It sure is hard to imagine spring break right now. When I look out my window all I see is snow, piles, and mounds of snow, but Lena is here at Emma’s B & B for her spring break as she is every year. On a side note, my sisters and I were at the vet for our heartworm check this week, all of us are healthy, and we were complimented on our weight and physical condition 🙂 Now let’s have a look at the fitness players at Emma’s B & B for Lena’s spring break.
Day one was still a below zero day here in Minnesota, so we had to find indoor activities for our guest. I decided to have Bailie work with Lena on the K9 FitBone while I had my afternoon nap. Lena was super wobbly. We couldn’t get her to stand alone, so we decided to start with sitting. She did pretty well with sitting on it, but we could definitely see her working her core.
After lots of fresh air and racing around it was time for a group photo and then head inside for some snacks! Even though we were not “working out”, playing in the snow really helps keep a dog fit. It is extra work racing through the deep snow and we have to stay warm which burns calories too. It is getting warmer now, so our precious snow will start melting. We have to get out and play while we can!
