Today, Bailie is taking over the blog. I wasn’t feeling well last weekend, so I sent m PR Dog Bailie to cover the Dog Days of Summer event. She said it was pretty crowded, lots of people and dogs.
One of her most important stops was her daycare booth, Dog Day Getaway. She cruised by, gave them a woof, and checked to make sure things on the table were in order.
She met a herd of traveling Westies. They weren’t too interested in her she said.
Bailie stopped by the Chuck and Don’s booth sniffing for food. She knows they always have tasty food.
A woman asked her if she would like to have her nails done. Bailie thought getting a pedicure was pretty pawsome! I would never have let that happen to me. I find such work in public to be embarrassing.
Mom and Bailie found a place called G’Day Pet Care that does pet sitting and dog walking in our area. We are keeping their card handy as we might need such a service one of these days. Mom rarely leaves us, but these days with so many of us, a sitter would be the easiest.
They came across this adorable sign, complete with a Basset! Too bad my pal Bentley at Barking from the Bayou wasn’t there, but then again, neither was I. This guy was giving Bailie the scoop on the best booths to score snacks.
The iron signs were real fun, but I guess none of them really fit us, so they did not buy one.
On the way back to the car, Bailie had to stop and check out the goodie bag, and guess what she found? Yep, two pigs ears. Mom says we have to split them so we can all have some, but how yummy is that? She accumulated lots of poop bags, a few snacks, some good coupons, and a couple cards from businesses we will be contacting. It was a perfect outing, but we have decided Bailie needs her own business cards. It is just wrong for her to give out my cards, and people get confused. She gave out a lot of my cards which was great but it is time to get some of her own ordered.
On another note, Bailie passed her CGC test on Sunday! Woo hoo!!!Β Now we both have a title with our names. She worked really hard learning to avoid people since her first try last month. It was close, but she passed. Congratulations, little sis!
Today Iβm joining the Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog! Join up and share in the fun, or just visit a few new blogs!
what an awesome event to go visit and congrats on getting your CGC – you are a rock star Bailie !
Bailie is really turning into a fine well mannered young lady GBGV.
Looks like Baiie had an amazing day and congrats on her CGC! Hope you are feeling better now π
I was sick as a dog…wait, I am a dog…well, whatever. It only lasted about a day and then I was fine. Glad to have Bailie to help me out.
Emma-bailie did a great job in your place but why weren’t you feeling well? Are you feeling better now?
Congratulation and well done with the CCC Bailie. . Love those metal signs. Hope mum is feeling better. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Everyone is back on healthy. Bailie had a pawsome weekend and I got some good rest.
What a busy day Miss Bailie had, but we are sorry you were not well and had to stay home. Hope you are back to your normal self, Emma. I bet your mom was really worried about you. Congratulations on your CGC, Bailie, and welcome to the sorority! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Mom was worried because I have never ever been sick. It was just a one day thing and then I was back to my old self. Not sure what happened but something upset my tummy. Glad to have Bailie done with the CGC so we can concentrate on more fun stuff now.
Looks like a fun outing – with lots of treats available on those tables! Congrats on passing your CGC test Bailie…we are pretty impressed at your adolescent self-control.
Bailie is real well behaved most of the time. Mom is very proud of her.
I hope you’re feeling good again, Emma. Being sick is no fun. It must be nice to have an assistant you can send out – keeping this blog running is a lot of work for a doggie. Bailie did a good job! =)
I’m not always a fan of over crowded places anyway, and Bailie loves it, so it works well to have her on my team.
Congratulations to Bailie on passing the CGC test! Looks like a really fun time at the Dog Days of Summer event. We hope Emma feels better really soon!
It was just a one day thing, and I have never been sick in my life, so it wasn’t too bad. Bailie had fun and did a good job for me.
Oh boy some buddy had a big day. And even a pawdicure
Snorts
Lily & Edward
Bailie had a blast, and did a good job for me and the blog too.
Love the herd of westies!
–Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats
It was a real herd! Can’t imagine having so many dogs along, but it worked for their shepherd.
It looks like Bailie had a fantastic time!
I hope you’re fully recovered, Emma.
Please pass on my congratulations to Bailie on passing her test.
We are all proud of her considering 6 months ago she was the class clown and in danger of passing Obedience 1.
Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well Emma. Bailie is growing up into a lovely young woman and yes she deserves her own cards! Love Dolly
It was the first time I have ever been sick, so it was odd, but Bailie stepped right into my paw prints and did a good job.
That looks like a darn fun summer event! Congrats Bailie, you go girl!
She is turning into a fine young GBGV.
Hi Emma, it looks like Bailie had a good time! Good for you for delegating. My sister wouldn’t be as good at that kind of event. Hey, mom wanted you to know that you inspired her again! She was impressed with your scent training and that she was thinking what would we want to get involved with? So she signed me up for swimming!! It’s a special club for Dogs!! We go on Saturday for my orientation. My sister isn’t really a swimmer and doesn’t really like classes so Mom is thinking about what she will do with her as a special treat. But I can’t wait!! Thanks Emma! Your doodle friend, Dash
That sounds really fun! Have a blast. I love to swim too, but I have plenty of other activities. We love inspiring others!
Thanks for joining the blog hop Emma!! It looks like Bailie is quickly becoming a great canine ambassador! I think pet sitters are the way for me to go as well. One of our favorite vet techs at our vet does pet sitting and I think if I ever have need, she’ll be the one I go to.
I’m glad you have events such as this, I’m not sure we do so that tells me we are either way behind the times or I am out of the loop!
There are so many events, but we never knew about them. Now with blogging, Mom seems to pay more attention to these things now and we are trying to go a bit more.
Well done, Bailey! A day at a festival AND earning her CGC! You must be very proud, Emma seeing that you helped train her.
Oz
I am proud of the little squirt…she does a good job!
Looks like a fun outing, Bailie. And woo-hoo for passing your test! HIGHPAW!
She had a great time and was real proud to pass her test.
What a great day and congrats on the CGC!
Thank you!
Bailie does the work and you get the treats…I think you may be on to something here!
Isn’t that what younger siblings are for?
Congratulations to Bailie on her CGC title and on a successful day of PR work! She has done well to earn her own business cards, or I should say you have trained her well, Emma!
She has learned from the best π We are all proud of her.
Hey Emma! Thanks for thinking about me and give your mom & Bailie a kiss for taking the photo. It’s a really cool sign and now mom wants one! Sheesh, I think that I’m plenty enough Basset around here. Pierre would have loved to meet a herd of Westies, but he’d have come over and talked to your sister. I’ve taught him to appreciate beautiful girls. We don’t have anything fun like that here. Congratulations on Bailie getting her CGC title. Y’all are going to have the whole alphabet behind your names pretty soon! XXOO β₯ Your Best Basset, Bentley
Next stop will hopefully be a tracking dog title for Bailie in the winter. That sign was cool, but since we aren’t true Bassets, Mom didn’t buy it.
What a cool event! Emma, I’m sorry you weren’t feeling well. I hope you’re on the mend? But it looks like Baillie had tremendous fun in your stead. π
I was sick for a whole day, just couldn’t keep stuff down, but then I was fine again. No idea what happened since I have never been sick before.
Looks like a great event\!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Bailie and Mom had fun!
Emma I hope you feel better, maybe that pigs ear Bailie brought to you was helpful. Bentley was my first thought too as I saw the Basset :o) Congrats Bailie to your CGC!!!
We had the pigs ears last night…mighty tasty I must say! There were several Bassets there I guess, but only one was interested in hanging out with Bailie.
Looks like fun was had by all! Great job Bailie!!
She is a great PR dog!
Looks like fun! I fink I woulda been more interested in ya dan dose westies, momma says I are always “too interested” in everything.
Other than squirrels and wabbits we aren’t too interested in things π
Congrats on passing your CGC Bailie. Good job! Looks like a great outing. I like that you were able to collect stuff. π Thanks so much for joining the hop!
We are super proud of our little sister. She is doing stuff Katie and I never did at her age.
Yay, Bailie! Congrats on passing the CGC test. That is quite the accomplishment!
She is an awesome, smart girl and we are all so proud of her. She was even proud of herself after passing.
What a great time and congrats on your CGC! Awesome!
As you can see in the photo, Bailie was proud of herself, and we are all so proud of her too. Mom is just thrilled they can stop all the practicing and focus on fun stuff like nose work and tracking now.
Congratulations on your CGC Bailie! It’s hard work to get that title.
Thank you. Mom and Bailie are both happy to have it behind them…got tiring with all the practice.
Congratulations on passing the CGC Bailie! So sorry you weren’t feeling well Emma! Looks like a great event to go to.
I guess getting sick for a day for the first time in only eight years is nothing to complain about.
WOohoo Bailie, congratulations on passing the CGC… and you look like you had lots of fun going around the stalls!! π Sorry Emma was sick!
Since I have never been sick in my life, I managed to deal with one day of being ill. Bailie had more fun than I would have had anyway.
Y’all sure do have some fun stuff up in your part of the world. I hope you’re feeling all better now.
This time of year it seems like there is a festival for dogs every week.
