Katie, Buddy, and I want to wish you, your family, and friends a wonderful 4th of July!
To celebrate, Mom made us some healthy Patriotic Doggy Ice Cream Bones. They are super easy to make, and she used my new silicone bone mold to make them in. See my review on these pans here. I had Mom make them because there was a lot of chopping with a knife which is dangerous for dogs, and one has to make sure the yogurt gets all around the fruit pieces in the molds, hard to do with paws.
Being such a chef myself, Mom let me sniff around on them when they came out of the freezer. Boy do they smell yummy! If you would like the recipe, click here for a downloadable PDF.
Have a great holiday and take good care of your pets, especially if they are scared of fireworks!

Golden YUMMY DELISH! Tried to comment yesterday as we saw your link via Petfinder but couldn’t. All the ingredients are my favorite. You guys are so lucky as that mold is bigger than mine … so jealous. Make sure to add this post on the upcoming Tasty Tuesday hop. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
I had several issues yesterday, no idea what happened there. I get bigger treats since my sister is such a big dog 😉 Hope your 4th of July was great!
You and your mom are so clever! The snacks look awesome. Love your patriot picture too!
Thanks, the snacks were super tasty too!
I was thinking of making some fruity ice cubes that could be shared with both two-leggers and four-leggers. I bet a human could eat those treats too!
Hope you had a great 4th!
Oh yeah, but you may want to use a sweeter yogurt for humans.
These sound very tasty! Frankly, I think I would have a hard time keeping the dogdad out of them. I love yogurt, but I think he loves it even more. And he likes it only lightly sweetened, so these would probably be perfect for him AND the dogs 😉
Perfect, you can feed your husband and the dogs together 🙂
Emma, I love that patriotic photo of the 3 of you! And don’t those treats look yummy….I have printed that one out, and our crew looks forward to trying them, even if it’s not still the 4th!
They are good anytime, super yummy and super healthy!
