Congratulations to Jan at The Poodle and Dog Blog! You won a pawtographed copy of Tales of a French Scent Hound by guessing 39 Tales. There are 38! Please contact me with your mailing address!
Saturday was WoofStock, so I packed up Mom and we headed out to investigate. The weather was super hot and humid, so we got there early and only stayed about an hour. There were lots of great things to see and sometimes sample. The area was crowded with people and pups too. I had my DoodiePack on me with a copy of my book, my business cards, and just in case some poop bags – I was a prepared pup.
We started down the street going from one booth to the next. We first stopped at Bone Adventure. I did a nice pose with the sign. It said grooming so I really did not want to get real involved with these people. Grooming is not an activity I like.
Next I came up on Bubbly Paws. Okay, this is what Mom can’t find out about. I have no idea where the sixth bottle from the six pack went…me, I certainly wouldn’t be drinking beer! Truth is, while Mom was asking about the bio degradable poop bags, I did sneak a beer. I have to say it tasted mighty fine on such a hot morning! Please don’t tell my Mom!
We moved on to Chuck and Don’s Pet Food Outlet. I think that beer gave me the munchies because I sure smelled some good smells at their booth. They had us spin a jumbo wheel, and I got to pick out a bag of yummy treats to take with me. Good I had space in my DoodiePack!
We stopped at the Greyhound Rescue Booth to find out what they were up to. We were thinking of my blog friend Bunny and her mom. They actually had a tan and a black Greyhound that looked just like Bunny and Flattery. I did not get them in the photo because they were too busy being petted by people stopping by.
Next we stopped by Blue Dog Bakery. Mom bought us these treats once before but we haven’t seen them since, so Mom asked where we could buy some. I had to sniff around a bit to decide which kind I wanted to take a sample of.
Before we left, we stopped by SidewalkDog.com. If you are in the Twin Cities, you need to visit their website! They are a great resource for everything “dog” in the Twin Cities, and I mean dog friendly restaurants, dog events, rescues, and so much more!
I was tired out because it was so hot and people were fawning over me the entire time, telling me how cute I was, asking me about my book, passing out my cards, all the stuff us cute pups have to deal with. Mom took my DoodiePack off for our walk back to the car. I was so thirsty, and then it appeared, a dog station! I got some water and we made it back to the car. I was woofed and spent the rest of the day napping in my nice cool house!
I’m joining in the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies, and Alfie’s Blog.

Mollie and Alfie
You are so funny, imagine how much funnier you would be with some doggy beer – BOL!
There were plenty of things to see! And it looks like you did a good job going around promoting your book!
Purrs
I got free snacks, lots of attention and hopefully some new fans that will like my blog and my book.
Golden LOVE the name Bubbly PAWS. What a PAWsome time you had at Woofstock, a great place to promote your upcoming book. Happy Monday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
It was not bad for a first time promotional outing. As you know Mom isn’t the most outgoing but with my help she did a good job.
We agree great place to promote your book and we can see you were well prepared. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
You always have to be prepared for everything!
Emma, another adventure to add to your book – well I guess for your NEXT book. I won’t tell if you never rat me out either 😉
I do keep having fun adventures…I will have to start part two soon I guess.
That sounds like a fun filled day Emma! Glad to hear that you had so much fun and got to sample some beer! 🙂
It was fun shopping and drinking beer, I could see myself doing it again. You should get the boys some beer!
Sounds like a great day. Hope you generated lots of interest in your wonderful book. I have been acting as your agent and I posted it on the PBGV Facebook page and have gotten a lot of interest. I want it to become a NYT best seller because you are the cutest. If it does we will have another bottle of beer together .
Oh thank you so much. You and Katie are so very sweet. You always have to think and dream big if you want to get anywhere, so that is what we are doing 🙂 If the book becomes a best seller, I will bring the six pack!
That looks like quite the fun event Emma and you sure were prepared!
I like to be ready for whatever might come up 🙂
Emma that looks like so much fun! Too bad it was so hot and you couldn’t stay longer.
It was just way too warm and so very humid. They had lots of water out for us but I didn’t want it, too much going on.
Looks like you had a pawesome time! Wooooowooooooo!
It was a lot of fun!
Looks like an awesome event, you packed a lot of adventure into that hour. The bowser beer was well earned!
Now I know why you humans like to kick back with a beer on a busy and hot day 😉
WoofStock looks like fun! I hope you got a lot of attention for your book!! We love Blue Dog treats. They are Luna’s cousin’s favorite!
I did get lots of attention and hopefully people will look up my blog and order my book too. We now know where to get the Blue Dog treats, so we are excited.
What a pawesome event, Emma! And of course….you look smashing in all your photos. How was the beer?!?
Tasty stuff! Every dog should have a six pack at home!
Sounds like a fun, swag-filled day!
It was. Just a bummer it was so hot and humid so we could not stay as long as we wanted to.
Oh, Emma, What a fun life you have! Hi! I am Maggie, a PBGV. I live in Central Florida near the coast where those big rocket things went off to the space station and other places. Sometimes the house shook and it scared me. Things like fireworks and thunder do that to me. I am 13 now and showing my age, but I am getting really loving to the mom. Oh, that’s why I am posting this. The mom (Betsy) ordered your book on Amazon, but could not stand not having it in her hands last night so she downloaded it onto her Kindle. Good thing it is on her paperwhite thingy so I could get my beauty sleep! She says she will have to look at the book to see your pictures. It got late, she got sleepy, but you are at your grannies! I love hearing about you every day!
xoxo,
Maggie the PBGV
Hi Maggie! Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you and your mom enjoy my book. 13 is a great age, I will be turning 7 on Wednesday! My sister is 11 and a big dog, she is also more cuddly than she used to be. So happy you enjoy my adventures, I do like having a good time, that is for sure! Have a fun wabbit filled day!
Woofstock looks great, and now everyone knows about your book! yay!! Hope you’re resting up today.
I was pretty much out cold after the event…I think the beer and the heat did me up. We spread the word about my book, it was a lot of fun!
Wow, it looks like you had a great time at WoofStock, Emma… even if the weather was a bit uncomfortable. I can’t blame you for sneaking a beer while mom wasn’t looking. I know you were exhausted.
Glad you got to do some blog and book promotion while you were there – pawsome!! And I love your personalized DoodiePack!
We’re having WoofStock in our city this coming Saturday, but I’m not sure if we’re going to get to go or not. Dogdad is going out of town on Monday and we might have too much to get done this weekend.
It was a lot of fun! I’m sure your parents can squeeze in an hour or so to take you to Woofstock. See if they have beer at yours and let me know. All the free snacks are great too! Hope you get to go!
My Mommy was in downtown Minneapolis Saturday, and she had lots of water cause of the heat. Hope you have room for water bottles in your cute pack when it’s that hot!
I could put water in it if I wanted to, but Woofstock had water all over for dogs and humans, so I just had my book and business cards. It was seriously hot out!
What a great event, Emma, so glad you got there even for just a little while. I guess that wasn’t TOO much mischief, if you only snuck the one beer! 🙂
I had to be able to walk straight and sniff out the right snacks to take home with me 🙂
you sure packed a lot of visiting into that hour! looks like you had a grand time.
btw, what is the legal drinking age for doggies?
wags, bailey unleashed
They did not ask, so I did not tell…it was good stuff, that is what I know.
Sounds like a fantastic day, except the heat and humidity. I checked out that beer too. It looks like some super good stuff! You can even order some with a customized label with your dog’s photo. 🙂
First I have to get Mom used to the idea that I like to put my paw up and pop a beer now and then. When that idea goes over, then I can work on the label 😉
Emma, I hope you had some pizza to go with that beer. Pizza with rabbit meat. I’m sorry you didn’t win any rabbit jerky. 🙁
No wabbit that I could find but I found lots of other tasty snacks to munch on. I will survive without winning the wabbit jerky, Mom has to just buy some more for me.
Emma, your photos of travels are making me want to get off my kiester and go move around. So sweet!
Thank you, but it seems like you and Dexter get around a lot. Mom just likes to have us see lots of different things.
My goodness, Emma. That is the best review of a pet event I have ever read! Call us when you start giving classes, OK? Jobi and Fisher
Why thank you. I had a fun time, glad you enjoyed the post!
Beer and treats? What more can a dog ask for?
Exactly, I think the tomboy in me was really out…I like to let out a nice burp on occasion too…to the horror of my mom 🙂
What a fabulous day, Emma! We need a SideWalkDog.com here. Oh, that would be a dream come true, and maybe it would inspire other people to try to get in on the action with their businesses. I’m not surprised the Greyhounds were getting mobbed. It’s just a fact of life, I guess! I AM surprised that you weren’t getting mobbed the whole time wearing that fabulous pack. I am a happy girl today because we got the green light for me to wear mine when I start my hospice visits. I’m hoping to give it a trial run at the nursing home this week.
Bunny
That’s great that you can use yours for your hospice visits! I did get totally fawned over because I am cute and so different. Just at the Greyhound booth I was so small I think I was overlooked but that is okay. We had fun and that is what matters.
Sounds like a great time. You look so cute in your pack!
Our weather was humid, but not too hot. Of course we had on and off showers which meant plenty of clouds. I guess you sent your hot weather here today. It is supposed to be 97! Ugg!
Sunday was awesome and almost cold but then yesterday was in the 90’s and humid again. Hopefully we are done with that now until next year.
Wow! What a day and what a great tour you gave us, Emma. I guess you didn’t get a hangover? 😉
No, I think I ate enough because of the munchies 🙂
I love your Doodie pack Emma, what a great idea to carry all your stuff in! I’m sure you could fit a few beers in there?! 🙂
Am I right in thinking your book isn’t available yet? It must be super close until we can get it?
Wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Well, I wanted it to be all set up and ready everywhere, so I put it out a bit too early. This week is my birthday and I have lots going on, so it is officially coming out on the 19th but it is available already 🙂 Thanks again to you and your mom for the advice! I would still be floundering without your help!
Looks like a really fun time – and good thing you had your pack. The beer must have been lip-licking good! Darn – 38! I was close with my crazy formula coming up with 33. Congrats to Jan on the win!
It was fun and I did lick it all off my lips too 🙂 You were darn close with your guess. Better luck this week!
Boy! What a great adventure! I bet you made lots of new friends! Nice for your Mom that you had that DootiePack so she didn’t have to carry everything! We get those Blue Dog Bakery treats all the time. They are some of my favorites.
We loved them but then we couldn’t find them. Now we know where to go!
Looks like you went straight for the snackies…just like I would!
Beer and snacks…no other way to go!
Well who can resist a beer now and again? Looks like you had a fun time, and congrats to Jan for winning the copy of your book! 🙂
I did have fun until I got too warm 🙂
Hi, Emma! We’re wagging over from Pet Blogs United. Loved that photo of you doing laundry. We’ll definitely keep coming back, your blog is great!
And it’s great to meet a fellow bicontinental doggy 🙂
Keep on wagging,
Tootsie
Thank you for coming by! Nice to have a fan that knows about life elsewhere…it is different!
I think you deserved a nap after such a busy day.
I always get my napping in 🙂
Silly, beer isn’t for pups! Even when it’s hot, best stick to water. Still looks like you had a fun time!!
But it is dog beer…and it was really good!
