My sisters and I all live in the same family and have since we were puppies, but we each have our own personalities. Just as personalities can make a difference in a photo, so can the perspective of the photographer.
Look at me! Mom was down on the grass and had the camera at my eye level. She says this is her favorite way to snap a shot of my adorable mug. I am so happy just hanging out on the grass on a beautiful May evening.
Bailie, on the other paw, seems to think she has the biggest personality of all three of us. Bailie was just standing in the yard, so Mom got down in the grass and shot this photo looking up at her. Does it remind you of anything…hint, King Kong? She looks huge and about as tall as the roof on the house next door. It is a great photo, but the perspective from below her turns Bailie into a larger than life pup!
Katie is our photo problem child. She doesn’t like the camera and tries her best either to not look or to look like she is being tortured. For those reasons, this shot of Katie laughing is really amazing! Her head looks like that of a big polar bear! She really enjoys just sitting out in the yard for a few hours in the evening and watching whatever is going on around her.
The evenings this past week have been so beautiful! Mom has been spending tons of time with us out enjoying the weather, and often has had her camera along. It is fun for her to just play around with the camera settings and angles to see what kind of shots she can get of us “girls”. Hope you enjoyed these three.
I amΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white
Mom likes your photos very much. She thinks that Bailie looks like she is up to something fun LOL. Sniff from Laika and Vaks.
Thank you! Bailie is always on the look out for trouble to get into π
Beautiful photos, beautiful personalities π
Thank you.
Wonderful photos … and yes, getting at “eye level” with them is a terrific perspective!
It is good when my photographer Mom has time to play around as she needs practice – LOL!
Your Mom takes fantastix photo’s of you beautiful girls. Have a super Sunday xxoxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Thank you. We are always working on posing and she is working on using her camera better.
Nice shots! I’ve got one that loves the camera, and one that really prefers NOT to look at the lens.
Katie is the one that normally refuses to look at the camera. Bailie and I love photos.
Y’all really got personality!!! Those pop-up ads are horrible.
Which pop up ads? I don’t want to have any of those, can you tell me what they are and I can try to get rid of them.
Those are wonderful photos! One thing I love about having multiple dogs is seeing all of their individual personalities. These photos really show off yours….and it is great to see Katie smiling!
Katie really loves to just hang out in the yard in the evening. It is always fun to see her smiling.
Beautiful pictures. Keep playing!
No worries, we will keep on.
I have one husky which is almost impossible to get a good pic of her. I feel your pain.
There is a reason why Mom started the blog for me and not for Katie! Luckily Bailie loves the camera as much as I do.
Great photos of your three beautiful girls. I especially like Katie’s too – great to see her enjoying things…she must not have known you had the camera pointed her way π Have a great Sunday.
She is just really happy hanging out in the yard enjoying the cool grass and the breeze.
Beautiful photos of each girl. I have been getting down a lot too to get nice photos. Have a great day. Gambler didn’t do to well at his test yesterday :(. Next time.
Sorry about Gambler. We totally understand since it happened with Bailie. She is going to try again on July 2, so we shall see. If she misses again, I don’t know what Mom will do!
Love these!
Thank you.
You guys all look great, but Katie looks so content and happy in the shade.
She always sits in the “shade”, but we laugh as it is still a pretty young tree and the shade area is so small but she find it.
your mom made fabulous photos! Katie really looks like a polar bear, black&white can make such a huge difference too. But one thing remains constand: you all are beautiful :o)
Thank you. Mom says everyone called Katie a polar bear cub when she was a puppy.
Fabulous shots of all three of you. Have a serene Sunday and let us all partake of some big easy today.
Best wishes Molly
Today is a real wet and rainy day, so great for napping π
it is fun trying to capture each pups personalities π
It is, and it is the trick of photography. Something to always be working on.
Love the photos of you three! You all look great hanging out on the grass.
It could only be better with you and Mr. N π
Bailie does look huge! Haha. I love what different angles and perspectives can do with a photo. Love these shots! You girls are so gorgeous.
Thanks! That Bailie one we love too. Crazy how cameras work!
Three lovely photos, and I also feel that perspective changes everything. For the most part, my dogs do not seem to like being photographed either.
My mom doesn’t like her photo taken, so she understands, but she is happy two of us love the camera.
They look big on photos but seeing them they are really small/medium dog. Glad to see Katie and her SMILE. Have a wonderful Sunday. Golden Woofs
Bailie and I are about your size, just shorter. I weigh 38 pounds. Katie is the big dog in the family. She has been enjoying the yard a lot lately.
Love the pictures and the different personalities! I see that Emma and Bailie avoid looking at the camera also. You know, the Lady does the same thing, just sits on the grass with me and takes random shots, some of them have been her best she feelsl Katie is just adorable!. Love Dolly
Some shots are better when we are not looking at the camera. It is all in what you are looking for. Katie is like a living giant stuffed dog, so very gentle and furry!
Pawesome post…I can never have enough pics of my dog!!!! It’s fabulous being a model isn’t it Emma!!!! Happy Sunday!!!!
I think Mom has millions, but she just keeps snapping! That is okay, I enjoy the stardom.
All three of you girls look beautiful. We love the evenings, but so do the mosquitoes. It can be a swat fest for Mom. Have a wonderful day! Your Basset, Bentley
They aren’t around our yard yet…hopefully it will stay that way. We don’t have water too nearby, which helps out, and they spray for them here too.
Very nice photos of all you girls! Momma is always trying to find different angles to photograph from. It’s actually pretty funny to watch some of the ways she ends up! BOL
I should photograph Mom, that might be real funny, good point!
Your Mom captured your personalities so well, I feel as if I’ve already met you Emma, and your sisters. Hope your weather continues to be pawfect π
Unfortunately, it is pouring rain. We’ve had almost 4″ since yesterday and a couple more are on the way, but tomorrow afternoon it should clear up.
Mom is always trying to photograph us better. She said this blog was really helpful! Your pictures are wonderful. love your doodle friend, Dash
I’m always barking at my photographer to do better. When I look back to the shots she took when she first started with her camera, I can see improvement, but it takes lots of playing around.
You three are all so pretty, in my opinion. Your mom takes such beautiful photos of you.
Thank you. I keep my photographer working on bettering her work all the time.
I really like all three photos, they capture your personalities!
Thank you. Mom did a pretty good job.
I love all of these photos! I try to get below and shoot up, but as soon as I get down on the ground I am surrounded by dogs who are much too close to capture. π
Love that you got one of Katie (Daisy is the same way about cameras). Emma – Tell Bailie you are still top dog in my book!
Most of the time the three of us are fairly mellow. Bailie has burned off most of her energy by the evening, so it is a great time to get photos without lots of movement going on.
The pictures are great. Getting to their level captures how they look to other dogs
I guess Bailie would look like Godzilla to a tiny dog or our cats!
Luv your photos!
Thank you.
lovely photos!
Thank you.
Those are wonderful pictures and you are right, the different perspective does make a difference. I think you did a great job capturing personality.
They all came out really well, not bad work for my photographer.
The angle of the photo is key to implying something. When I took a videography class, we learned to make someone look big and powerful, to shoot looking up at them, of course the opposite is shooting down and making them look small and weak.
It’s interesting how playing with the angles can give such a different look to the subject.
BTW Delilah is so much like Katie, I can rarely get a good photo of her!
It is fun to just have free time to play around and see what comes out. Most of the time Mom is down at our level for photo shoots, but never thought about getting below us until this happened. Katie did well for a change!
Look at Katie smiling, she looks so happy!
I know, amazing to capture that! She is a pretty happy dog, but rarely looks that way on camera.
I like the one of Bailey from below, it gives her a Rin Tin Tin look. Like she is ready to save the day. Wonderful picture of Katie looking like a very happy camper π
She does look ready to save the day, doesn’t she?
