I am the very proud new owner of my own personalized DoodiePack! Mom had the idea to get me a backpack. She heard about DoodiePack at BlogPaws but did not pay enough attention, so she had to ask Sugar’s mom who made Sugar’s backpack. With my book coming out I have been busy getting my “image” together, and this was one of the items to be taken care of.
We contacted Kristen at DoodiePack to find out what she could do for us as we had some pretty specific ideas. She was most helpful in explaining how it all works with making a backpack and getting it customized. Since I couldn’t just have a basic model it took a few weeks to get it all together but it was well worth waiting for! When we got it in the mail last week, Mom was amazed. She said it is the cutest thing she had ever seen – I was a bit mad because I thought I was the cutest thing, oh well.
The DoodiePack is super lightweight, and it is easy to get into. The fabric is very sturdy and there is a reflective cording around the edges. I put it on and went about my business as it it was not even there…until…Mom started loading me up! I found out I can carry a small bottle of water, my collapsible bowl and a bag of snacks in the pockets. I don’t mind the extra weight to bring important stuff like that along on a hike!
Things were looking good until the whole truth came out! Mom said I can use the DoodiePack for hiking and walking but one of the main uses will be for me to sell my own books! What, me sell my own books! Mom seems to think that if I put my books in the pocket I will be so cute everyone will want to buy my book. I am going to test out this theory tomorrow at Woofstock here in Minneapolis. Although the official book release is September 19th, we got our advance copies that we need for marketing the other day, so I can take some books with me to Woofstock. I can also put some of my business cards in the smaller pockets on the other side. Quite useful.
Mom is still trying figure out how to edit video. She has a new program that she was testing out for this video. It is not a bad try, but she still has a lot to learn to earn my full approval!
Why is this fit for FitDog Friday? Because I am going to be walking around with additional weight which will burn more calories and create more of a work out than a normal walk.
Any dog needing a backpack, I would highly recommend looking into DoodiePack. We could not be happier!
