Enjoying a gorgeous winter day from my snow cave! I know many of you are sick of winter, but we LOVE winter at my house…bring on the snowstorms!
I amย joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white!
We love your snow cave. Have a serene Sunday and get in some big easy today.
Best wishes Molly
Lots of resting up on my schedule ๐
Maybe if we all got out there making snow caves, we’d enjoy winter more, right? ๐
With humans I think it is a mind set. Mom loves to be out and shovel for a work out and play with us for fun just like a big kid.
That really is a great cave but we are ready for winter to depart!
We are hoping for another good month of it. The kitties don’t care because they are indoors anyway.
Love this pic! You look perfectly comfortable in there watching the world go by. Now you gotta dig it a little bigger so your human can join you ๐
Oh boy, we only have caves for one our house. We would need a bigger pile to make it for two.
That’s a lovely cave, and i am glad you love it.
It’s warmer in the cave, so maybe small dogs would like winter more if they had one to hang out in.
You are all crazy! I am so ready for the winter to go away. But you do look cute in your snow cave.
Our neighbors think we are odd, especially my Mom, but why not enjoy it if we have it. Mom won’t even take a vacation in the winter because she says winter is short and she doesn’t want to miss out on it.
Now that’s what I call making lemonade! You look adorably happy in your snow cave. I could not overcome my negativity about snow so I moved to Florida where the new freezing is 65 degrees.
That is the right way to face it. If you don’t like it then rather than be unhappy, go where you are happy. Mom would be really sad in Florida with no winter.
I love the snow cave Emma. You must have a LOT of snow in order to build one of those. I remember building them when I was a kid back in Syr. NY!
We have quite a bit. Mom used to dig them as a kid too. She says that is why she still loves building them with us so much.
You look so boo-tee-full in your snow cave! You and your pack are so wonderful and amazing to love winter and the snow so much. I shiver at anything less than 60 degrees!! XOXO Panda the Boston
Well, we have nice fur and Mom has the right coats and stuff. It is all in what you get used to.
We love winter here to !
Tunnels are fun, my huskies love digging out them tunnels in the snow banks at our house!
Great photo!
Happy Sunday!
((Husky hugz))
Frum our pack at love is being owned by a husky
Mom did the structural stuff, but we helped with the basic digging.
Great snow cave! Did you help dig it?
–Woofs (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats.
We did some of the digging on the floor area, but Mom helped with the rest. She is really good at it and fast too.
That snow cave is awesome! We sure would like one of those!!!!
I would send you one, but I think it might melt in the mail.
That cave looks like so much fun! Unfortunately I don’t think our dogs will get the opportunity for that here in California. ๐
If they do let me know…I think the world may be ending!
Have you built a snowdog yet? How much snow have you had so far? I’d go for a week of that kind of snowfall!
We have around 40 inches. This year it has been really cold, so the snow is too dry for building anything with it. There have only been a few warm days where we could have built a snowdog but we didn’t.
I love your snowcave, hope you have lots of supplies hidden in it:-)
The secret storeroom is loaded with tasty snacks ๐
Is it true that it is quite warm in there? Our snow has all melted and we are not sad AT ALL. But good for you to enjoy it while it lasts.
Snow does insulate, so it is warm, if the door was smaller it would be real cozy.
That is the coolest cave ever!!
Thank you, I’m loving it.
Your cave is so awesome! Petal wants one now, sadly most of our snow has melted away again. ๐ But it has been super windy and cold and cloudy here for the past couple of days, so hopefully there is more snow in store for us. ๐
Your cave looks like the perfect spot to just relax and watch the world.
It’s ideal for chilling out…no pun intended. We still have all our snow and most likely will for several more weeks. We are hoping for a fresh load soon.
We FINALLY got some snow but it isn’t enough for anything that fun… and it will be gone by this evening. We’re going out to play in it some more right now!
That is a bummer. You need some real snow. Maybe you can find it up in the mountains?
Emma! We love your snow cave, you look right at home in it. What a great photo! We love the snow too, I hope we have some on the way soon and when it gets here it’s just like yours and we can make a cave!
Hugs, Carrie (Myfie, Ellie and Millie) x
I hope you get a huge load of it so you can have lots of fun!
Cool snow cave! Did you dig it yourself?
I helped dig out the floor, but I needed Mom for the engineering so it would actually not get smashed down.
We were thinking that you made that cave when it was 20 degrees. It was in the 20’s today and it is so odd it feels warm. Well, its a PAWsome hiding place. Happy Black n White Sunday. Golden Woofs
We did make our caves on one of those hot 20 degree days. Most days it is too cold and the snow isn’t wet enough.
OMG Emma! My dogs are so jealous! Now I am going to have to build them a snow fort too.
I must say you look adorable in there though. ๐
BTW – Did you hear? 30 degrees on Wednesday!
You definitely should build one for the dogs…it only took 5-10 mins to build mine because the snow pile was already there from shoveling the deck. 30 will seem so warm, can hardly imagine, but it will also be totally messy and melty out. We are happy with 20 until spring.
You look so comfy in your winter snow cave!
I am…I think I may be an American GBGV Eskimo dog – LOL!
If I had a snowcave like that I might like winter too, I do have to agree though, don’t tell….but I actually like snowstorms too ๐
Walking in a snowstorm is awesome because it is so quiet and no one is out, barely even a car. Maybe you could rent a snow cave for the winter?
Such a cute photo!
Thank you!
Yes we are sick of it. Brown dawgs want to get out and run! We can’t even book a pheasant hunt because the snow is too deep and it is too cold.
How about wabbit hunting? We do that in the yard all year round. They are out in the snow too ๐
We are getting tired of it too just want it to end! Love your picture glad you are still enjoying it! Love Dolly
It is our favorite season, especially when it is really cold and snowy.
