I was asked by EZYDog if I would like to review one of their Cujo leashes. With three dogs we are always in need of a leash, and we don’t have one like this so I figured why why not give it a try?
We chose the 25″ black leash, since our leashes tend to all be black (to hide the dirt). When it arrived, Mom opened it up and took a good look at it. She fell in love with the handle immediately. She said it was the most comfortable leash handle she had ever had in her hand. It seemed to be real sturdy and it had the reflector threads that she had read about online. It seemed a bit short, so we decided to go out with her one by one and give it a try.
We found that it worked well for all three of us, even at our different heights. Mom bought coupler back when she had Trine and Katie together. We tried hooking it up to the leash with Katie and I and it worked like a charm. The best part about the leash, aside from feeling so nice in Mom’s hand, is the dog(s) on the leash really walk in the “heel” position naturally. We normally walk on long leashes so we can do a lot of sniffing and exploring, but this leash keeps us right by Mom and would be ideal in the city, or out shopping. If we pull ahead or lag behind the shock absorber in the leash gently pulls us back to the correct position, and the shock absorbing feature keeps Mom’s arm from being jolted. For Bailie it has been great to help her learn to walk at a constant speed and next to Mom. She likes to do lots of stop and go, but this helps her to learn to pay attention to where Mom is walking. We all love it!
Here is a short video of each of us walking with Mom on the leash. We want to thank Meredith, Mom’s niece, for doing the filming. Mom couldn’t walk and get the right video shot at the same time. Meredith did an awesome job for us!
Mom, Katie, Bailie, and I give this leash a four paws up rating! We are trying to decide if we want to buy one or two more. Bailie and I would do well on the coupler soon, so we will see what Mom decides. EZYDog also offers their own coupler and they have a leash extension as well. In the meantime, we have a great deal for you! Hop on over to the EZYDog site and get 10% off your own purchase, just enter the promocode: EZY10off The code is good through November 15, 2013.

EZYDog sent My GBGV Life an EZYDog Cujo leash to review. I did not receive compensation for this review. These are my own opinions based on how we used the leash.
Walking is something you can do all your life and walking with your dog is the best! Get your dog on a leash and walk over to the FitDog Friday blog hop sponsored by SlimDoggy, Peggy’s Pet Place and To Dog With Love Stop by and see what other dogs are doing to stay fit!
Nice leash! I like the handle! Have a nice weekend!
Mom says it is the best handle on a leash she has ever had.
Emma- we are fans of anything that can help you and your pack get your daily exercise. I wonder if they make one of those for children 😉 ?
They have an even shorter version that we would recommend for kids 😉
Awesome review, We love our EzyDog leash too. The shock absorber is great.
Mom loves not being jolted around as much, and we don’t mind either.
Have a fabulous Friday Emma.
Best wishes Molly
Happy Friday!
Nice demonstration! EZY Dog makes some great products!
Thank you, we like the leash a lot and did see that they have other interesting products as well.
This leash looks amazing! I’m going to have to have my mom check it out!
We really like it!
With three of you that coupler makes great sense Emma…WE have the earlier version of the EZYdog leash and Momz likes to use it when we’re going to be in a crowd as it does keep me nice and close
For regular walks it is restrictive but if we go somewhere it is ideal and the coupler works great with it.
That’s a super cool leash! Thanks for this product review – I’m still working on my wishlist for Santa Paws :o)
Add it on, buddy!
Thanks for the review, I’ll have to check them out.
It works for all of us or two of us, but for bigger dogs they work the best.
Mommy really likes her EZY Dog leash! She says it is the best!
We just used it in the city with the coupler, it works great.
I definitely want to try this leash out, both of the girls like to pull and I think it would be perfect for them. I was unsure about the handle, so glad to know your Mom likes it. Thanks for the promo code, I’ll be using that for sure!
That handle is awesome! We were just in the city with it using the coupler for Katie and I and the pulling was not an issue at all. Just love it!
That does it mom is ordering the leash! We have seen it on a few other blogs and were very interested because I am such a puller, and mom’s elbows are bad already. Thanks for the promo code I don’t think we saw that before! Love Dolly
It really eliminates the pulling naturally, and it saves on Mom’s arms and shoulders…with three of us, her upper body needs all the help she can find.
That looks like a darn good one Emma!
But not for cats – LOL!
Great review. I really like a short leash when we’re out in “public” and I love the idea of the shock absorber in this one. Great video demonstration! Thanks!
It is great in the city, we used it there with the coupler yesterday, worked quite well.
A shock absorbing feature sounds like a wonderful idea. Is the shock absorbing like a bungee so that the leash stretches a bit?
Yes, they can pull it out a bit but it is is a spring like tough elastic, so it isn’t comfortable for them.
Scooter & I love the EzyDog range. We have a similar leash to the Cujo – the Mutley leash – that we use when biking together. The bungy helps absorb some of the tension if Scooter decides to pull & we like it being a little shorter as it stops him running out in front near the tyres. Cool review
That shock absorber feature is wonderful since it naturally keeps us from pulling and it saves on Mom’s shoulder. Have a great day!
Looks like a great leash. Thanks for the review!
We like it a lot!
I’ve been reading about this leash but your video is the first time I’ve seen it in action. Nice job. It was interesting to see how each dog responded a little bit differently to the leash. But no one pulled your arm out of your socket.
Very helpful review.
Thank you. Our biggest issue right now is the pulling of one dog, usually me or Bailie. Mom’s arm gets muscular, but tired. This leash really eliminates the strain on both ends of the leash. Katie is much better behaved but it still works will with her being so nice to hold onto.
Great review and I agree on every point you made! I own the EzyDog chest plate harness and Sparky leash (smaller version of the cujo) which is all I ever use. Mama also loves the handle and together they save her arm cos I am a very strong puller!
Mom says her shirt sleeves are all too short because her arms have gotten so long with us pulling dogs…no more!
Today I walked the dogs around the block on their six foot leashes. They did pretty well and it is something they will need to get used to for the winter, because our wood walks will be limited. I’ve been thinking about a coupler for them and I think this review might just be the push I need. Thanks so much for sharing!
Just remember to give the coupler a chance, at first it can be tough because one wants to stop, the other left, etc. It is really handy when Mom wants us close like in town or on a busy road and that shock absorber made the 120 lbs of dog easy to handle.
