We absolutely loved the Westin Lake Las Vegas. It was a beautiful resort with such friendly staff, but it also had something odd going on. All over the place, there were these giant turtles spouting water into pools. I wonder what the meaning of that is? Whatever it is, it was very relaxing hearing the water when I sat next to one of those turtles. Since Sunday is a day to relax I found this photo appropriate.
I am joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white!

Turtles are cool, they take their time! We’d love to have a turtle…
I am actually scared of real ones. I bark at them.

Hmm, I’ve heard of snapping turtles, but not spitting turtles. Enjoy your Sunday Emma.
I much prefer posing with a spitting turtle, snappers are too dangerous!

We love turtles. It is nice that you got to sit next to one. But why is water sprouting out of its mouth?
They are all over the hotel in the fountains, it is just spouting water into the fountain poo.

That’s one big turtle.
Mom says it is like ones she has seen when she was scuba diving.
Those turtles were pretty cute.
It is an interesting idea they had there.
I love that big turtle fountain Emma!
You kitties would love to drink the fountain water.

I like that turtle! I, um, would be playing in the water he is spouting!! I like to play in the sprinklers here at home. Weeeeeee, it’s so much fun! XOXI Sparkle the PBGV
When I was real young, I used to attack the sprinklers too.

We like the turtle too. Looks a lovely place.
Have a serene Sunday and let us all enjoy some big easy today.
Best wishes Molly
I’m going to be out sunning my fur today in the gorgeous weather.
Love the turtle. You look like a super model next to it!

The way she’s sitting there so still next to that fountain, it almost looks like she’s about to spit water, too. BOL.

Too bad I don’t have the water sound in the photo as it is relaxing too
It’s perfect to hear wather while relaxing, Emma. I will look if that Hell-mut guy can spit water too. Have a wonderful sunny Sunday!
watHer? my typist is drunken lol
I was able to figure out what you meant 😉
Spitting turtles are kind of weird but relaxing since they never move!
Spitting turtles….what’ll they think of next?
Luckily it wasn’t peeing dogs or something.

That does look relaxing, Emma, perfect for a Sunday. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a turtle spitting water though!
Well, that hotel has tons of them doing it. Quite interesting.
Great picture, its can be a little scary to take a picture like that and change it to black and white but it turned out great. At least the turtle isn’t spitting out of Emma like it is me in my pictures! Love Dolly
Mom was actually worried about that happening, so we were careful when shooting this one!
M. K. Clinton says
Those turtle were cool. It was definitely a switch from the usual dolphins and fish spewing water. Have a great Sunday!
Next time it should be dogs at a pet conference. Maybe I could learn to spew water?
Tenacious Little Terrier says
That turtle is as big as you are!
Bigger, actually, and definitely more poundage!
Love the photo. Sniff and wags from Laika and Vaks.

well, and since Sundays are slo-w-w-w, and so are turtles…apropos, no?
Very true and our Sunday was slow.
As a Westin member, we love their resorts. Did Emma tried to drink the water? Happy Black n White Sunday. Golden Woofs
It was a wonderful resort. Wish we had had more time to enjoy it without being so busy! I did not try to drink the water, but Mom never gave me the chance.

You are quite stunning and we are very pleased to meet you. Meowm met you at Blogpaws, and was delighted as she had never met a woofie of your breed in person before. She only wishes she had been able to spend more time with you!
It was so great to meet so many friends, but time was tight. So much to do, people and pets to meet, and so little time 🙂

Looks like a cool place to stay! That is where mommy and hu sis were suppose to stay when they were going to Vegas last December and didn’t get to go cause hu sis got sick. What a bummer!!!
If they rebook, they will love it there. Absolutely gorgeous!
Very interesting. Were you afraid of the turtles, at first? Petal would’ve been at first. 😉 Looks like a great place to relax!
No, I’m not afraid of things much. My big guard dog sister Katie is afraid of things like lawn ornaments and stuff, but I am tough.
tons of turtles everywhere! you look great and we enjoyed meeting you too!!
It was fun and so great to meet so many friends. What a fun time!
Wez howling at Bailie stretched out on 3 chairs. Love the turtle photo Em 🙂 xxoxxx

I like sitting by fountains and listening to the water. It’s relaxing. I’d probably like those turtles.
It was relaxing and peaceful
Aren’t you going to spew water like that turtle? 😛
Heavens no! I am a proper lady dog 😉
