It is still so cold here. They keep saying with longer days it won’t be so cold but so far it’s still below zero! What better way to stay warm in the evening than to curl up with the family in front of the fireplace! Katie and Sophie don’t like the heat, but the other three of us just soak it in until bedtime! Oh yes, the one cozy bed is first come first serve.
I amΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white!
Looks like the perfect way to spend a chilly Sunday! Makes me wish we had a fireplace. At our old apartment when we just had Snoopy we used an electric heater and he would lay in front of that lol
Looks comfy and warm. Looks like you need a few more beds too!

We have so many beds around the house, Mom didn’t really want any beds in this spot, but she wants Bailie to be there, so she caved temporarily for one…in a month or so, it will be relocated.
Beautiful picture…too sweet..but I feel sorry for you with it still so cold…brrr…
We are tired of not being able to play outside much or go for long walks.
That is just to cute! We are waiting for our next snow storm and we will be sitting right in front of the fire also! Enjoy. pie they make room for you.
Starting mid week it should start getting up to around 20, so that will be nice.
What a great picture of those three friends. Have a great sunday.
Mom says it is triple trouble resting for their next adventure.
And I bet you usually win right Emma? Looks cozy.
Actually, Bailie has that bed about 70% of the time. I just happened to get there first last night.
In front of the fire is our favorite place to spend a cold day too. Wonderful photo.
Thank you. It sure is nice and cozy.
Looks like our fireplace so often does.
With the one difference that the OSH cat always gets the cozy bed.
It the cat takes the bed us dogs either sit on the cat until it moves or we chase him out…dogs have to maintain superiority in the house!
That looks cozy! Wilhelm has always loved a good fire but Brychwyn and Huxley prefer the cold. (Not as cold as it has been around you though!)
Katie has no use for the fireplace. This morning at -18 she was prancing along and then on her back rolling in the street on the snow. She loves the cold, not the heat.
Its bitter cold here too but you look so cozy by the fire! I bet you will miss this when it warms up. Love Dolly
The other spot the three of us love to be in is the afternoon sunbeam in Mom’s office…we move there when the weather warms up and the fireplace is no longer on.
Now that’s snuggy comfy!
Exactly…even with a cat π
That’s the cutest picture!!
Thanks…the three of us do lots of stuff together.
That warm cozy spot looks so nice, stay warm!
Mom often lies on the floor with us, but she had to take the photo.
The remind the mom of hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil! We have a fireplace (gas) that hardly ever gets used! Stay warm up there in the land of my birth. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
If you were still in Duluth, you would be doing the same I’m sure! Stay cool there in FL.
We are exhausted … non stop shoveling. Yes its nice that at 5pm is not dark but still COLD. By the time we see each other at Vegas, it will be Spring π Stay Warm. Happy Black n White Sunday. Golden Woofs
You are optimistic! Last year we got snow on May 8! Hopefully it will be spring since we are driving we don’t want snow. Mom says her arms are the size of a body builder from the shoveling. Another day, another shovel full! Think warm Sunday thoughts!
Stay warm Emma! I cannot believe it is still so cold there.

We are setting some records this winter. I think we have over 50 mornings now where it has been below zero, today the high of +1 will be a record “low high” and tomorrow will also set cold records. Crazy but they say in a few days it will get warmer…but then some more snow. It is starting to get old.
Have a serene Sunday and get some big easy in today and we stay warm and cosy now.
Best wishes Molly
It will be a day of serious resting indoors for sure!
Emma, you and your fur siblings look toasty warm.. I am glad to see that you have the bed to snuggle in and stay warm. Mom & Dad hardly ever light our fireplace but we don’t get THAT cold. Have a great Sunday <3
Around here fireplaces get used a lot!
Cuuuwooooowoooooote! π
Thank you π
I love a fire. Honey seeks out cool spots. She’s with Katie and Sophie.
Funny how different we can be.
Well that looks cozy and warm. I love how they’re all lined up. While we don’t have a fireplace, I’ve seen my cats curled up in front of the heating vents.

Bailie likes to lay in front of those too!
That looks so cozy, Emma. Our crew loves to be in front of the woodstove, and they say it doesn’t get any better than that on a cold day!
I used to do that as a puppy at our house in Germany. Those give off a ton of heat!
They sure do….Cricket will lay in front of it until she’s panting away, and then she gets up and goes outside to cool off! π
that photo is the warmest and fuzziest ever! Love it! π
That cat bro Bert just has to hang out with Bailie and I all the time but that’s okay. He is a warm guy.
We would sure like to send you all some of our warm sunshine from Florida. I will try – let me know if it works!
We may see 20 above this week, paws crossed π
You all look so toasty and cozy π
We certainly are!
Aww perfect antidote to the chilly weather… I hope there’s no fighting over that bed!
Hugs, Carrie (Myfie, Ellie and Millie) x
No, the first come first serve rule is understood unless the cat tries to take it, in which case we remind him it is a dog bed.
Great way to spend a cold day! We are getting some of your cold weather here today:( It has sleeted and iced all day. Mommy should be more like your mommy and light our fireplace!
Yuck sleet is no fun! Get that fireplace cranked up asap!
Looks so warm and cozy! We don’t have a fireplace here, but I bet Sadie would love to curl up in front of one.
Best seat in the house in the winter!
You guys look so comfortable in front of that fireplace! We are getting the same horrible weather! Great picture!
Marty
Yeah, we have pretty much had it with below zero and not being able to be outside much.
Such a sweet photo! We, too, had to huddle up by the fire when our temperatures got cold. Rumor has it that those cold temps are heading back our way soon. Brr! When will our spring weather get here? Much love, The Scottie Mom.
We should be in the twenties in a few days. We are hoping! That will feel like summertime!
Dat picture are adorable!
Thank you.
That is adorable, all warm and toastie π XXXXOXXXX
Mollie and Alfie
The three of us are all about warm and toasty!
They look like super cozy beds, and I’m loving the fire!!
It is so nice and warm there. Sometimes we have to get up and move away for a bit to cool down.
You all look warm and cozy. The water at our cabin is frozen. Its the line from the pump to the cabin. The freeze line up there is 7 feet this winter! I am not sure the last time the freeze line has been that deep. We are going to need a good long warm up before we can see if there is damage.
Oh, that is not good. In the news they have been saying that there are lots of frozen water lines around the Twin Cities and the frost is eight feet down and more in places. Hasn’t been that deep in at least twenty years. I sure hope you don’t have too much damage!
Well we keep the pump off when we aren’t there and will wait until a thorough thaw before turning it on. Wow 8 feet!
Mmmmm… A fireplace! So cozy. Haven’t sat in front of one for much too long. Here in the Caribbean it’s coolness that’s the craved commodity–the dogs lie flat on their bellies, hind legs stretched out, on the tile floor during most of the day.

We will be looking for the cool spots in a couple months…we get it all here!
And I see who got that cozy bed. π
I am no dumb bunny π
You look a bit large for the bed, Emma! I agree with Katie, I prefer a cool spot away from the heat. I have to keep an eye on the cats, they sometimes get too close to the fire.
You and Katie have bigger, thicker coats. It is a gas fireplace, so no worries about anyone getting into the fire and when it gets too warm, the cat gets up and moves to cool down for a bit.
So precious!!!!
