Today is the 2 Year Anniversary of the Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop Sponsored by Kol and Sugar. I have only had my blog for 21 months, but I am still going to celebrate this great blog hop that makes me drool all over my keyboard every Tuesday, and I am not even a drooling dog! To enter the 2 year anniversary contest, the rules are:
Anyone can enter – all you have to do is one of the following:
• Share a recipe featuring our secret ingredient (baked, fresh, frozen – anything goes)
• Share a review of a commercial treat that uses the secret ingredient
• Post a video or photo of what your pet will do to get a treat
The Secret Ingredient is: FRUIT any kind of fruit you like!
I have decided to use blueberries and bananas to make Blueberry Banana Bites – going with option one.
First you have to gather all your ingredients together on the counter. Be very careful of any furry siblings photo bombing and/or attempting to steal ingredients! Cats like my cat bro Bert are especially troublesome! He is extremely useful when I am counter surfing, but very detrimental when I am trying to cook or bake.
Chop up the blueberries into small pieces. Puree the banana so it is quite fluid. Mix the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, ad in the egg, other liquids and mix. Add in the diced blueberries last and mix in.
Place the batter in mini muffin molds or I used my silicone paw molds. Every now and then while filling your molds, stick your head in the mixing bowl to ensure that the ingredients are still okay – it doesn’t hurt to taste the dough either.
Take them out of the oven, cool in the pan for a couple minutes. Remove from the pans and let the bites thoroughly cool. You don’t want to risk burning your nose!
Stack them on a pretty plate and admire them for a while.
Don’t be afraid to sniff them a bit too. All this waiting will really get that doggy drool going. Try one, or two, or the entire plate! These bites are so yummy and they are healthy too!

Happy baking and munching!
OMD Emma you have the best foodie bakes ever, they look so scrummy.. I am so going to have to make those 🙂 Love your drooling furiend xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
They are easy and super yummy in a puppy dog tummy!
Oh they look delicious! I love how you get to help make them too 🙂
I love to bake!
Wumwumyumyum berries!
Yep…yummy in my tummy!
Emma, I think you should go on Master Chef! You would beat all of those lame humans. We love bananas and we love blueberries – what could go wrong here? Thanks!
I have to get my furry behind on TV! I’m hoping maybe I will get a start when my book comes out next month…I can howl about my book and mention that I bake too 😉
Be honest, Emma – there weren’t any treats left within 30 seconds of finishing this photo shoot, were there?
Mom took the plate away and Katie and I each had one. We are NOT animals 😉
Those sound delish! And your pictures are fabulous! Happy Tasty Tuesday!
Thank you and they are tasty!
Emma master Chef needs you right now. Pawsome. Tuesday just got real tasty.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks! I love baking…talk about a self rewarding behavior!
Haha, love the photo shoot!! SlimDoggy is right, I can hear Masterchef calling.
Yum Emma! These sound super! I’m going to have to get the Mom Person to make some this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
They are great! We keep them in the fridge so they are cold and refreshing 🙂
Emma, those look yummy! And so easy to make. I printed out the recipe and promised the dogs I would make some this weekend….they can’t wait!
Did Bert behave himself there? I love the photo with him sitting there. I think he just wanted to help, didn’t he? 🙂
He is in position to steal…he doesn’t know what help is! I have to keep watch over him all the time!
Those sound good. I never thought of chopping blueberries.
It was a first for Mom too, but if the bites are small, then a full size blueberry is simply too big!
Those look so very yummy! You are brilliant Emma!
Thanks, friends!
Golden Thanks for the advise … next time I will check the bowl n lick it too. 2 of my favorite ingredients. Happy Tasty Tuesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
They are mighty tasty I tell you 🙂
Another lovely recipe, you make typist want to rush into the kitchen!
Well, don’t stop her…use your paws to push her in that direction!
Those look yummy! Love blueberries and banana. Thanks for the great demonstration.
Now it is your turn…I want to see the brown dawgs baking 😉
You are just too cute, Emma… and quite a chef! 🙂
Thank you…I love to bake and my stuff tastes great too!
You show great restraint there Emma. Delilah would have devoured that plate.
I know how to behave when I bake 😉
Yummo Emma! Those look amazing (although, they look like the kind of treat that Mama would keep stealing and munching on. RUDE!)
I just love your baking pictures Emma. You’re so polite. Kol is a maniac in the kitchen. Thank you so much for celebrating our Tasty Tuesday Anniversary with us and for entering our Iron Doggy Chef Competition!
I am a pretty well mannered pup except if there is a squirrel or wabbit around. Love to bake too 🙂 Happy two year anniversary!
they sure look good!
I’m surprised you could wait, they look delicious!
I’m a pretty good girl and I know I get some if I am good!
