My little sister Bailie is really in a testing, naughty dog, teenager phase. You may know, we have a no dogs on the furniture rule at our house. Katie and I never have tried to go on the furniture, but naughty Bailie is jumping on the furniture all the time these days and it is making Mom crazy! In this photo, Bailie stole the cat cozy and took it into the big chair with her. As you can see, once again she shows no remorse for her crime. This naughty puppy has no conscience, and with her cute face, Mom has a lot of trouble disciplining her without laughing! We are all hoping she gets this testing phase over with soon so she can change back from the naughty puppy to the sweet, good puppy she used to be.
I amΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white!
Ah, the puppy teenage years. She’ll get through them, I’m sure, with lots of laughs and a minimum amount of destruction I hope.

I know Bailie will make it through…will Mom survive, that is what I worry about!
Oh boy, that cute face can sure make discipline difficult! Luke is into stealing various beds and a throw rug that Conrad likes to lay on. These puppies can be SO persistent. I’m not seeing a lot of hope for Luke then yet, since Bailie is a few months older than him!
Bailie was really a good little pup, but around 9 months the extreme naughtiness and testing phase started.
Something to look forward to then! LOL. Luke has days where he is a total brat, and other days when he’s a total angel!
Woof woof…. I do the same. And we have a leather couch. Drives peeps crazy. π

Oh dear. We have so many great places to hang out, I don’t know why she has to go on the furniture. Doesn’t she see that she is the only dog doing it?
She is cute as heck! Have a great Sunday.
That is the biggest problem Mom has and also what saves Bailie’s furry behind!
That is teenagers for you.
Have a serene Sunday and let us all have some of that big easy today.
Best wishes Molly
She is really in the middle of that teenage thing…yikes!
uh ohβ¦ it’s that movie star attitude again! What a faceβ¦ so very cute!
She is just a rotten teenager right now. I think she is even embarrassed to hang around with her family when we are out. It will pass.
She is too cute! We get on the couch too! Mommy used to try to keep us off but we won and now the couch is our favorite place!
Furniture has never been an issue with Mom’s dogs. Bailie is the first one that is determined to change the policy, but she doesn’t know how stubborn Mom can be.
Bailie, you are so funny and adorable! I am allowed on the furniture, so I see no problem with Bailie’s teenage issue. That is just my un-humble opinion, but I guess house rules are house rules. π The mom says “gotta love em!” I still do lots of bad stuff…but I am a puppy, and I am going to use that excuse as long as I can stretch it! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV puppy
Mom doesn’t want us jumping as it can be bad for our backs and joints, and also she prefers to sit on the floor with us and keep the fur off the furniture, but Bailie has other ideas right now. We are just waiting for the phase to pass. You enjoy your puppy time π
Emma, your mom must be YOUNG! My mom has a hard time getting up off the floor – she ain’t no spring chicken. If we need to love on her (which is often) we have to get to her level. Panda even gets in her computer chair with her. We all have different house rules which is cool. Sparkle the PBGV
Mom is really old, much older than even my older sister Katie, but she is pretty fit and likes lying on the floor with us.
I don’t think I could discipline that face either…be careful though Bailie mom won’t let you come to BlogPaws!
Bailie has to go to BlogPaws, who could we ever find to puppysit her?
Oh man your mom has got it ruff! I can’t remember how old Bailey is but the Lady says there was definitely a terrible two year with me! Love Dolly
Bailey is almost ten months. This appears to be a rebellious teenage phase right now.
How could you ever get mad at that face. I bet Bailie wins and they will all be on the furniture soon.
Mom is pretty stubborn, I doubt Bailie will win the war, but she is sure trying. Katie and I are happy with our beds and other places we hang out.
Oh no…the teenage phase. Torrey was a testing teenager too. Thankfully, they do grow up.
We just try to see the humor in it all and hope the phase passes quickly.
Those teenage years will drive any sane parent crazy, tis true. But even in her naughtiness, Little Miss Bailie is a doll!
We know we will laugh about it down the road, so we aren’t letting it upset us…just dealing with it as best as we can.
Oh! The naughty word is always being said in our house! Happy b&w Sunday!!
One of the best things about Bailie is I’m off the hook these days…it used to be Emma this, Emma that, now that has been changed to Bailie this, Bailie that!
… and Bailie is not even 2 … Just have to be very patient, lots of training. Have a wonderful Sunday. Golden Woofs
We are patient, sometimes it is hard but we will all get through it. She is much crazier than I was at her age but every pup is different!
I kind of like having my doggies next to me in the sofa, but it makes for a substantial amount of hair of everything, and if you have a job where you encounter actual people – like your mom does – I can absolutely see why the furniture would be off limits.
Silly Bailey, she’s so cute though, it would be hard to tell her no. =)
One reason is the fur, but Bailie and I don’t really shed. The reason for us is she doesn’t want us jumping as it is hard on the joints and our long backs. She lifts all of us in and out of the car too so we don’t jump and injure ourselves. We don’t mind not going on the furniture and she actually sits on the floor with us a lot.
She does not even look guilty he he.
Heavens no, she sees nothing wrong with what she is doing π
Aww but look at that face!!! haha!!! Koda is going through a very naughty teenage phase as well! Frustrating!!! Happy Weekend π
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It is a trying time, but we all know it will end at some point and the good puppy will return.
Oh those teenage years are trying on a parent! At least she brought something up on the couch to lay on and protect the material. I know that adorable face makes being stern very difficult.
She is always running around with that cat cozy. Funny thing is that I used to drag it around when I was a puppy too, so it has gone through a lot. The cats still lay in it if it is in a decent spot regardless of the dog smell.
LOL sounds like the third child syndrome to me!
That could be, Mom has had thoughts of that too!
Happened around here. π
All we have to say is: don’t let her around Faraday. he’ll corrupt her PURRmanently! MOL!
My cat bro Bert is an instigator himself π
Uh uh… I couldn’t discipline that face without giggling either! Gorgeous little terror!
Hugs, Carrie (Myfie, Ellie and Millie) x
She is a true terror but we love her!
Well, now that one I can’t relate to because Cody and Dakota are allowed on the furniture, that’s why the word begins with “fur” π
We hear that a lot but Mom doesn’t want us jumping, which is the main reason since we don’t really shed.
That looks like a pretty innocent face to me!
She feels immune to rules these days.
What are you gonna do? You just gotta love her. π
We are patient and know she will learn, but right now she is really in a testing phase!
Being cute like dat can help ya get away wif murder!
I think she has that figured out π
LOL! Oh Bailie. I know that teenager phase all too well! Sometimes I feel like Petal still goes through that phase even now at 4 years old. Good thing they’re so cute, right? π
Cuteness saves her furry little behind quite often! My sister Katie was in that phase for a couple years. Mom said I was never like that, and she is quite happy about that.
Looks like she knows how to use the ‘puppy eyes’ to full advantage!
Believe me, she has all the moves and looks down!
You gotta give her some credit, she did bring the bed with her!!!
Just to chew on but that is better than the seat cushions π
BOL! Puppies are always testing boundaries. Such a cute photo π
She is really testing these days but that cute mug saves her furry behind!
Oh Bailie! You remind me of Delilah. We have a couch for Sampson and Delilah, one day our trainer brought them home for us and Delilah went in and climbed on the human couch. Thankfully our trainer knew better, but Delilah tried none-the-less. I suspect Mom will struggle trying not to laugh quite often. I know I do.
Bailie is pretty good at getting out of messes with her cutey face or offering hugs. We think she is slowly starting to understand furniture is not for dogs.
No dogs on the furniture is hard! We tried aluminium foil on the couch and those prickly cat things on the couch and guess what… Donna tried to eat the foil and push the prickly things off the sofa anyway π
I don’t want to jinx it, but we think Bailie may be getting the message after getting in trouble so many times it might be sinking in.
