This is the one time of year where mom does more sniffing on our walks than I do. She loves the scent of lilacs but us dogs don’t seem to care about them at all!

Lovely pic Ems xx
Beautiful picture. I love the smell of lilacs as well.
Mom is the worst scent hound ever this time of year!
My Dalmatian always used to smell the Jasmine. You should try it, maybe you’d find you really like it.
I prefer tracking critter smells, more interesting π
LOVE the smell of Lilacs too. We got them all over my backyard. Happy BlogPaws WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Thanks Sugar! Happy WW to you and your mom and keep sniffing the flowers π
Wow! Those lilacs and your pooch are beautiful!
Thank you! Thanks for stopping by!
Oh they are so pretty, don’t the futterbyes like those? xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Not really sure, maybe?
They make me sneeze!
Bless you π
Must be that time of year….noticed lilacs featuring on a few doggy pics on Instagram lately. Lovely backdrop & beaut pic by the way
It is that time of year, actually late this year but that time for this year π
They do look pretty….sorry you don’t enjoy the smell of them as much as your mom does!
yeah, I prefer sniffing critter tracks…
Such a beautiful pic. Happy sniffing to you both!
Thanks…sniff,sniff…
Whiffin’ is always fun!
Yep, so many good smells to take in outside!
They make a wonderful backdrop for your photos though, Emma.
Happy WW!
Oz
Thanks, Oz…they sure do have a strong smell, though.
Oh my mom loves loves lilacs too.
This is the time of year mom loves walking the most with the pretty colors and smells.
Ohhhhhh….lilacs are one of my favorites! I can’t resist taking a sniff!
Oh man, can’t get mom’s nose out of those bushes…very frustrating…I pull on the leash and she just pulls back.
Awww too cute!
We did some sniffing of our own this morning. Took some time to smell the Lilacs. http://www.dawsondogs.com/blog/2013/6/Summertime-is-Finally-Here
My human loves lilacs too! I prefer catnip flowers, obviously.
Purrs
Bella and DiDi: What a gorgeous portrait photo!
Thank you, mom had the idea since she is so nuts for those smelly things π
I love lilacs! Great photo, Emma. π
Thanks…it must be a human thing!
My Mom LOVES the smell of lilacs too! So pretty! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
I am narrowing this down to human females…can’t find anyone else so crazy about that smell.
You look lovely today Emma…When Momz was little the family would sell their lilacs to florists for Mother’s Day…
Wow! Mom tried cutting a few and bringing them in the house but they only lasted a few hours so she leaves them on the bushes now.
Emma – beautiful pic as usual. We love lilacs too, but we don’t have them out here in CA – to hot, no cold season I guess. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful bush!
Stop out to MN sometime…and sniff around…these bushes are everywhere!
Your ma must really like those flowers! I don’t think I could ever out sniff Luna!
She really does…drives me crazy since it cuts into my wabbit and squirrel tracking activities π
Pretty, pretty Lilacs along with pretty, pretty Emma!
Thank you π
Oh, those are lovely! Are you as patient while she sniffs the pretty flowers as she is while you catch up on your pee-mail? I bet you are – cuz you’re such a good girl!
I try to be patient but I have wabbits and squirrels to track and this flower sniffing really interferes!
I think your mom has the right idea lilacs smell amazing, we have 5 large bushes and 5 small bushes in our backyard. You should give them a sniff sometime or rub up against them so you smell like that!
Maybe I could smell like them for a bit for mom but their smell is rather boring to me.
So beautiful, I love the smell of lilacs too. π
You must be a human female…seems to be a thing with your breed π
You look very nice posing with the lilacs π
Thank you, I tried to look fancy.
Ooooh, I love lilacs! Pretty photo!
Thank you π
Love the picture! Those lilacs are so beautiful!
And we have them all over the place in our yard and along our walking routes…makes mom happy π
Oh, I love lilacs and their smell too. Beautiful photo, Emma!
Thanks…you humans…can’t see the value in sniffing wabbit tracks but see it in the flowers…odd!
I guess that’s why you can never find lilac-scented dog shampoo! Beautiful photo, Emma!
LOL! Good point!
So beautiful, Emma. My mommy has been stopping on our walks and sniffing roses and gardenias. I never tell her to hurry up, but when I stop to sniff, it’s another story. π
Isn’t that the truth! Never enough time to sniff the really important stuff. We only have the lilacs for mom to sniff, but she would be sniffing roses if there were some!
So pretty!! You always look great Emma!
Thank you!
That is such a lovely photo Emma!
π
Mom loves the smell and thinks lilacs are beautiful. We don’t really care but Mom is always worried about us getting stung since we are fascinated by the bees!
Oh no, I don’t like bees. I got stung on the paw last year and mom had to carry my 40 lb baby self almost a mile home. Be careful with them, they can really hurt you!
What is half of your face green? Have you been causing mischief?
I would never rub my beautiful face in the freshly cut grass causing it to turn green…how could you think that π
Emma you’re a Park Day Bingo winner…please email Gizmo’s mom with your shipping info Congrats!
I will have mom get on that task for me. Yay!!!
Mmmm. Lilacs. I have a tiny lilac bush in the front yard. No blossoms yet. π
Odd, it is lilac time!
What a beautiful picture! I love lilacs. They are just awesome plus when you add a little cutie into the mix, just makes em more awesome!
Awww…you are very sweet!
My bipeds like to sniff things like lilacs! I don’t mind because I can always find something more interesting to sniff at while they’re busy.
It just depends on where mom decides to stop and sniff π
Hey Emma,
Maybe you should pick some and give your Mom them as a gift to take home?
I hope you’re having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy π
She has tried having them in the house but they fell apart in just a day and left the flowers all over the table, so she prefers to leave them on the bushes now. Great thinking, though!
