Bailie has been living with us for a couple months now, the weather wasn’t the best today, so I decided it would be a great time to lie down and interview her. She thought it would be fun, so we got started.
Emma: Thank you for letting me interview you Bailie.
Bailie: No problem, I like to do just about anything you are doing.
Emma: What is up with that any way? No matter what I do or where I go, you are like a shadow. Grrr…
Bailie: I think you are so cool, I want to be just like you, so I’m trying to be a mini you! Arrooooo!
Emma: Do you see that pile of toys you have here and you have even more scattered about the house. Why do you have so many toys?
Bailie: I love toys. They are fun to chew on, some of them make fun noises, some of them I can even chase, like the balls.
Emma: So, are you happy here at our house or would you rather go back and live with your parents and other thirteen brothers and sisters?
Bailie: I want to stay here for sure. Life is good, I have two fun doggy sisters, two cats to chase around, Mom spoils me and we get to do lots of fun stuff. I’m a happy puppy! Woof, woof!
Emma: You are a pretty good puppy, very mellow, not getting into much trouble. Why is that?
Bailie: I learn a lot from you and Katie. At first I thought you both were totally boring, but now I see that you are just quiet types, and wanting to fit in, I’m now a quiet type too.
Emma: Do you have any big goals set for your life yet?
Bailie: Actually, I do. My first thing is that I am determined to capture that red dot. Big sigh…
Emma: What are you talking about?
Bailie: Sometimes when it is dark outside this red dot appears and I chase it. I chase it around the house, out in the yard, all over. I haven’t been able to catch it yet, but I am determined. I think Mom has something to do with it, but I haven’t figured it out yet.
Emma: How is dog school going for you? Why aren’t you top of the class like I was? Grrr…
Bailie: Well, Emma, I behave at home and that is where it really counts. At school everyone has treats. I love food, so I figure why not just try to get all the food I can at school and be obedient at home. I mean I learn my lessons, just would rather sniff out food at school.
Emma: Why do you keep biting and pulling on my ears? You know that hurts and it is getting on my nerves, you are getting some real teeth you know!
Bailie: You don’t always pay attention to me, so I do that to get you to play with me. I don’t understand why you don’t always want to play with me? Your ears are fun toys to pull on too!
Emma: You are such a food focused dog! Will you ever stop worrying about food?
Bailie: If you had to share with 13 other puppies, you would be the same way. Mom says I am improving, and I know we share well here at home, but I still like to get all the food I can, just to be safe.
Emma: How about our cat bro Bert? What is the deal with the two of you? Woof, woof!
Bailie: He is always trying to be the boss of me, so I just chase him and never let him win any battles. He is kind of fun to play with. I especially love it that Mom has me hunt him down when he tries to run outside. It is like tackle football with a cat!
Emma: You still don’t have your full big dog fur coat. Do you think you will freeze outside with us in Minnesota snow and cold?
Bailie: I might not be able to stay out as long as you and Katie this winter. Mom will have to monitor me to make sure I’m not too cold. great products to keep a pup warm There are also some great products to keep a pup warm that she could buy for me.
Emma: Do you think you will like the nose work and tracking classes Mom is planning on taking you to?
Bailie: My nose is really good, and I love sniffing, so I think I will do really well. You are going to do nose work classes with me I was told, but I will try tracking on my own first. I love following a scent! Arrroooo!
Emma: My last question is: how did it feel flushing your first wabbit out from under the bushes the other day? Huge congratulations, by the way! Pant, pant, pant…
Bailie: Oh my dog! That was the biggest moment of my GBGV life so far! I can’t wait to find more of those wabbits! I’m sure that you and I will have lots of fun teaming up to find and capture them!
Emma: Thanks for barking about stuff with me.
Bailie: No problem, but now it is time for my nap. I’m still a puppy that needs lots of sleep. ZZzzzzz…
On a side note: Starting December 1st, I will be co-hosting, along with several other bloggers, the Kol’s Notes “Advent Calendar for Dog Lovers” that has fun giveaways planned for each day of Advent. This will be my first time, and I am really excited to be part of such a fun holiday event!
I’m joining in the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies
Bailie it was lovely reading more things about you. I can never get the red dot and I am such a food junkie BOL xxooxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Maybe you red dot dogs need to gang up against that evil dot.
Emma-you are such a good big sister. Bailie really loves you and Katie. What a nice family you have. You guys are so lucky!
We are lucky, the only problem is that we have to be leashed on walks which making catching squirrels almost impossible.
You can come live with me and Katie for a while, we have squirrels in our ceiling! It is driving us all crazy.
Bailie, so great to learn more about you! I can’t get that red dot either 🙁
I guess lots of dogs have that red dot issue!
Sounds like you have settled in just fine Bailie. (But a tip…you will never get that red dot. You might get a wabbitt first!) Thanks for the great interview Emma. 🙂
Boy, she will be upset if she finds out catching the red dot is impossible, but I may have to slowly break it to her.
Hi Bailie, it was nice to get to know you better. You are so lucky to have such a good big sister. You are starting to look like a real GBGV too.
She is turning into a young dog really fast!
That was such a cute interview… or interbark. Thanks! Please keep me informed about the mystery of the red dot :o)
That red dot drives Bailie crazy. Katie and I aren’t interested in it but Bailie and our cat bro Bert are nuts for it.
Bailie, you’ll get the red dot eventually. Don’t give up! =D
She has vowed to keep hunting it until it is caught.
Great interview Emma. Bailie seems to be fitting in just fine. Mom is reading your book, and couldn’t help notice that you guys are the opposite in the school dept. That’s pretty funny.
We are exact opposites in the school department for sure, but Mom says we are alike in most other ways.
Bailie you are so cute! Enjoyed the interview and getting to know more about you. We don’t think you will ever get the red dot either, but who knows!
She is still quite optimistic and just keeps trying. Our cat bro Bert is also helping her out.
Bailie nice to learn more about you. No red dot here to drives us wild and we are into our foodables too. Congratulations on flushing out the wabbit.
Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly.
I really excited that she is getting good at spotting squirrels and wabbits. I think we will be an excellent hunting team.
What a great interview Emma! Bailie seems to be following your lead perfectly and that’s good because you are awesome!
Oh thanks! I think she is turning out pretty well!
it was so cute!! Emma I am glad you love your new sister!!
I have to admit, the first few weeks I wasn’t sure, but now I sure do love her and we have lots of fun!
Bailie, I sure hope you catch a wabbit! Loved your interview!
I think she will catch one, once she finds one in the yard…she will get one!
When Oprah retires I think you will be ready to fill the gig as America’s top interviwer
I would love that job, I like being the center of it all and on camera! I could have Eko for my first guest.
What a great interview, Emma. Bailie is so articulate for a puppy 🙂
She is the next smarty pants.
Hahah AROOOOO
Woof, woof!
Rooo oh Bailey, you’re such a sweet little puppy girl. You’ve gotta stop biting your sisters ears tho *Waggy tail*
Mom noticed last night that I have lots of bite marks under the fur. She also told me that I did that to Katie but bit her more in the tail all the time.
Great interview, Emma! It was fun to learn all these things about Bailie. I love how she looks up to you and wants to be just like you!
She is my constant shadow.
Such clever dogs 🙂
We try our best 😉
That sure was fun and we loved learning more about Bailie fur sure!
Thanks…there is lots to learn with a new pup for sure!
Oh, our Bailey used to love to chase the red dot too! We tried it with our Abby, and it made her CRAZY. So, Rita has never been introduced to the red dot… I wonder if she’d even care if I showed it to her? Great interview, grrrls! It was fun to learn more about you, Bailie!
Katie and I have no interest, but Bailie and cat bro Bert go wild over it!
Haha ha that was a fabulous interview. Fun stuff.
Thank you 🙂
Love the pile of stuffed animals!!! 🙂
Bailie is really into her toys especially squeaky stuffies!
Flattery leaped off the couch and started asking where Minnesota is when she heard the word rabbits! It was fun learning more about you, Miss Bailie! You sound like a pup who knows her own mind!
Bunny
Come on up…we could go on a nice wabbit hunt together! There are always plenty of them around for lots of hounds.
Love the interview, and btw, we nominated you for the Shine On Award. You can see the post on MatildasJourney.com
-Livvie of Matilda’s Journey
Thank you…I will pop over and check it out.
You’re such a great interviewer Emma! Bailie is settling in so well and that’s wonderful! You’r a great big sis!
Thanks! Mom is waiting for her to turn into a terrorist puppy, but we think she will continue being a pretty good girl.
Very cute interview Emma and Bailie 🙂 You and your sisfur sound similar to my human children sisters. Except for the part of the interview where you mention that Bailey is well-behaved and mellow… BOL
Mom says from the three of us she is by far the easiest puppy. Katie and I like to take most of the credit for that.
Brilliant interview, well done you!
Thank you, it was fun.
The mom went away for a few days and I could not turn on her computer! Those buttons are hard for my paws to press….grrrr. What a great interview, and Bailie is really getting smart! WOW!!! A wabbit. Emma, maybe your mom should get you a snood so Bailie cannot hurt your ears so badly. Bruises and teeth marks…ouch! Maggie the PBGV
She just can’t leave my floppys alone, but I know one day she will out grow that. That is bad that your mom went away, I never like it when that happens!
Hey Emma
I really enjoyed your interview with Bailie!! She’s such a little cutie, very sweet that she’s your shadow, I like to be a shadow to my Mum cos I’m an only dog and I have to make do, I don’t have a cool Emma to follow around!
Have fun guys,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
PS – Don’t forget to teach her some mischief 🙂
Believe me, she finds enough of her own mischief!
