Attention to all those that have to endure this ridiculous changing of the time twice a year!
Tonight before you go to bed, remember to change the time by setting your clocks AHEAD one hour (spring ahead) for summer time. Lucky dog me! Mom brought me all the clocks and watches in the house and asked me to get them set correctly. Fortunately, she gave me this handy dandy diagram showing me which way to move the hand on the clock. What a job! Mom will take the easy job and change the time on the digital appliance clocks. We have lots of old clocks and watches, but the “watchmaker” seems like an old profession in this digital age. I decided to put this photo into sepia (old looking) to see how it would look. It came out pretty well I think.
This is my first time joining in the Sepia Saturday Blog Hop sponsored by my pal Ruckus the Eskie. If you have a sepia related photo,(doesn’t just have to be photos of pets), grab the badge and join in the fun!
thanks for the reminder and you look great in Sepia!
It is kind of my color π
Ours is not due yet but it soon will be. Spring is nearly here.
Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
We used to switch at the same time but some genius decided the world should change on different dates…just as dumb as changing in the first place π
It’s a great photo and it’s great that you are the “master of time” in your house. We have time till march 30 before they steal me an hour of sleep in the morning. Have a great saturday!
Take an extra snooze for me tonight.
I am too young to understand what is happening to time tonight. I think my schedule will stay the same on MY terms! Beautiful Emma, beautiful vintage clocks, beautiful picture. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Thanks. Bailie did great with the fall back in the fall at four months old. I’m sure you won’t notice much.
Goods job helping out your mom! My mom is not at all happy about the spring ahead time change, She says she wakes up early enough as it is!
My mom doesn’t like changing the time either, but she always wakes up really early, so this way it won’t be so early anymore.
Great idea to put the “old fashioned” clocks in Sepia. Now stop blogging and get busy changing those clocks for your Mom. π
Geez, what’s the rush? I have until tonight π
This was a perfect photo for sepia! It’s going to take you a while to change all those clocks and watches, Emma. You’ll be missing that extra hour of sleep tonite!
It just worked out I guess. I look good as an old fashioned dog!
Jan can NOT see this post. She’ll expect us to set all her clocks too and we’re planning an extra nap. We like your photo in sepia.
Sometimes us dogs have to do all the hard work. It is not fair!
We can’t wait for The time change, our internal time clock stays the same year long and we are tired of Dad getting home an hour or later for out dinner. Finally he will get out dinner on time again.
Well then, finally found some friend that like the change. We adjust our inner clocks in about two days, so we could just stay on this time forever.
Thanks Emma – will do. Daylight savings time is Leo’s fav season. He gets to stay outside later on the weekends…
My sister and I like to be out in the yard later too when it is light out but we also like being out in the dark which Mom does not like. If it is dark she watches us like a hawk.
I am all confused. I have to go from London time to New York time and then change the clock again. I won’t know where I am except that I get to see my Katie tonight. You look like you have a big job ahead of you Emma, but I know you are yo to the task. Great picture.
It is good for your jetlag as you have one less hour to adjust to! Must have been a real whirlwind trip if you are coming back already!
Springing forward is always so hard for me, I never want to get out of bed! But, it will be lighter longer and that’s always a good thing!
We are a morning family, so we prefer the light in the morning. Actually, we prefer never changing the clocks, but it is what it is.
Welcome to your first sepia Saturday!
Its a great hop! We love it!
Our clocks change to right to. *sigh* crazy time changes!!!
Have a great weekend!!!
α¦ husky hugzΒ α¦Β frum our pack atΒ Love is being owned by a husky!
Sleep fast tonight π
Emma, I’m so glad that you are joining in on Sepia Saturday. You look beautiful and very old-timey. It seems you have too much time on your paws! My mom thinks it’s funny we both did spring forward reminders. I explained it’s a hound thing and that you’re my sweetie. Your Basset, Bentley
I sure do have a lot of time on my paws today! Good one! Sleep fast tonight to make up for that missing hour. I will send Bailie out to track it down in the morning, hope she can find it but I don’t have much hope. Emma
Our mom said we have to go to bed early tonight because of the time change. If it means more walks after work… we’re in! Thanks for the reminder Emma
We are a morning family, so we like the early morning light, but it will happen in time. Don’t know why we need to change in the first place. Enjoy your walks!
Our clock in Denmark changes at march 28. So we can train to change the clock until then. Have a great day.
It is hard work…I’m working like a dog on the project!
Maybe you should train an apprentice to help you with all those clocks!
Don’t know if I can trust my little sister to do it yet, she is still a puppy.
We sure wish the silly humans would leave Father Time alone and let Mother Nature remain large and in charge!
Humans need to ban together and have government get rid of the foolishness like they did in AZ!
How nice of you to offer your clock changing services to your mom! Let’s hope this chilly weather springs forward to summer-like weather, too. Much love, The Scottie Mom.
We are having a heatwave and the snow is melting. 40’s for the next few days, feels like the middle of summer out there!
I saw this first on facebook and just love it. You did such a great job coming up with today’s picture.
Thank you! Sometimes things just work π
Ugh–we know all to well about what my Dad calls ‘daylight wasting time’. Looks like you have your job cut out for you, Emma! I’m sure you’ll do a magnificent job.
I should set them back an hour just to get back at Mom for giving me this task π but I won’t because I am a good dog.
Yes! Thank you for the reminder! I am sad to lose an hour but a bit excited to be able to see more sunlight. Looking good in the sepia tone my friend. Happy Sepia Saturday! Thanks for sharing.
Being a morning family, we prefer the light early, but that will happen on its own soon.
These time changes confuse me so much these days because all the clocks do it themselves! But then I wonder to myself which ones I need to change and which ones do it automatically. So confusing!
Many clocks do change themselves but lots of the old ones don’t or ones with batteries often don’t. We only have a few that actually do it on their own.
OMD, love dat photo!
Thank you!
Love the photo! I hate daylight savings. If some people are obsessed with going to bed early and getting up early they can do that – everyone else shouldn’t have to follow. I vote for winter-time (clock-wise, lol) around the year!
I will take either time, but keep it all year please! This change stuff had a purpose ages ago, but no more.
Goodness you do have a lot of clocks to turn back which makes a great photo! I think most of ours are digital so they do it themselves. Which is good because mom can never fix the clock in the car. Love Dolly
We have a lot of appliance digital clocks that Mom is in charge of. Changing time is just a real pain in the paw!
Love that photo Emma. Our clocks have already changed. We think it’s silly putting them forward, then putting them back xxxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
It is totally stupid and right now, I really dislike it as morning is sooo very early!
Love your picture Emma! Mommy makes daddy change all of our clocks so one less job for us to do! Hope you got them all changed!
You are lucky you don’t have to do it. It is a big job!
Good job Emma. I have to admit, I like the things that update themselves.
We do too, but we don’t want to toss out all the old clocks.
