As you know, cousin Lena has graced us with her presence at my B&B for her ten day summer vacation. With four of us ages one, four, seven, and twelve, we have to mix and match a lot of our fun.
Mom doesn’t take all four of us for walks at the same time, so walk time is a mix and match time of one to three of us at a time. In the yard, we all have our favorite activities as well. Some dogs like a big Unbreakoball, others are obsessed with a tennis ball.
Lena likes to get right in our pool and grab out all the toys.
Bailie prefers to just put her front paws in and splash around a lot.
I like to wrestle with Bailie and remind her that I am the boss around here.
Would anyone like to play a game of Frisbee with Bailie? She doesn’t fetch, she prefers a game of keep away.
Chase is the favorite game of Bailie and I. Lena plays if she has a ball in her mouth. Go Bailie, get that Lab!
Sometimes three dogs are in action. Katie likes to get involved with referee work and I am keeping an eye on the riff raff next door.
Other times we are all four in our own zone, doing our own thing. How I love to hear myself howl. I know a good howl in music to our neighbors ears!
But no matter what toys we have, what games we want to play, we cannot change the fact that cousin Lena is a Lab. Her most prized possession, and best friend in life is a tennis ball. Thank goodness I won a Chuck It last year, because Mom uses it several times a day when Lena is here.
You don’t need a big excursion or fancy equipment to get a good work out in your own backyard. All you need is at least one dog and one human for the fitness to begin. If you have multiple dogs and/or humans, you can mix and match activities and have even more fun!
I’m super excited to share that I am a the new third cohost for the FitDog Friday BlogHop! Iβm joining the hosts SlimDoggy, and To Dog With Love! Thank you so much for asking me! Share your fitness stories with others on Fridays and find fun, new fitness ideas too!
Four at once, don’t know how you do it! It sure seems like fun.
It is a lot of fun, but a lot of work for Mom. We love having Lena here, but when she goes home is always seems so peaceful and simple.
That’s one very busy group of dogs. i love that Katie is right out there in the middle of things. It must be hard to manage four different dogs with different interests, stamina and routines…
Welcome to co-hosting – we’re so happy to have you!
Having three of us is a lot with the age spread, but with four, Mom gets lots of additional exercise walking and running us in various combinations. It is a fun challenge, though. We are so happy to be cohosting, thank you so much for asking us!
Four beauwoowooooootiful girls! xoxoxoxoxoxo, Ku
You should see the long line of boys at our fence, LOL!
My favorite picture and comment, Emma, is the one with you howling and explaining that you love to hear yourself howl, and how fond of it the neighbors are!
Your friend,
Livvie
Mom loves my foghorn howl! I can always find some good reason to howl.
What a great time and many more days ahead to have so much fun. Enjoy your stay Lena.Check your fb message, I sent you one. π
Lena will be going home on Sunday, so we still have the weekend, then we will all need a good rest! I will check fb in a bit.
Looks like y’all are havin fun!
Our yard takes a real beating with all the activity out there. We have a blast!
Congratulations on being a part of the Fit Friday blog hop! It looks as if Lena is adding even more fun to playtime! Have a fun Friday! β₯β₯ Bentley
We are super excited, it is our first blog hop hosting “gig” and staying fit is so important to us, so it is perfect. Thank you, Bentley!
Sounds like the most fun ever!!
It is kind of like our own dog park when we have guests over!
Looks like there’s always some action going on, especially with your cousin visiting! I bet you are all nice and tired after running around like that all day.
We all crash out at night and there is snoring, talking in our sleep, running in our sleep. Mom says we are hilarious to watch and listen to.
You all look to be having such a fun time!!
Can we fly over and join you?!
Lots of Woofs from Earl, Ethel and I at Earl’s World!
Come on over, we still have space and beds available!
Now that looks like a lot of fun and it is great you all get along so well and love to play. I bet that pool is a welcome relief at the end of all that running around π
The pool is perfect in the summer. Lena and I love to splash all the water out of it and get soaked while doing it.
Your B & B looks like so much fun!
It is fun. We play hard, but we also sleep hard. Lots of snoring and dreaming around here.
That is one amazing bunch of fun!!!
And sometimes cat bro Bert participates in the fun when we are in the house.
Glad the chuck it has come in useful. You all look like you are having a great time together. Enjoy and stay cool. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
We think you have to have one if you own a retriever. We only use it when Lena is visiting.
What fun you all have together, you are so lucky! Love Dolly
It is a lot of fun, but we are all ready to get back to our normal lives after about a week. Kind of fun overload!
Emma, I bet you have a beautiful howling voice! Backyard play is great, but I am currently in the indoor play mode with my Boston brother and sister. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We get in trouble if we get wild in the house, so the yard is a necessity or Mom would need to take the furniture out of the living room so we could chase and wrestle there.
Wow! Looks like so much fun. Wish we could come over and play NOW! We’re so happy to have you join us as a FitDog Friday co-host!
Diane and Rocco
You would love it and we also do lots of barking and howling so you wouldn’t have to worry about barking!
Hi Emma, How can Lilly and I come to stay at your bed and breakfast? You guys (girls) have so much fun! I love your back yard. Ours is tiny, but we try to do our best!! Happy Friday. Your doodle friend, Dash
At least you have a backyard. Lots of dogs don’t have a yard at all. You make do with what you have.
You sound like our mom! We are happy we have a back yard, you’re right! And we get to go on lots of long wonderful walks and romps in the park.
A three ring circus has nothing on your four dog circus! This post is perfectly timed for us because we’re watching Dutch for the weekend. I have yet to attempt walking all three pups together, any suggestions for technique?
Mom doesn’t do all four because it is just too much but with three, we each have our position. I’m left, Katie is right and Bailie in the middle. When we have a guest dog, then that dog takes the place of the one of us that is missing. It works for us with the exception of an occasional snafu.
I’m not sure if 4 human girls would play together as happy as you. Probably some human girls should learn something from dogs :o)
Well, sometimes we have some squabbles too, but for the most part we get along really well. Human females are like cats, not so nice to each other.
Like the real housewives on Bravo TV lol… they should take some lessons at your class :o)
So true!
That seems like so much fun! We mix and match too – our girls don’t really get along, so it’s one to three dogs in the yard at a time. Our house is great, it sits in the middle of the yard instead of at one side, and it’s all fenced around. The doggies love that – they run several laps in the time I walk around once.
It’s too warm here now to play in the middle of the day, but we play ball in the morning and evening. I’m pretty bad at throwing, so I bought some extra bouncy balls to make up for it. =D
Mom can’t throw either, but the chuck it is a great tool when Lena is here. We have some fights now and then, but for the most part, we get along.
Looks like a great time! Awesome photos too.
Thank you. Lots of action on our turf.
Congrats on your new co-hosting duties! You are a perfect fit for this hop. What fun in your backyard! You have a great variety of play there, and Lena just always fits in with your crew perfectly. She’s even the right color. π
You know, Mom likes everything to match π We love being the new co host. We never thought about it, it just happened.
Mr. N would love to play keep away. He enjoys chasing after other dogs. Especially if they have toys. He doesn’t want the toy, he just likes running after them.
That is pretty much hat my sisters and I like to do too, but cousin Lena wants to play the fetch game all the time.
Congrats on your new gig! Looks like so much fun. I think brown dawgs would love to play in your yard with the doggies.
It’s like a small dog park sometimes. Lots of fun.
I am so glad I got myself a Chuck It as well, well I guess I should say got Laika a Chuck It. Your yard looks like the best dog hangout around.
There is a lot of fun. The ChuckIt only gets used when Lena is here, but it gets used a lot then.
Lena is so lucky that she gets to come stay with you girls! Looks like you are having a great time!
We are having a lot of fun. She loves staying with us! It is probably like Diesel coming to your place, always something going on.
There’s a lot of energy in that backyard! XD It’s fun to see how different breeds/ages play when they’re all mixed together. π I’m glad everyone had a good time and that you’ve got that Chuck-It laying around.
There is a lot going on, but everyone is having fun and that is the main thing.
Harley wants to know the telephone number to the Bed and Breakfast so he can make a reservation. Looks like a doodle*tastic place to vacation!
Harley and the four girls…he would have his own harem! Lena and I aren’t much into the boy thing, but Katie and Bailie love flirting and hanging out with the boys.
That is a pawsome vacation! π
Lena is going home in a few hours. It was fun, but we are all tired out.
Looks like a great day! I don’t blame you for not being able to walk all four dogs at once. I can’t even walk my two at once.
Mom does do three, but two is much easier.
