We aren’t real big tennis ball fans at our house. I have no use for them. Katie steals them from other dogs to create a game of chase. Bailie sometimes plays with them but is no retriever. When cousin Lena was here for spring break, she did not let Bailie have any of the tennis balls. Somehow, Bailie managed to get this one tennis ball, which she sat down and guarded for quite some time. Oddly, in human and dog nature, not being able to have something makes us want it all the more.
I amΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white!
What a beautiful picture. Must frame that one. Do you have any space in your house for “more “beautiful pictures of the dogs?
All we have are photos of us dogs all over. We need to get to the photographer to get some of all three of us with Mom. We don’t have any photos of Bailie on the walls yet. We want to get some to kind of match the ones we had done a year and a half ago.
What beautiful dogs you have! I look forward to reading more posts and joining in the fun!
Jessica, Charlie Boy, Roman, Brooke, Kitty-Aslan and Snarfy xxxx
Thank you for coming by and visiting π Have a blessed Sunday!
What a beautiful dog you have**
Thank you.
Love these black and white pics with just a hint of colour.
We hope you have a serene Sunday and go get yourself some big easy today.
Best wishes Molly
Thank you. It was my photographer/photo editors first attempt. We think they are neat too.
Cute photo, looks like ball fun today on the blog hop. Have a great Sunday.
Funny how by coincidence a theme is out there some days!
Next step you’ll be retrieving π Happy Black n White Sunday. Golden Woofs
Mom tries to get her to retrieve. She is the best retriever we have but that isn’t saying much. Once or twice maybe and then interest is lost. We have more luck with her and the wubba in the house. The wubba is sometimes retrieved up to five or six times!
Like a toddler, a dog rule is, if you have it I want it. π
–Woofs (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats
Which is why humans say we never advance mentally past the age of five or so human years π That is okay, kids have more fun anyway!
Love the tennis ball accent in the black and white photo.
Thank you. It was our first attempt at doing it and it worked pretty well.
Bailie, you are a beautiful ray of sunshine in your home. Have a super Sunday with Emma and Katie….oh, and your mom. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Oh I am having fun. Mom taught me how to use the doggy doorbell to come in. I am not ringing it non stop. Lots of fun but she doesn’t seem pleased.
That’s so true…jealousy is a pretty strong emotion! Great picture of you Bailie.
Lena is an only pet, so sharing is real tough for her to figure out.
Cute photo! We aren’t huge tennis ball fans either. Torrey as all about the frisbee.
We have a frisbee too, but none of us are interested. We prefer live toys like squirrels and bunnies.
That is such a great photo!
Thank you.
It made a beautiful picture! I’m not allowed to have them because I tear them up! Love Dolly
Many dogs do, but we just don’t have much interest in them.
Oh, I’d have stolen that in a heartbeat, Emma!
Have you been barking with our cousin Lena? Lena was so mean not letting poor Bailie have a ball. Take pity on the puppy and let her have it, she will get bored soon, I am sure of it. Happy Sunday!
The grass is always greener on the other side of the river. Have a great day.
Happy Sunday to you!
My dogs LOVE chewing on tennis balls!
α¦ husky hugzΒ α¦Β frum our pack atΒ Love is being owned by a husky!
We just leave them lying around unless some guest dog wants them, then we try to get them back. π
Allie: Yes, Faraday practices this religiously. Wherever I’m sunning myself, THAT’s the spot he wants!!! Beautiful photo!
Thank you…but I bet you are guarding a catnip mouse or something like that?
Tennis balls are a big hit here. They are Dina’s second favourite toy after her Frisbee
We just aren’t into that much…would rather just sniff around for critters.
What???!! You don’t like tennis balls? Come closer and let me check your head for a temperature. Barks and licks and love, Dakota
I know, three dogs and no one wants a tennis ball, how crazy is that?
If Lena was enjoying the balls, then there must be something fun about them. Bailie is just guarding one until she figures out the appeal. You did great bringing out the yellow. It really adds to the already beautiful photo! : )
Thanks, my photo lady did it for me, I’m all paws with photo editing! Bailie will fetch a ball once or twice, but that is about it. We arent’ into games with tossing and retrieving. Mom tries but no go.
Shiner likes them, but she’s not crazy about them. She does enjoy shredding them though π
Lots of dogs do chew the to death, Lena would if we let her.
So, so true, Emma. We don’t have tennis balls here because Brychwyn thinks they are a major food group but when he finds one at the park or elsewhere it is treasured (and surprisingly not devoured.)
A food group, yikes! Here they are more like decorations in the house or on the lawn that Mom needs to NOT mow over.
I love the splash of color photos and that is also a wonderful photo of Bailie….she looks calm, cool, and serious….not her typical look I don’t think!
It is typical of you dogs to want something just so the others can’t have it! lol
We have that struggle daily around here with beds, antlers, you name it. No matter how many there are we only want the one that is in use.
Isn’t that the truth??? I just love this. Good for you Bailie.
Thanks! Bailie tries to fit in and also to swipe coveted items π
We love tennis balls but mommy doesn’t let us have them too often cos we like to eat them!
That is not good, they have bones and antlers for chewing, you know π
Love the lighting and the color accent! Sadie doesn’t really like tennis balls either. She’ll chase it the first time I throw it, but once she catches it she drops it like she’s disappointed she wasted her effort chasing such a boring toy.
At our house tennis balls are more decorative than anything.
Love da picture!
Thank you!
I love tennis balls, I have to de-fuzz them though BOL xxoxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Ours get defuzzed naturally from sitting out in the elements in the yard being ignored π
You catch on quickly Bailie!
Mom often tells Bailie that she is too smart for her own good whatever that means.
Harley has been known to play with a tennis ball or two in his lifetime. Wilson is really too big for him to maneuver so he gravitates to the tennis ball when he’s feeling frisky!
Us girls don’t see the attraction to playing with tennis balls. Katie used to play lots of soccer, but now she doesn’t do much of that.
My dreams are filled with tennis balls.
Oh boy…one one those types π Mine are filled with wabbits and squirrels!
great minds think alike!! that’s why π
