 In May mom had the nerve to leave us with her cousin Laura while she went on vacation for a week. Katie and I spent most of the week at the windows by the front door waiting for mom to come back. I did good this time, though, as I did not howl at night. Buddy came back the end of May for a long weekend.
Woof! Birthday season began in June with Katie turning 10. I baked her a great cake and we had a fun day for her.
In July, we celebrated the 4th of July, Buddy was back again for about 10 days and we celebrated mom’s birthday the end of the month. In August Buddy was back again for 10 days.
September started with Buddy spending Labor Day weekend with us and then the big event – I turned 6 and had a super fun birthday with great food, gifts and lots of loving! Towards the end of the month I finally got my call from Target and did my first modelling job – arrroooo!!!
October was fun as mom took us to the pumpkin patch, tons of great smells there, Buddy was at our place for a long weekend and then we had Halloween.
November was long as we were waiting for snow and for Thanksgiving. The beginning of December we finally got a nice snow storm which really kicked us into Christmas fever and now we are at the end of the year.
That was my year in a nutshell, not to bad! How was your year? Anything big happen?

I became friends with you. This was a great year.
I know and you are one of my very best friends too but I could not put everything in my blog or I would still be writing the post 🙂 Love you so much!
Hey Emma, Jet here. Hi Katie.
Wow, what a year… you certainly had lots of company! You cooked up lots of yummy treats in addition to your modeling… don’t forget to share that! I think you received a bunch of snow this week, right? Glad that will make you so happy.
There was so much, I could not include it all or the post would have been way too long. Maybe I will get a cookbook going in 2013? We just got another 4″ of white fluff, so we are quite happy 🙂
Ya k ow, if you want modeling gigs, why not interview those folks for your blog?
Great idea! I am new to all this stuff, so I am always trying to get ideas, thanks!
you had a photo audition for target! How pawsome! Even if you didn’t get it (this time) I’m sure it was a great experience. I loved reading over your recap of the year, considering I only found your blog a month ago! You are one busy little GBGV!
Thanks Kirby! Actually, I did end up getting 3 jobs for Target in Sept and Dec. I will be on product packaging starting early 2013. I will post when I actually appear. I am glad I found your blog too!
You sure had a good year Ems!
I had a good year too – I came to live with mummy and daddy:-)
That is the best gift ever in life, finding a great loving home, you are also very lucky!
It sounds like you had a good year, I can barely remember Christmas and that was only a few days ago! LOL Hope next year is as good as this one has been!
I had to check back on my calendars and blog but it brought back things I had forgotten, it was fun!

Thank you, I enjoy reading your blog as well, glad we found each other, happy 2013!
Although a lot happened with us this year, a lot of it was not happy so we didn’t want to reminisce about it. It sounds like you had a great year though. We look forward to having a stellar 2013 ourselves.
We all go through bad times but us dogs live in the moment, so forget the past and forge on! Happy 2013!
