I have a few loose ends to tie up again which makes this the perfect post for the Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog! Join up and share in the fun, or just visit a few new blogs!
First of all, when cousin Lena was visiting I entered a contest over at Dogs n Pawz for an Unbreakoball.Β Ball crazy lab cousin Lena is quite destructive when it comes to toys, giving me the idea to win this ball for her. I wasn’t a winner the first week and then she went home, but I did win their second week contest and the ball arrived two days ago. I do believe it might just be indestructible as it is really sturdy and it is made in the USA which we love at our house!
Mom took the ball outside first to see how that worked. We still have plenty of snow to play with it in. Who is ready for some Unbreakoball soccer?
Bailie and I both were studying it. It seems like snow may be a bad idea with this ball as the holes allow it to fill up with snow.
Bailie was passing the ball around but it started getting really buried in the snow, not good. It took her a while, but she did also figure out how to get her teeth in the holes and pick the ball up.
Mom brought the ball back in the house, shook out the snow and let Bailie have a try at it on the carpet. I think it will be more fun outside when the snow is gone. We are going to keep it at our house and cousin Lena can play with it when she visits us. Thank you Dogs n Pawz and Unbreakoball, this is one cool new toy!
Even though it is still cold and white outside, Mom decided to order some new springy collars for us girls. You may recall she has a collar addiction. We have over fifty collars between the three of us in our fashion arsenal which I posted about a while back. Katie and I both wear the same size collar and Bailie is almost big enough to wear them now too. Sure Katie has the bigger neck, but we adjust them to fit our own necks. Some collars we don’t share as the color or style suits one dog better than another. Our very favorite collar place to order from is Up Country. Mom started ordering from them about fifteen years ago when she was living in Germany. They are also a made in the USA company on the East Coast.Β We love their fun and/or fancy prints and styles. Their collars are super durable and they go right in the washer no problem. Mom had a hard time just ordering two new ones as she saw many more she liked but we do need to save some money for things like dog food! These new ones will look good on all three of us we think, and they are super spring like. Have you ever tried Up Country products?
I have recently receive two blogging awards which I have added to my awards page. If you aren’t familiar with these blogs, stop by and check them out!
Thank you to DogDaz for the Field of Flowers Award. This was perfectly timed with the pretty flowers to cheer us up as we sit here in cold and snow!
Thank you to my friend Spencer the Goldendoodle for the Sunshine Award. Spencer sure knows the value of sunshine as he is a fellow Minnesota dog!
That is a wrap for today my friends! Time to go put on one of my new collars and play with Bailie and my Unbreakoball!
That ball looks terrific I need one π Those collars are beautiful. Big congrats on the lovely awards xxxxxxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
It is super heavy duty, almost too much for us, but it is fun to roll around.
We love Up Country. I have ordered their collars with beige backing for our white dogs. I believe it was only $5.00 more and looked better on them than the black webbing. You are right about the durability. Throw them right in the wash and line dry. We can’t wear them out!
I did not know that was an option. Many of our collars have colored backing but for my GBGV dogs I am happy with black as they are total dirt magnets and the black looks clean longer! I just wish I lived near their headquarters as I would work for them in a heartbeat, love their stuff! Thanks for stopping by!
As far as the black vs beige webbing on the collars – pbgv’s are also dirt magnets and lower to the ground than GBGV’s! Surprisingly, the nylon webbing doesn’t really get that dirty. But, being able to throw them in the wash along with the leashes and couplers is a bonus!
Ours do get in the wash every two weeks or so and we also find that ribbon collars are the best for dirt magnets, they also don’t “grab” loose fur like cloth does which is an issue with Katie.
Thanks so much for participating in the hop! I like that ball. It looks fairly durable and not too small for larger dogs. I also like those collars. They are very fashionable. I went to the site and saw some other thing like treat boxes that are cute too. Congrats on your awards. Very well deserved.
Up Country has so many great things. Mom shops for days before she can narrow down her list and actually buy a few things! That ball is really durable, don’t see any dog breaking it. Bailie did figure out how to carry it, but it is kind of heavy for her.
Looks like a really fun ball and love those new collars! Congrats on your awards!
Thank you. Your dogs might really like that ball and it is really indestructible!
The ball looks fun and the collars are fabulous. Congratulations and well done on your awards. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
We love the collars…we like to look fashionable you know.
congratulations to your awards! Your mom bought very nice new collars, specially the green one is best for spring! Do you think the unbreakoball is strong enough for a guy like me? Have a super thursday and I hope for sunny spring days when you can wear your beautiful new collars!
Seriously, this ball is indestructible. It is almost too much for us since it is a bit heavy too. It is some kind of super hard plastic. You can pick it up and carry it with your teeth, the only thing you can’t do is catch it or you would smash your face. I would recommend it to any ball loving dog that usually destroys balls.
Thanks Emma, it’s on my wishlist, hope it isn’t to heavy for the easter bunny :o)
We will nab the Easter bunny and bring it to you personally π
Congrats on the awards – always well deserved I say. Love the collars too. Our mom does not have a collar obsession – we wear the same old ratty ones all the time. I think we’re going to have to have a conversation about that…
Maybe she spends that money on snacks for you instead. We appreciate nice collars but enjoy snacks more π Collars are something Mom just can’t stop buying, but at least we think she has good taste! Maybe if she sees us with cute collars at BlogPaws she will be motivated to order.
Emma, could you have found your “Wilson?”
Nope. I’m not much into toys and balls. If they are new I have fun for a little bit and that is it. Bailie will play with toys and sometimes Katie too π
Love the collars. Mom is on the hunt for something new and cute for Torrey. Have to check them out.
They have so many in all colors, styles and sizes. Mom has never had to toss any out even though we wear them all the time and wash them. Really fun stuff!
wow! Congrats on your awards!!! And also congrats on winning that unbreakoball! I have thought about getting one for my huskies as they are suppose to be very durable!!
thanks for sharing!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
If your dog breaks one, I think the dog will also have a broken jaw. They are really tough!
Cute collars! Very spring! One even matches the new ball. It’s hard to get into the spring spirit when it’s snowing out here, but sometimes you just have to force it through, I think.
Good call! Didn’t even pick up on the match and we are really into things matching π
I must have missed that day, I had no idea you guys were so styling, though what did I expect? I actually went to the UpCountry headquarters when I was on the road with Eko – you guys would be in heaven. They also donate lots of their gear to shelters which is really cool.
Oh man, Mom is now crying and depressed. She so would love to go there or work there! They are the most awesome collars and stuff around in our book! Did not know about them donating to shelters which makes them even better!
Love the ball looks like I could have a blast with that! And I love your collars too, but the Lady thinks I need something less girlie. Geez. Love Dolly
They have lots of those too. Mom likes “girly” on us π
Your collars are beautiful! I’ve been thinking about spring collars lately too, and I think I’m going to have to check out Up Country. We used to just have one or two collars for each dog, but our collection has started growing now too.
Do you use the Rubit dog tag clips? They make changing collars so much easier. We tried one and now plan to get one for all of the dogs.
No, we thought about the tag clips but some have said they break, so we don’t have those. Mom is pretty quick at changing them these days!
Do you think the ball could stand up to me? I am a real “wrecking ball!” I just got a new collar. It is red and yellow with the mom’s phone numbers on it! I do not think she trusts me! Oh, well, I do know I melt her heart. π XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
That ball would roll you over. Bailie is having some trouble with it since it is rock hard and kind of heavy but she likes it.
Great toy. Stands out very well in the snow π
Well, yes, until it is full of snow and then buried π
oops! time to get the shovel out! ;P or you guys can dig it out again π
We better get the shovel π
Super cute collars!!!!
Thanks, we love that company!
Awesome, awesome post Emma and congratulations on the awards and winning the Un-break-o-ball. I was super excited about that ball when I promoted it the Advent Calendar.
Those collars look beautiful and like you I’m a made in the USA kind of gal. Thanks for highlighting this new-to-me company. And many thanks for joining the blog hop!!
I join when I have something that fits, thanks for hosting. That unbreakoball is seriously a tough ball!
It looks like that ball is just asking for some tiny treats to put inside. π
BTW, I took a test today that turned up GBGV as a potentially good match for our house. Shhh, don’t tell Honey. I don’t want her to get jealous when I come by to read your stories.
LOL! Let me know if you would like to find one, being one myself “I know people” π Bailie thought it was a treat ball at first and was sad it wasn’t but got over it. Way too many holes to be an effective treat ball!
50 collars?! Wow, that makes me feel better about my collar addiction. I love cute collars too and since I have a “manly” dog, this is one way I can dress him up to look cute.
Mom should start a collar addicts anonymous group π We will buy the girly ones and you can buy the manly ones!
Hey Emma! We won the unbreakoball too! My mom got me the big one because I loved my old bassetball to death. Pierre hasn’t even been able to kill this tough toy! We love it<3 She has never ordered a collar for me but maybe she will now that she has seen your beautiful new ones. I have a lot of extra skin around my neck so collars usually irritate me. You look beautiufl in yours. Your Basset, Bentley
That ball is really hard. We look forward to sharing it with cousin Lena next time she visits us. I love nice collars, we have quite an assortment too. Time to go watch it snow some more…grrr…
Those collars are gorgeous!
Thank you. They have such nice ones!
LOVE the new collars! And you can’t beat an unbreakable toy!!!
That is one super tough ball for sure! We love collars, can never have too many!
Rita has an unbreakoball and she goes NUTS over it. She makes these weird snorty pig noises while she chases it around the house. (And, because of that… we only get it out on rare occasions!)
I think it will be great outside if the snow ever goes away!
I have heard of the unbreakoball, but we haven’t tried it yet. Looks like tons of fun!
It is a super sturdy ball, would probably work for an elephant π
You sure look mighty fine in those fancy collars and that ball is sure nice too. Congrats on he nice awards!!!
We love collars!
Love those collars and I’m so glad you girls like the Unbreakoball! It looks like a really durable toy! Glad to know it is! Congratulations on the awards!
It is so durable, we never imagined it would be as tough as it is, thank you!
Congrats on your two awards! You are very deserving!!! π
Can’t wait until it gets warm enough to play outside everyday with out windshields, hats, or rain coats!!! π
Thank you. This weekend is looking good for weather for a change!
That ball looks like fun! Those collars are so super cute too. They look great on you ladies. That’s amazing that you have such a large wardrobe!
Mom seriously needs a collars anonymous meeting! We don’t mind looking nice, though.
Congrats on thw awards and winning the ball. Looks like they are having fun with it, beautiful collars.
Thanks. We just started wearing our spring look today since it is supposed to start being spring out. Paws crossed.
Pawsome products, Emma, and congratulations on the awards! Now I want to try one of those balls to see if it’s really unbreakable. π
It is seriously so durable, I can’t imagine any dog breaking it without breaking their own jaw first.
