I know it is Wordless Wednesday, but not long after this photo, tragedy struck at our house. Mini Me was eleven years old, survived life unscathed with many different dogs until the day this photo was taken. Poor Mini Me had his right ear eaten off, chewed into small pieces and carelessly spit out onto the floor by none other than Bailie. He is now trying to survive with just one ear, surgery to repair his head, and no longer being a true Mini Me. He will never be whole again, but he was loved for many years. Good luck Mini Me!
PS: I am a bit nervous because Bailie has a habit of grabbing me by my ears…I sure hope I don’t someday end up with only one ear!
Today, Iβm joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by BlogPaws today! Donβt forget to stop by and visit some new blogs for fun!
We loved the photo but did think that stuffie would last two seconds with Mollie LOL
Mollie and Alfie
Mini me had an incredible life and was fortunate to have made it so long, but how sad that he is now permanently deformed.
Aww, poor Mini Me! I’m also feeling sad today. KΓΌster destroyed all three of our new Valentine loofah dogs. π
Bunny
What is it with some dogs destroying toys? Katie and I don’t destroy toys at all, we barely play with them. 3 dead loofah dogs is terrible!
Ohhhh Nooooooooooooo!!! Cover your ears!!! That photo is adorable!!
I’m going to have to be much more careful around her I think!
You better have Mom get you some ear muffs!!!
Or some steel ear covers!
The “Mini” looks to be almost the same size already…where has the time gone?
Oh….you were talking about the stuffed mini, huh? Glad you finally found one! π
Bailie is almost my size…once she fills out, we will be the same.
That’s such a cute photo too. Poor mini me, You better watch it Emma, you would look funny with half an ear.
Yikes! I can’t imagine losing a floppy! Mini Me just will never be the same!
Poor mini me he had a great life! I think it is a good idea to watch your ears! Love Dolly
Bailie seems to think they are handles for her to hang on to. I don’t bite her ears, she doesn’t get the message.
It is so weird. All of my Katie’s friends come in the house and want to destroy her toys. Katie never destroys her toys. So the rules are when they come visit they bring there own toy to destroy.
Such a great picture but Emma I don’t think Bailie would dare tear you ear off so don’t worry. She loves you too much!
Oh no, poor mini me! Good thing it wasn’t your ear, Emma! In Bailie’s defense, that toy wouldn’t have lasted five seconds in our house. =)
Oh Nose…..Poor Mini Me! RIP Mini Me Ear!
It was really bad, can’t even repair the ear π
Poor Mini me…I’m sure you’ll see her again at the rainbow bridge. Maybe give her ears a little nibble back and see how she likes it!
I’m not interested in her ears, but she sure likes mine!
Mini me is so cute, but saddened he is missing an ear. That is something I would chew off. The mom has to be so very careful of parts that can be eaten (by me) when she goes to the pet store, She has many “mini me” Bostons (that we are not allowed to touch!)…but no mini me Peebs. XOXO Panda the Boston
Bailie ate the guts out of her duck the other day and spent the next day pooping out white fluff! We have to keep an eye on her!
Sorry to read your mini me is doing a Van Gogh. RIP mini ear. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
That is an artistic way to think about it, I feel better now π
Oh Emma, that Bailie can be such a troublemaker. I sure hope she doesn’t bite off one of your ears one of these days…though then you and mini you will look alike once more.
Happy WW,
Oz
I really want to keep my ears as I like them and Mom loves them, so I have to really make sure she doesn’t eat mine off.
Oh No! Poor Mini Me! Daisy usually goes for the nose first on all of her toys but the ears don’t last long either!
It is quite sad π
Hey Emma, I can relate. In a moment of rage last year, I tore the head off of my Mini Me. It was gut wrenching when I came to my senses. I had him since I was born, and the breeder let me take him with me to Doodle Mom’s house. He’s gone now, surgery to repair was unsuccessful. My condolences to you my furrend. I feel your pain… Harley
Mini Me is doing okay after brain surgery, but he is in isolation until Bailie comes to her senses π Thanks for sharing your pain, Harley.
Glad you managed to snap this photo first because it is stinkin cute!
I know, can’t believe we will never have another photo like this one, maybe Bailie and I can hide one of our ears and pose?
Oh my!! You’ve got a little cannibal in your midst. You best be sleeping with one eye open. hehe
No kidding! It is downright dangerous these days at my house!
That was my first thought too as I read your post, Emma. Maybe you should wear earmuffs when Bailie is close by. Better to have no mini-me than a chewed ear :o)
She does really rip on my floppys when we are playing, I will have to be more careful with allowing that.
I have a stuffed parrot that is far more than 11 years old…it is missing legs, but still good! Just stitch your Mini up and it’ll be fine. π
Fine maybe, but will never look like me exactly again π
Forget the earmuffs, we think you need a football helmet
With my ears stuffed into it!
Cutesie woootsie girls!
Thanks π
Oh dear, poor mini me. Watch out for your ears Ems, you’ll have to invent some kind of ear protector to keep them safe
Or a muzzle for my sister!
Poor Mini-Me. It was good while it lasted…lol.
I am pretty broken up about it as it was my favorite toy after Bunny, but it is too late now for that ear!
We’ve had a lot of Mini-Me’s loved to pieces through the years. Is there a Rainbow Bridge for stuffies.
I don’t care about most of them, but this one was rather special, no putting that ear back together.
Lol! Bailey, you silly dog! XD I think we need to see a before and after of poor Mini Me!
Once I pull myself together and Mini Me is out of the ICU we may attempt one.
I’d sleep with one eye open for a while just to be on the safe side, Emma!
I don’t think that Bailie can be trusted at this point!
Oh no! That is a really long time to survive as a dog toy. 11 years must be like 500 years in human years lol…
And through several puppies and guest dogs and then my own little sister almost kills him. So sad!
Poor Mini Me! I have a stuffed dog toy that I’ve had for 30 years and my dog Sephi chewed its nose off. The stuffed toy brings me memories of my dog Cassie and its missing nose brings me memories of Sephi.
I guess I won’t forget my sister when I look at Mini Me.
Oh Bailie! What a puppy! First, you let a repairman come to the door, then you maim Mini Me! Emma is going to have to put you in time-out if you don’t behave yourself. I hope Mini Me pulls through! LOL!!
Mini Me is still in the ICU in shock but the ear is gone forever, so tragic.
Adorable photo….well I guess Mini Me survived 11 years unscathed…maybe it’s time for a new toy now, mum?
But where can we ever find a Mini Me? That one was from a tiny town in Germany.
My BFF hungry Benn only destroy his toy, when I’m in the room with him. I think he plays tough.
Bailie did it in secret, naughty sister.
The 3 of you are so adorable! So sorry about poor Mini Me. π Sure hope Bailie doesn’t go for your ear next! It may be best to sleep with one eye open for a little while, Emma. π
I think I will follow everyone’s advice and sleep with one eye open for a while to be safe.
Oh dear, Emma. I hope Bailie doesn’t get any ideas about making you “match” Mini Me again! Hang on to your ears, girlie!!
I’m being much more careful with my ears when Bailie and I are playing, that is for sure!
Hope ya don’t wind up matching Mini Me!
I better not!
I keep telling you pal, lots of stamps and into the post. Typist aint that bad I bet she would look after her ok!
I may have to ship her off if she keeps this trouble up!
Well, I’m very sad for your Mini Me.
Love that photo! You guys are precious but we feel sorry for Mini Me:(
It is tough dealing with permanent disfigurement, but I am helping Mini Me get through it.
aww, i’m sorry about your mini you, but look at the bright side, at least it wasn’t totally destroyed.
wags, bailey unleashed
Mini Me is in rough shape. One ear gone, most squeakers are dead, but he is still clinging to life.
LOVE!!!! Your pictures are always so amazing!!!!

This photo looks relaxed and adorable, but sorry about Mini Me though.
It is a tragedy, but he is fighting to stay alive with one ear.
Your dogs look so relaxed and comfy in this picture π
They were. In the house we are usually pretty mellow.
