I’m special police agent Emma, today out on Poop Patrol. Wait, what is that in the distance? Someone did not pick up their dog’s poop! I better go bark with them about the importance of always picking up after your dog! You may think you are so sneaky, but most of the time someone is watching.
There are so many reasons to pick up after your pup!
- No one wants to step in poo, that is disgusting!
- It is bad for the environment, the longer it sits the worse it gets!
- Humans don’t like humans that leave poop piles lying around!
- You need to see what comes out of your dog – you may find out your dog is ill by noticing changes in the poop. Disgusting? Maybe, but part of your job as a pet parent.
- Have some pride, don’t litter the areas you walk in with poop!

Love it Emma, that first photo is hilarious, we always poop then scoop π Have a super day xxooxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Once I tried scooping before pooping, but that didn’t work real well! LOL! Happy Monday!
Great post. That’s one mighty big poop collector you’ve got there π
There is a lot of poop to scoop!
Great reasons emma. Thanks for the awareness hop.
Thank you and thanks for stopping by!
That top picture is the best of all. Just the cutest. We always pick up Katie’s poop. New York City became a much better place to walk once they passed the poop law and it just takes a second.it is part of being a responsible dog guardian.
Exactly! No matter where the poop is, it is so much easier to clean up right away then hunting for it days later!
Good job special agent Emma! All good reasons to scoop!
Thank you, I think someone should try to come up with a list of reasons not to scoop, but that list would be so short it would not even exist!
Emma that is just brilliant. Well funny. Looks like you are gonna scoop elephants poop. Joking aside great message and we always do.
Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
I put my paws down at elephant poop…I stick to dogs, maybe occasional cat poo.
Emma, you look like you are all over poop patrol. Great job!
Being a scent hound makes my job easy – LOL!
Emma, you are so photogenic. That first picture is a classic!
Mom says I look like Barney Fife, not sure if that is a good thing, though.
That’s fantastic, I would love to hear you give them a piece of your doggie mind! Looking good in the uniform.
I can really howl and bark up a storm when I have something to make noise about!
Emma, you look mighty fine as a Poop Patrol Officer! And where did you find that pawesome pile of poop with the great sign sticking out of it?!? That is priceless. Here is to everyone ScoopingThatPoop!
*high paws*
Oz
Thank you, a scent hound makes a good poop officer! Bailie took that picture of poop for me when she went to a dog event for me last month. I couldn’t go because I had just had surgery but she knew that I was on the poop campaign, so she got that shot for me.
Great job spreading this important message Emma! Love your first picture!
Thank you, I do take my position seriously!
Emma, you are the best Poop Pawliceofficer ever and the most photogenic! Apaws for your advocacy! I love you, Emma! Maggie the PBGV
Thank you. I try my best at all my jobs.
Hey Emma
No-one’s gonna break the rules whilst you’re on duty buddy!! Love the poop sign! π
Have fun,
Your pal Snoopy π
Thanks! We thought the sign was pretty cool!
where in the world did that big Poop come from?
My sister Katie – LOL! No, I have to be nice…it was a display at a fair for dogs π
That first photo has me cracking up. Thanks for keeping the streets clean!
Barney Fife double at your service… π
Rooo Emma – that Police cap really suits you! *Waggy tail*
Sometimes it is fun to be rule enforcer.
Wonderful post! Love your outfit and that giant “poop” is going to need a couple of bags to pick it up!!! π
That is why I have the wheelbarrow, for big piles like that!
Yes,that first pic shows some serious scooping Emma!
You never know when an elephant may pass through your neighborhood and leave a pile. A dog needs to be prepared!
Oh My that’s a BIG Poop!!! Love your Poop Patrol Police hat. Good Job, Emma. Golden Thanks for being a Poop Patrol, #ScoopThatPoop. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Thanks for having us on the poop team. It is a serious subject but we like to have fun with it π Glad you guys are safe after those terrible storms!
That first pic is so cute! But that gigantic fake turd… Wow. Gross. I guess it sends a message if you see that thing! (We always scoop!)
Yep, pretty nasty but perfect for a post like this one!
I certainly hope, Emma, that you don’t see enough unscooped poop to need that big yard cart. That’s disgusting.
One more reason for scooping–it’s the biggest excuse people give for banning dogs from public places. In my town, dogs aren’t allowed in the largest park or the downtown, outdoor shopping mall, just because the city is worried about unscooped poop.
Humans can be so lazy and inconsiderate! Just a few bad apples ruin it for all of us!
Emma, you’re so adorable on poop patrol I almost want to leave something unstopped just to see you hunt me down. We use the same kind of bags that you’re displaying on the last photo. =D
Thanks! Those bags are great as they help mask the smell!
I absolutely LOVE your poop patrol costume. What a cute way to spread the word. π
Costume? That is my uniform. I take my work seriously, you know π
I don’t think anyone wants to mess with Officer Emma. I know I wouldn’t…..we’ll all be picking up that poop for sure (if we weren’t already)! Can’t have too many poop bags, so we’ll enter the giveaway too!
Exactly, can’t pass up good free poop bags!
I pick up after my dogs. The other day I watched someone jogging with their dog and their dog stopped to poop…owner got out poop bags, and by then I’d caught up and realized why she was having issues…
Liquid diarrhea all over the trail. >.<
Does anyone have any handy suggestions for moments like that?
That is the one thing I haven’t figured out. My sister has the runs on occasion, but it really can’t be picked up. I figure we do our best to always pick up but no one can be perfect and these things happen. If anyone does have a suggestion, we would love to hear it!
With all the rain and leaves falling we have been having a hard time keeping up with the Newfs. Since they are basically the only ones in the back yard right now they don’t really mind. We need some dry days to get out and clean up!
We don’t poop in the yard, but on the occasion where we have a friend over that does, Mom always picks it up right away so she doesn’t have to go “hunting”.
we always scoop the poop but i wish the bags were 1/2 the size, for the tiny breed dogs. they are huge for bailey’s little poopies.
That would seem like a waste. We are all bigger, so Mom tries to get all three piles in one bag, partly to save bags as three dogs need a lot of bags, and also because she only has to carry one.
You make one good poop collector Emma! What a yucky job but somebody has to do it!
Well, that is just it, if everyone did it for themselves I wouldn’t have to π
OMD… that is one big pile of poop! Wow!
I’m pretty sure it must have been an elephant posing as a dog!
An excellent post! We always pick up our poops. Mom and dad love ours! But clearly there are many who don’t.
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
This is true. We are always picked up after by Mom.
OMD! Is that a giant poop sculpture? I LOVE it!
It has to be from an elephant!
Ick Emma. That’s SOME pile of poop! Good thing you’re on patrol. π
If I stepped in that pile, I would go missing for sure! Yuck!
Your ‘health checking’ point is a very good one often forgotten!
Forgotten and no one wants to actually talk about the fact that they look at poop!
Not in typists family – on returning from the walk with her cairn her mum asks for an update every night!
I love that first photo! You could clean up after elephants with that barrow!
We live fairly close to the Minnesota Zoo, so I want to be prepared in case an elephant does get out – LOL!
