I have a few loose ends to tie up and I figured today would be a great day to do that, so I’m joining the This N’ That Thursday Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and their co-host Ruckus the Eskie. Stop by and see what other bloggers are doing today!
Posts from our vacation are coming to an end tomorrow, but today I have a few more photos of my activities to share with my friends.
Our house is on a golf course, meaning I just had to get out on the links myself. Normally dogs aren’t allowed on the course, but I managed to play a few holes with no one noticing that I was a dog. I think it was my cool Maui Jim shades that kept me from being noticed. What a gorgeous course setting!
I took another photo opportunity on the 10th tee box since I checked my pace and I was actually ahead of schedule. This fairway is right next to another one of those alligator ponds. It really makes a dog like myself uneasy trying to keep one eye out for gators while concentrating on my swing!
Tennis is another great sport. I couldn’t find anyone to play with me, though. Golf is great because you can play on your own but tennis needs at least two for a game. Unfortunately, there were no labs available that day.
Katie, Bailie, and I are on Pets Move. Last month was senior month where Katie came in with second place for the most paws. She won a prize for her performance. She was so excited to have mail, usually I’m the one that gets mail and packages around here. The t-shirt is for Mom, but the Zuke’s minis are for Katie. She was just a bit bummed because Mom told her she had to wait to open the treats. Way to go big sis! Don’t forget to join the first ever virtual βMove your Mutt-a-thonβ Canine Health and Fitness Expo! Jan 1- Jan 4, 2014.
Last Saturday I took my books and some other items to a holiday craft fair. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, below zero and icy, making turnout real low. I did have lots of people taking my photo, I visited Santa, met a weird reindeer, and had tons of people petting me. Mom says next time we will leave our wares at home and just bring me and the camera, charge $5 for a photo of me or with me and we would be rich! We had to stay for six hours which was like six years in dog time. I was exhausted and tried my best to nap the last couple hours. The pin on my hat is my photo on Santa’s lap. He loves dogs and reassured me that I am definitely on the good list. I have been resting well since finding that out!
I was given two blogging awards in the past couple weeks. I will add them to my awards page.
First I received the “Shine On Award” from Matilda’s Journey. Thank you so much for thinking of me.
Second I received the “Blog of the Year Award” from Clowie. Thank you! Clowie is a great Pyr and reminds me a lot of my big sister Katie.

I so enjoy reading catch up posts!
This was a totally loaded one!
I would love to play golf with you. I bet you sonar for finding the balls is great!
Especially if you have scented golf balls π
Emma, golf is great but you absolutely must keep an eye out for gators. They just walk onto the golf courses and start sunning themselves. At least with tennis, you are protected in the big cage from the gators. Wonderful This n That. Your photos are always wonderful.
Happy Thursday!
Oz
Thanks Oz! That gator in my post last week was on a different fairway just down the street. Bad gators!
Wow looking cool.
Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
I like to look cool when I can.
Oh, you got to meet Santa Paws, that’s so cool. I bet you’re on his nice list, but I’m a bit worried that Bailie will end up as naughty. I’m sure she’ll get presents anyway. Santa has a big heart. =)
I asked him to not be too hard on Bailie as she is not mean spirited, just learning about life and trying her best but she slips up a lot.
You sure look fly in those shades Emma. I’m glad they didn’t catch you and throw you in doggy jail!!
Congratulations on your awards, well deserved!
Heavens, jail would be terrible! I didn’t think about that.
Dang, to bad about the craft fair. You look great on the course with your cool shades though!
It was a learning experience. We won’t try that again but we had fun at least.
Congrats on your awards!!! And you look sooooo adorable with those sunglasses on!
And your pics with Santa to. My huskies will NOT keep anything like that on long enough to let me take a pic, and believe me, I have tried! LOL
We are #9 in the hop, come on by!
I love modeling hats and glasses. Mom says I’m a natural.
It looks so beautiful in Florida and I’m sure you had a great time! It is so pretty there that I think I might have stayed and not gone home! Congrats on your awards.
It was fun for vacation, but we wouldn’t want to stay there. We are much happier in Minnesota.
You do out n’ about better than anyone Emma!
I’m a GBGV that likes to experience it all!
You guys are full-speed ahead this month – Florida, craft fairs, competitions – I’m not sure when you find time to sleep!
I sleep when Mom goes into the office. I have been a very busy pup!
Playing golf looks so much fun. I recently chewed a golf ball and I loved it:-)
I have never tried chewing on one, maybe I should.
Congratulations to your awards, Emma. I would like to play Tennis with you, but without rackets I think , we only need a ball. In my area dogs are allowed on nearly all golf courses ( leashed) It’s boring with my dad and embarrassing with my mom :o)
Do you get to drive the cart?
The shades definitely disguised you… good choice. Congrats on the awards! Pretty coolio. And I think your mom is right, charging for the pic is the way to go. lol
That day it would really have been a money maker, maybe next time!
That golf course looks like lots of fun! I’ve never played real golf before but I am pretty good at mini putt putt π Too bad the craft fair turnout wasn’t good.
Yeah, I think we had it with craft fairs, but it was a good learning experience.
Thanks for catching us up…I”ll miss you FL pics cause it looked like you had so much fun. Love that pace of play clock! Good news from Santa about what list you are on – it’s touch and go for us over here still.
Thanks for the shout out about PetsMove – you guys are rocking it!
Now that we are above zero, we can put back more miles again! That wind chill has been seriously dangerous for days, so we couldn’t be out much. Tomorrow I have a couple FL pics and then it will just be frozen photos until like June π
I guess we have to add golf to your list of many talents now! Big difference in the weather there and the weather for your crafts fair. Congrats on your awards, Emma!
It was just a 100 degree difference, not too bad π We enjoyed the nice weather but deep down Mom and us are more for winter weather although the past week was too extreme since we could barely go out with the dangerous wind chills.
I think your mom has a good idea to charge for pictures with you, Emma. But make sure you get a good cut of the action. After all, you’re the star.
Honey has never tried regular golf. But she loves mini golf. It goes much quicker.
No worries, I get pretty much anything I want or need whether I earn my own money or not π Real golf is a long sport but a good activity to keep you busy outdoors.
You are a star, Emma! $5.00 is not enuff! XOXO Maggie the PBGV
Well, $5 is better than nothing which is what I got, but if it makes people happy, that is the main thing.
Aww you look soooo adorable with those glasses on!
We are #17, come on by to read about a tragic crash in an Animal Shelter!
Purrs coming your way,
Mikko & Me
Thank you. I will stop by shortly.
All those pics are SO adorable! Congrats on the awards and congrats to Katie on the win!
Thank you. I love having my photo taken, especially with a good “scene”.
What nice stunnas. Also, how’d you sit so calmly with Santa?!
Thanks for hopping on for this week’s This ‘N That Thursday Bloghop. See you next week!
I have to admit that the guy is a bit creepy, but he seemed nice enough and we had matching hats!
Well done Katie Woohoooooo.just loved all the photo’s π and big congrats on the super awards xxooxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Thanks you guys!
Have to ask: what’s your handicap, Emma? And, see… you should’ve stopped by and taken us with you. We’re always up for tennis! Woofs from Jeffie, Rudy and Rosie
My handicap is that I am a dog and golf is made for humans…try to find clubs with 12 inch shafts! If I have you three, we could have played doubles! Maybe next time I will rent a bigger vehicle and pick you all up since you are on the way. You would only have to ride like 16 hours.
Thanks so much for joining TNT. Too bad about the craft fair. Boy we sure have been having our share of snow. Hubby had to plow every day we were at the cabin and then when we got home today he had to snow blow…lol. Your pictures on the golf course look much better. π Congrats on your award!
So I guess he has had it with winter already?
That is what he said…lol.
