It’s fall and Halloween time so earlier this month, my sisters and I headed off to the pumpkin patch for our annual visit. Katie and I love going there because of all the fun smells. This is Bailie’s first Halloween, and first trip to the pumpkin patch. She also loved the smells but found lots of stuff to try and eat as well which was not a good thing. Even with a puppy, the same rule applies – use the bathroom before you get into the pumpkin patch. We all managed to follow the rule which made Mom proud.
It was a gorgeous day out, not a cloud in the sky, but it was really windy. Can you tell by our fur, ears, and eyes?
We found some mini pumpkins for baby Bailie. She could not believe they were so inexpensive, and had to read the sign herself!
I found the super duper big pile! Boy, how does a dog choose just one when there are so many?
Bailie thought the pumpkins were some kind of climbing toy. It was a bit slippery she found out, and I doubt she will climb up there next year!
We had an awesome time once again! Each of us found just the right pumpkin and brought them home with us for Halloween! Now we just have to keep Bailie from eating them!
If you have never gone, look for a dog friendly pumpkin patch in your area. You and your pup will have a pawsome time!
PS: Thank you so much for all the well wishes. So far, my lips seem to be healing and I am feeling pretty good, just have to be careful and not get wild with my sisters.
I’m joining in the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies
Love all these photos, but especially the one of you, Emma, with that huge pile of pumpkins! Sounds like you had a lot of fun 🙂
We love our yearly trip to the patch 🙂
What fun and beautiful pictures!
Thank you!
Love the picture of Bailie trying to eat her pumpkin!
She eats anything she can find…a crazy pup!
How wonderfully cute. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks Molly, have a fun Halloween week!
I wonder if Bailie knew what kind of family she was getting herself into. She doesn’t know how lucky she has it. I think you should adopt her brothers and sisters also. Glad to hear they you are feeling better Emma. I am rooting for you and I hope that nasty infection never comes back.
Ummm…you know Bailie is from a litter of 14…don’t think we could handle all her brothers and sisters! We are good as is, with too many dogs we can’t always go everywhere together, three is hard enough. I’m feeling pretty good. Mom looked at my lips on the weekend and said she thought they looked pretty good. Thanks for thinking of me.
what fun! Now I want to go to a pumpkin patch! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
You should go, it is a super fun place for dogs.
Love the photos! Bailie is too cute when she’s chewing on her pumpkin! =D
She loves to chew, had to spray the stems with yuck stuff to get her to stop that.
Looks like a great outing and certainly great photos. Love that last one of Bailie chewing the stem of the pumpkin…such a puppy.
Everyone likes that one, except Mom who doesn’t want her doing that 😉
I love Bailie in that last picture, so cute. Looks like a fun day.
Thanks…she knows how to get the attention!
What a blast you had at the Pumpkin Patch! I’ve not been, I think Mum and Dad have forgotten about it since the kids are teenagers now – what about me? 🙂
I love the wind-swept pic! 🙂
Wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
You would have had serious blowing fur! They should take you to one, the smells are incredible!
Looks like the Pumpkin Patch was a lot of fun! I can definitely tell it was very, very windy, though.
I love all the pictures, but that last one is perfect! Katie laying there like her mature self, you sitting smart and serious in the middle, and Bailie being a classic puppy chewing the pumpkin stem. Mom couldn’t have got a better shot!
It pretty much captured our personalities 🙂
Those are such terrific photos Emma and I am glad you are healing up nicely!
Thanks, been resting a lot…getting tired of resting!
Emma, we wish you the best on your healing and recovery! It looks like you had a lot of fun in the pumpkin patch. In the third picture, Katie looks like she has little wings.

Thank you. Mom is taking good care of me. Glad we went to the pumpkin patch before my surgery!
OMD, those pics are adorable. Especially the blowin’-in-the-wind one. Glad to hear you are feeling better! It must be hard to not be wild with your sisters!
It is hard watching them play without me but I still have some pain meds that make me tired but that is about to end 🙁
Those DO look like perfect pumpkins. Great job picking them out guys! 🙂
And very cool that the pumpkin patch people allowed dogs to go.
There are several patches in our area that allow dogs, it’s great!
Emma, great photos! What a fun outing…picking pumpkins. And I BOL when I saw that last photo…I thought you were teasing Bailey but yep, bailey’s eating the pumpkin!
*Cairn cuddles*
Oz
She likes to chew/eat everything…typical puppy!
Oh what fun! I took my grandkids yesterday and there was a dog there, but I didn’t bring mine. I couldn’t have managed them all!! Love how much Bailie loves those pumpkins and glad to hear you are on the mend.
Kids and dogs would be tough. It is fun for dogs if you ever want to go and don’t want to go alone 🙂
Can you imagine that we live in a land without pumpkin patches? I think we need another revolution… pumpkin patches for france! :o)
Yikes, and I am a French scent hound…terrible news!
You are getting us in the mood for the changing seasons. So far we have not said goodbye to summer, but those pumpkins look tempting.
It is cold and sunny, lovely fall weather…can’t wait to be playing in the snow soon!
I’m glad you’re feeling well enough to get out for some Fall fun Emma…That wind looks like it’s gonna carry little Baillie away …You’ve got some great punkins there…are you gonna go in the kitchen and bake up something yummy?
No, we don’t bake them, Mom buys canned pumpkin if we bake, the real thing is too much work. We just look at them, sniff them, and Bailie tries to chew on them 🙂
Oh, that looks like as much fun as our apple picking was. We will have to look for that next fall. Did Bailie eat her pumpkin? Our dog Maggie used to do that. Glad you are continuing to feel better, Emma!
Mom has some yucky spray stuff that she sprayed on them to keep Bailie from chewing and it seemed to work pretty well 🙂 We can trade next fall as Mom wants to take us to an orchard.
I love the last pic of Baillie chewing on the pumpkin, so cute!
Everyone seems to like the devil in action!
That windblown shot is fantastic. Bailie eating her pumpkin has me cracking up. Glad to hear that you’re doing better. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
Yes, it was quite windy! I love Katie’s ears in the wind, but Bailie does chew anything she can get her little chompers on!
I guess no gnawing on pumpkin stems for you! I love pumpkin. We go to the pumpkin patch after Halloween and get bunches of them for free. Then the goats and us dogs have a feast! You take care of yourself!
I will send Bailie since she wants to eat a pumpkin!
That looks so fun Emma! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a pumpkin patch before. And 50 cents for a pumpkin is a super deal! My daughter would be in pumpkin heaven.
The little ones are cheap because most kids want big ones 😉
You all are so well behaved at the pumpkin patch! Sherman and Leroy would be peeing all over those pumpkins 🙂
That is boys for you…us ladies are a bit more refined when we go out LOL!
omd, what a wonderful outing and everyone ended up with their own pumpkin! what could be better than that.
wags, bailey unleashed
Yep, just Mom did not get one for herself, but we will share with her.
Your all very good to pose in the wind – I hope you got extra treats?! Love that Bailie decided to eat her pumpkin!
Katie and I love wind having lived on the North Sea coast, Bailie is not as sure about it.
I have never seen so many Pumpkins in my life BOL xxooxx
Mollie and Alfie
That is so fun that you have a dog friendly pumpkin patch! We don’t have many real pumpkin patches left and I don’t think we have any dog friendly ones. I’ll have to keep my eye out though!
We live in the suburbs but farms are right around the corner, practically, so we are lucky to have both worlds
We are very happy you are feeling better and healing well. Looks like everyone was having a great time. We didn’t have a close pumpkin patch that allowed dogs I thought Mica would enjoy going. My Tyler use to want to eat the pumpkin and seeds but Mica and Lexie are not interested:-)
Bailie eats everything, Katie and I are more refined 🙂
The photos are great! I had to laugh at the last one where Bailie is chewing on the pumpkin stalk.
Anything she can find to chew on is fair game 🙂
