Saturday morning we took our long adventure walk down to a small lake that has a playground area right next to the beach. Bailie has never been on playground equipment before. It was early and we were pretty much the only ones around, so we decided to try it out. Mom only had her phone along, so the photos may not be the best ever, but they came out good enough to post.
We climbed the steps up to the fun area.
I took a short break in the tunnel. It was quite warm and humid out and mean Mom said no swimming until after photos!
We tried out the short slide…notice our tongues seem to match the color of the slide!
There are lots of benches to sit on and relax. It was really windy, so our fur is a bit ruffled. The beach is behind us.
They even have a fishing pier. No, we didn’t fish, but it was a nice place for a break. We were hot and tired and refused to look at the camera, which doesn’t happen often, but it makes for a good photo as well. That was our playground area visit. Not too much real mischief, but it was fun to stop in the middle of our two hour walk for a little photo shoot.
I am joining the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies.
I love bringing my dogs to the playground and watching them on the equipment. I had one dog who loved running through the tunnel!
Looks like a fun day!

We like the tunnel, but since we have one at home, it isn’t as crazy as it used to be.
Dogs aren’t allowed on playgrounds in the city of Seattle but we prefer dog playgrounds (aka agility courses!) And we are also big fans of taking breaks from long walks for photos- it’s a breather and some obedience practice in one stop!
Very true. Some playgrounds say no dogs here too, but Mom is a rebel and in the early morning when there is no one around we go anyway. We figure the signs are to keep dogs from scaring kids and going to the bathroom in the play area. We aren’t doing either, so no harm done.
It looks like you had a great time at the playground! I’ve never thought about taking Sadie to one, but that might be fun. We pass one all the time on our usual walk route, but it is always so crowded we never go inside.
We usually are out early morning so no one is around
what a great place for an adventure – we have something like that in MY park too – I call it Fort Cowspotdog – ours isn’t as colorful though. We too find the best time to visit is when there isn’t any of those shrunken human types around
We only go early mornings on our walks when it is deserted. It’s no fun with a crowd.
What fun photos! I took Heather and Mr. K to the playground once – they absolutely loved it. Hope you two had just as much fun! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
We had a fun time. This isn’t the best one around, but variety is good too.
What a fun day. My gang has never been to a play ground.
It’s something different to do when there aren’t any mini humans around to spoil it.
looks like a fun place! I LOVE sitting on benches at the park, I sit UNDER them too BOL! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
It is nice and shady under them 🙂
Looks like a fun place for a day out. Stay cool now. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
It is super hot and humid today, so we already had our long walk and will be enjoying the a/c today. Maybe we will get the pool out later if we want to go outside.
It is amazing how much Emma and Bailie are beginning to look alike what cuties!
Mom says she can tell we are both the same breed, but if you know us we look very different because Bailie has a real wire haired coat and mine is soft and fluffy. Also, Bailie is taller, but we have a ton of similarities too.
Did you ever get to go swimming? My sister and I love to swim during a long walk too! We love the pictures–your tongues do look the same color as the slide!!! your doodle friend, Dash
No, Mom wouldn’t let us swim because everywhere we went there was a few feet of green algae and junk by the shore and she didn’t want us in that…so picky!
That playground looks like fun especially the slide! Did you go down it or just lay on it? Have a happy Monday!
I have been down the big ones with Mom before, but this time we just went down the small one.
Great photos! Looks like lots of fun at that playground 🙂
It was a nice break!
Did you slide down that slide Emma? Why is it when you put two dogs like that they look in opposite directions? Most of my pics of Jack and Maggie are like that 🙂
We do it a lot, and Mom says Katie and her former dog Trine did the same thing. Not sure. Usually, we try that but Mom gets us to focus, but we were just not in the mood that day. Sometimes it actually makes for a fun photo.
I love the playground too! Did you slide down the slide? I know how to do that its fun! Love Dolly
Just the small slide. The big one I only do with Mom together.
That looks like a wonderful day! My Boo Bear loves playground equipment, and he’ll try to climb up the slide instead of going down, silly boy. 🙂
I’ve tried that but was unsuccessful 🙁
Even when uncooperative divas, the two still came up with a perfect mirror-image shot!
Sometimes Mom just has to work with what she can get. Mirror images are fun too sometimes.
Looks like a fun day, swimming would have cooled you down though.
I know, but there was algae in the water around the edges and Mom didn’t want us to go in there.
Emma, that looks like such a fun spot! I don’t know if I would agree that you were up to mischief though. Everyone should be able to enjoy the play equipment. BOL
Happy Monday,
Oz
That is true, but it is mischief as it was for mini humans, not dogs 🙂
That was a nice place… have you seen a button on that tunnel? maybe it was a teleport-tunnel what can bring you to every place you like :o)
You mean like a field full of wabbits?
of course! … but please bring me one of that guys, ok?
We will catch most of them and leave them in a nice pile for you. We don’t need them anymore once we catch them as they stop moving.
Lovely pictures of the 2 of you. You each have beautiful tongues! You had a great day of play at the park. 🙂 XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
It was pretty nice.
Emma, you and Baillie are looking more and more alike all the time. I love these photos! You’re such a cool dog. 🙂
We are the same breed, but Mom says we look quite different. I guess it is all in how often you see us in dog 😉
Playgrounds are so much fun. You have a cool tunnel. Did you go down the slide with mom?
Lily & Edward
I’ve gone down big ones with Mom before, but not this time. We went down the small one, though.
Your tongues do match that slide! BOL!
Looks like you pups got tired out big time! That’s great! Playground fun rocks!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It is real hot and humid right now, so even early in the morning we were a bit warm. Tried to find the zippers to take off our fur coats, but had no luck.
We only have human parks where we live, so we just marched ourselves right in for Pierre’s birthday party. I mean they let ducks wander around and they critters are vicious!
Ducks are nothin’! Have you met Canadian Geese? They chase full sized humans around, they are nasty!
You could all have fun on that big slide…Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I’m scared of it unless Mom is with me going down.
Loks like it was a pleasant way to spend the day. Harley would agree with you Emma, “mean Mommy” – he’s got one of those himself (so he says).
She always tells me we are so spoiled, we don’t know how good we have it, but I highly doubt that 😉
Sadly not to many parks in Toronto allow dogs 🙁 but looks like a great time Emma!
That wouldn’t stop us. We go early morning, don’t use these areas as a bathroom and are out before anyone even knows 😉 Mom likes mischief too.
That looks like fun to have the playground there for a little break from your walk. It does look hot though the way your tongues are hanging out! I guess you and Bailie decided when the photo shoot was over this time, huh? 🙂
It was more humid than hot, but a break was nice. Too bad we couldn’t swim, that would have been nice.
What a pawsome time? I hope you eventually got to enjoy the water 🙂
Sadly, we did not as there was lots of algae by the shoreline and Mom wouldn’t let us go in that green stuff.
Definitely a good call on her part!
So cute! Ace really enjoys playing on playground equipment too. It reminds us of agility!
It is kind of a twist on an agility course.
Cute pictures!
Thank you.
What a fun park! Love the pic of the tongues matching the slide! Looks like you guys earning and ice cream or a frosty paw or some such for all your modeling in the heat!
We got breakfast when we got home. We have had ice cream almost daily because of our current heat wave, so we are good.
Ugh, I hate muggy days. I’m glad you girls got to enjoy it. That playground looks like it was a lot of fun to explore. 🙂
We can’t stand humidity either, but luckily we have our splash pool if we are out in the yard and we have a/c in the house.
You’ve got some fab photos!
Thank you 🙂
Do you get to go in the water there? We don’t have many places around here that the dogs can swim in.
No, too much algae by the shore, so Mom wouldn’t let us. Huge bummer.
Looks like you had a lot of fun. I wish we had a playground near our walks. I think Maya would enjoy it.
We have playgrounds all over the place and they are all different, so it is fun.
That looks like a really great place to hang out and take a break. You do look hot but your pouting no smile picture is so cute … made me smile 🙂 I bet you were happy to get home and relax after your hard day.
Every now and then my smile goes on break 🙂
Bailie’s going to win if you have a family tongue contest!
She always has her tongue out it seems…unless she stole something and is hiding it in her mouth.
Playgrounds are definitely more fun with a friend! 🙂
This is true. Most of life is more fun with a friend.
Playgrounds are not just for kids!! Great fun. And a beach besides?! I’d be hitting that beach post haste!
Mom said the water wasn’t good enough for us to swim. She likes perfect water, so we didn’t get to take a dip.
Oh, so sad. 🙁
