It’s just about time to head back to dog school for the fall semester. The humans always have a debate over dogs and counting, can we, can’t we? Well, I found out in dog school, that one can equal two!
CANIDAE Natural Pet Food Company asked me to review some of their healthy treats for dogs and with CANIDAE, one can equal two! I was sent two varieties to try: Grain Free Pure Heaven with Duck and Chickpeas and Life Stages Bakery Snacks with Lamb, Wild Rice and Sweet Potato. Both biscuits can easily be broken into two pieces for smaller dogs, or smaller snacks, thus one can equal two!
I was a bit concerned about the life stages as they have sweet potato. Normally I won’t go near anything that has sweet potato, but I actually loved these biscuits.
Some facts about the Life Stages dog treats:

- A nutritious blend of natural ingredientsโincluding whole grains, fruits & vegetables
- Never any corn, soy, wheat, fillers, antibiotics, hormones, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives

Some facts about the Grain Free PURE heaven dog treats:

- Guaranteed levels of probiotics for better digestion
- Guaranteed levels of antioxidants for immune health
- Guaranteed levels of omega 6&3 for beautiful skin and coat
How did we like these treats? We all really love them. These are treats where we don’t want to stop at just one, we want the whole bag. Speaking of bags, each bag has some 30-40 treats, so you won’t run short!
I think Katie’s tongue pretty much sums up her thoughts on these biscuits! Get the #tongueoutTuesday going here!
What about little sis Bailie? All I can say is, “Have you seen CANIDAE eyes?” Talk about concentration and focus!
Send your pup back to school with snacks the other dogs in class will be jealous of! Good healthy snacks will help your dog stay focused in class as well as healthy all around. With 30-40 snacks per bag, your pup can also share with friends and become quite the popular pup!
My sisters and I give both products four paws up! We will definitely purchase CANIDAE products in the future!
Would you like to win some of these tasty products, or other prizes? CANIDAE runs a weekly drawing called Free Stuff Friday. There is a new winner each week. Prizes vary, but include treats, Frisbees, and shirts. To enter visit the CANIDAE Facebook page.

I am joining the Tasty Tuesday blog hop sponsored by Kolโs Notes and Sugar the Golden Retriever. If you are looking for tasty ideas, take a look at what other dogs are baking and eating!
Yea the whole bag sounds good to us. Glad you enjoyed. Have a terrific tasty Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
Both bags are great!
Awesome! We always love treats that can be broken into multiples….we dont want any chubby puppies! Thanks for sharing info about these great products!
We dogs prefer that they stay in one larger piece, but a half is better than nothing!
those sound like great treats and it is always useful when they can broken easily into smaller bits
Evidently, we don’t always need a big treat. I beg to differ, but that is Mom’s opinion and she controls the treats.
Ohhh great review. Great lesson about yum!
Thank you. One can never have too much yum!
Great review, Emma! We tried these treats for a review awhile back and now buy them. All three dogs love them ๐
Mom was surprised I liked them because I don’t normally like sweet potato and often I refuse grain free, but these were both to drool for.
Oh I wish I could go to school with those treats! ( but I can’t I’m too wise for school) I specially love that treats with fish are available too for dogs, I love fish! Have a tasty tuesday!
We rarely get fish around here. My mom has a fish phobia and doesn’t buy or handle stuff with fish. Weird, I know, but luckily there are lots of other yummy foods out there too. When we do get fish, we love it.
I love fish too… maybe that’s the french part of us?
WOA! The mom has not seen a desk like that since she lived in Buffalo, NY in 3rd grade! I thought the treats looked yummy for my tummy. The pictures of you, “eyes,” and “pink tongue” were pawsome. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Glad you mom likes my new desk. My mom saw it at a garage sale recently and had to buy it. It works great for Bailie and I and is also a great antique and reminder of the old days for Mom! I must say the seat is a bit hard, though.
Honey is shocked, Emma! You don’t like sweet potato?!
Maybe Canidae has changed your mind and you’ll like it from now on.
I know, I can be picky. Normally I won’t even put anything with sweet potato in my mouth, but I love these. Katie and Bailie love sweet potato.
School! No way Jose. However, we’ll go if we could bring Canidae treats with us
Lily & Edward
Actually, we went back to school last night, but I love my nose work school! If you don’t like school, just eat the treats, they taste fine at home too.
Katie can count. She knows how many treats she gets each day and if she is short one she stands on the treat bowl and barks.
Oh yeah, we dogs know about counting. Humans are not as clever as they think!
Canidae is one of the brands the human buys sometimes ๐ though nowadays the human has been enthusiastically making dehydrated treats at home ๐
We always have a revolving mix of treats including homemade.
Oh Emma, we love treats that can easily break in two! Those treats sound yummy. We will have to look into them! Great review!
Oz
Really practical if you have different sized dogs. We normally like a bigger treat, but some of our friends are smaller, or dogs like you need smaller ones.
Emma, nice review, your photos were making Harley hungry. All you need now is a lunchbox to carry your goodies in…
I only had Hello Kitty or Hot Wheels lunch boxes to choose from, so I decided to go without ๐
You just make us smile, smile, smile. Mom works at a school so she just loved your post today –made her giggle thinking about getting us ready for a first day of school!
School is no joke, it is hard work. We were back in nose work class last night and I have another one tonight. I have to get lots of rest with all the work and learning! I need good fuel!
We love these treats too – thanks for the review and the reminder about them!
I never forget about treats, so you can always count on me for reminders ๐
Great for stuffing a backpack, huh?
Oh yes. I actually have some in our nose work bag which has Jones Chews on one side from BlogPaws 2013 ๐
I’ve heard of this company, but we’ve never tried any. They sound great! Luke will be headed back to school this fall, so we’ll have to put some in his lunchbox! ๐
Oh boy! He will be super popular if his friends get a whiff of these treats!
Those look and sound so yummy! Great review and post!! Thanks for sharing!
They are good and practical too. Perfect I would say.
You always do get the yummy stuff!
Cat bro Bert says they aren’t bad for cats either, but I think cats should order the cat treats and leave mine alone ๐
Yummmmmmmy!
I always just love your photos! You pups rock!
แฆ husky hugz แฆ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thank you. We love doing photo shoots too ๐
I think you are way too smart for school Emma! Love Dolly
Oh heavens no! I have lots to learn. We started back to class last night and I have another class tonight. August is a big school month for us dogs at my house.
Our MOM was a Teacher… before she BE TIRED of it. So we think 1 SNACK can = 2
BUTT fur Advanced Students One BAG can = 87.
Holy bully sticks! That is super advanced math! I can tell your mom used to be a teacher. Teachers pets are always so smart – LOL!
Those treats look yummy Emma!
They are real tasty!
Those sure look tasty! *Your going to laugh when you see Thursday’s post..Great minds and all that stuff! Huggles โฅ Your Basset, Bentley
Oh man…I have to wait two whole days! I bet it is either the same treats or a school theme?
They look great!
Both kinds are real yummy.
Petal use to eat Canidae kibble when she was a puppy, before we switched to homemade and now The Honest Kitchen. She loves Canidae’s food and treats though! We stay away from sweet potato too, but not because Petal dislikes it but rather her tummy seems to dislike it. They look tasty though! And I love a treat that can easily be snapped in half, it makes them go farther. ๐
If it causes tummy trouble, it should be avoided!
Never tried Canidae treats. Sugar used to be in Canidae (just for a very short time). Love that it says “Pure Heaven” ENJOY! Happy Tasty Tuesday. Golden Woofs
We have heard of them and seen them around but never tried the brand before either. They are great.
Now there’s some math that even a blonde girl can understand. ๐ I’ve never heard of Canidae before, but those duck and chickpea treats, Bailie’s eyes, and Katie’s tongue sold me. And you, Miss Emma, are the cutest girl in class!
Awww, I bet you are good at math and just pretend to be a “blonde”. I have a handsome Golden in my nose work class that would love a blonde like you! These are real good, so I suggest you get some for yourself.
A very intelligent review. Glad to hear the snack is appropriate for back to school!
Since Bailie moved in, we have had school, school, school, so we need lots of school treats. They work well for doing homework too ๐
Emma, I bet you’re the most popular girl in school ๐
Last night at my new nose work class, I had everyone fawning over me. I totally soaked it all up, but I am more for the humans than the other dogs.
There have been so many great treat choices lately that it can be overwhelming! I’m glad to hear that you really liked these.
Bunny
Finally there seems to be a wide selection of good healthy treats, which I don’t think was the case not long ago. Our treat drawer is well stocked and that is important. Can you imagine the terror of running low on treats?
I’ve just read your last comment. Running low on treats is a terrible thought!
Can you imagine? It would be worse than no internet connection!
SCHOOL?!? No one said there’d be MATH…..
๐ Looks nommy!
in my bailey’s case, 1 = 10! i have to cut her treats into teeny tiny pieces or else she can’t eat them. BOL
Wow! Those little dogs are more like cats when it comes to portion sizes!
