Saturday morning Mom, Bailie, and I set out for our long, two hour, adventure walk. Little did we know Mom was going to have us breaking rules. Actually, GBGV’s have a mind of their own, and so does Mom, so breaking rules is something we all kind of enjoy doing now and then. As long as no one is harmed, why not, right? It was pretty easy even for a dog to see the sidewalk was closed, but did Mom care? No. First we had to pose for the crime we were about to commit and then walk around the sign and keep going.Β
The road is closed to cars, so even the speed limit signs are down. The workers must have taken them down because I pinky paw swear Bailie and I did not do it! The grass is ripped out too, which meant we got to be in the nice dirt. Bummer I didn’t get to roll in it.
They are putting in new sewer pipes on this road. We thought these huge pipe pieces made kind of a cute dog house.
We also found this interesting piece of sewer stuff. Bailie said it was like a double decker, so I let her sit up top and I took the bottom. Mom only had her cell with for photos and she was shooting into the sun, thus kind of a lousy photo. Oh well, Bailie and I look cute anyway.
We were thinking about getting on some of the machines too, but Bailie said she was a bit scared of the big stuff, so we continued on our walk. It was actually fun breaking the rules, and early Saturday morning no one that would care is out in the area anyway. Does your Mom make you break rules on walks?
If you haven’t done so already, don’t forget to enter Katie’s birthday giveaway of Jones Natural Chews treats! Click here to get to the post to enter.
I amΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white.
You’re such rebels! The only rule Sadie and I break is walking the wrong way down our one way street everyday, lol. Like the concrete ‘dog house’; looks like a good place for a shady break on a long walk.
I think it would be a safe place too if there is a bad storm!
Hahahaha great post , you did good π
Thanks…sometimes breaking rules is fun.
Look at all the fun and fun photos you would have missed out on if you had followed the rules!
Bailie is planning on using this to her advantage with all the rules she is breaking at home!
we must admit – we love going places where we are not meant to – sort of adds to adventure π
Somehow a closed sign is more like an invitation π
Emma! You’re so funny! That looks like a great adventure. We love the double decker picture the best. We break the rules too. There are no dogs allowed at mom’s school, but she takes us there in the summer! We love those days. your doodle friend, Dash
Sounds like a fun rule to break as long as you don’t have to study!
Now that is what I call a great walk!!! Happy B&W Sunday!
Dirt, mischief and a walk all rolled into one, perfect!
I agree, you are a bunch of rebels! π But it looks like you had fun, and I don’t think the photos are lousy at all. I think they’re adorable! Thanks for sharing! Happy Sunday!
Mom isn’t much for using her camera for photos, but they came out okay.
Good adventure, and sometimes it’s okay to break some rules. We do it almost everyday. There’s huge open lot across from us that we use to cut across for our morning walks. Some kids started using it for 4-wheeling, so the owners put up No Trespassing signs…we walk right by them.
I figure if we get in trouble they can haul Mom off to the slammer. Bailie and I can claim we can’t read and they can bring us home. No trespassing is like trail closed…invites the curious ones to check it out!
We like to breaks rules too. The only rule we never break is to pick up our poop!
I let Mom handle that and believe me, with three of us, there is plenty to handle on our walks but she manages quite well.
That looked like FUN!! The mom has not let me break rules outside yet. She broke the rules inside yesterday. I am wearing the “cone of shame” because I had some kind of surgery on my tummy Friday. The “cone” is huge and awkward. She put me in an inflatable collar AND soft cone yesterday. That worked pretty good until she caught me licking my tummy. I am still in the plastic come today. π The doc said I had to stay calm for 7 days. Hee hee! Like that’s going to happen! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Can’t believe you need a cone. I didn’t have one and neither did Bailie or Katie. None of us licked. You can also wear a onesy (something for babies) backwards rather than the cone. Staying mellow is nearly impossible, but do your best.
Emma, I am surprised you are such a rule breaker! Those are great photos though so I believe it was well worth the crime! Happy Sunday to you, Bailie, Katie and your mom!
We all have minds of our own at our house π
We are rebels too just for a photo opportunity. Mmm you guys sat on that mud??? Hope you guys are okay with all that rain. We are thinking to join Ron’s MN trip in 2 weeks π will let you know. Happy Sunday. Golden Woofs
Plenty of water around here for sure! It is supposed to stop raining for a while, so hopefully we will have a chance to dry out at bit! Keep us posted if you are up here.
Great photos!!
Thanks!
My Mom might have done the same thing, operative word being “might” BOL!!!! Or should I say “probably?” Barks and licks and love, Dakota
Your mom? Can’t ever imagine her breaking a rule , LOL!
You two always look cuuuwoooowooooote!
Thanks π
You girls should be wearing hard hats in construction areas! Haha! Mom and Dad don’t let us break the rules. None of us look good in orange jumpsuits! β₯β₯β₯
Bailie and I look great in orange, but not sure about a jumpsuit???
We’re not sure what rules are either and y’all sure made the best of it!!!
I think cats really never care about rules, at least not at my house. You guys have your own set of rules to live by…no rules.
Love the pics.. sometimes it’s necessary to break the rules!!
Very true and it can be fun too.
Heather and Mr. K don’t need any coaxing to break a rule here and there. They tend to take that task on and make it there own mission! Glad you enjoyed your extended walk! Thanks for letting us share in your adventure. Much love, The Scottie Mom.
My little sister Bailie is a total rule breaker but she is only one, so that is part of it I think. Thanks for stopping by.
As long as we’re not caught, we not breaking the rules… we’re just exercising out rights to fweedom…
Not getting caught is the key!
You crazy law breaking pups!!!!! hehehehe!
Hope you all had a pawsome weekend!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I bet in Canada those Canadian Mountie dudes would have found us and chased us out on their horses π
Too bad ya didn’t get to roll in da dirt, dat woulda been fun!
We went swimming in the lake right afterwards and got in some nice mud. I had to pay with a trip to the groomer yesterday.
You got some great photos out of it! Lovely π
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
Thank you, we had some fun and camera fun too.
It is fun to get out and about to some different places to walk. I think the pictures came out nice.
A little forbidden off roading is always fun π
Sometimes it’s good to break the rules… and it sure makes for adorable photo ops π
Absolutely right!
life is too short not to break a couple of rules every now and again. it makes life interesting and of course it also makes for a great blog post! BOL
You are right on there! No wonder we get most of our ideas on walks!
Great pictures! Our mommy doesn’t let us break the rules:( We think you have a cool mom!
When it is Mom’s idea it is fine, but when it is our idea, she is not always on board.
You rebels you! Good luck to you on your next test. Thank you for your encouraging words on ours.
Thank you. We will give it a shot and see how it goes. I think Mom really expects me to pass, Bailie she isn’t so sure.
Ah…there is something “concrete” about breaking rules!
LOL! Good one!
Fun story. I love all the pictures. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
