I was excited to write my August review. I put in my order for some tasty new treats from Dr. Tim and was expecting my box from Chewy.com to arrive at my door, but instead my review was hijacked – not once, but twice! Stay tuned to find out who did the hijacking. In the meantime, don’t forget Chewy.com has more than 300 brands to choose from and delivers your order right to your door. If you have any questions about their products or your order, you can call their customer service team 24/7! I love their variety of healthy products and fast delivery!
First, it appears that the usual guy in the brown truck was hijacked again because my crazy teenage sister delivered my package. She says it is her last month until next summer, so we shall see. At least she came right up to the door this time.
For my review this month, I chose Dr. Tim’s Natural Beef Chips Genuine Freeze-Dried Dog & Cat Treats. Mom took the lid off the package and they sure smelled great! I wanted to dive right in and eat them all, but being a professional, I held myself back.
Look at the list of ingredients in these treats: beef hearts. Yep, that is it, one ingredient! You can enjoy them as is, or soak them in a bit of water to “bring them back to life”. I’m sure you are wondering what the drawbacks are to these treats? Well, there is just one. They are made in Wisconsin and I have a sneaking suspicion Dr. Tim may be a Packers fan. I’m a Vikings dog, so that doesn’t sit well in my tummy, but I think in this case I can turn a long floppy ear the other way because these treats are delish!
Two other great features about these treats are that they are not at all messy, and you can easily break them into smaller pieces. Because of these two reasons, guess what I am now including in my nose work bag for high value rewards? My nose is really willing to work now!
I said my review was hijacked twice, and cat bro Bert was the second perp! Mom carelessly left the package unattended in the kitchen and he was on it…or more like in it! Evidently he can read, and saw the treats are for dogs and cats so he demanded a piece of the review action.
He managed to get the lid loose and was about to attempt to eat the entire package of treats. Believe me, he could do that. He is not your average house kitty.
Luckily, Mom caught him before he started chowing down. She offered him one piece which he took right away. If you have cats, remember Chewy.com has a ton of cat products and every order does come in a box which is like a bonus cat toy for your kitty. If you are a dog, I suggest you keep your order away from your cat or they may just steal it all.
I love Chewy.com, and I love Dr. Tim’s Natural Beef Chips Genuine Freeze-Dried Dog & Cat Treats. These treats may be made by Dr. Tim, but they are highly recommended by Dr. Emma!
Disclosure: I received Dr. Tim’s Natural Beef Chips Genuine Freeze-Dried Dog & Cat Treats from Chewy.com to review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review and I receive no additional benefits for barking about the product or the company. The opinions in this review are my own honest opinions.
I am joining the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies.
Both the dogs and the cats in our house love freeze-dried treats!
Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats
Unfortunately, the cat loves them. I don’t want to share with cats!
Great review.
Thank you!
those really are the best ever treats….we loved the freeze dried tripe with no smell. You did a great review even if you had co conspirators trying to steal the goodies 🙂
I was going to order the tripe but they were out of stock. I will be getting them soon hopefully.
TOO funny cute! It takes a very talented dog to to focus on the review and the product swiping simultaniously!
I know. My siblings don’t make my life easy. Somehow they have no respect for all I do for them!
Thanks for the review Emma – they look pretty yummy. I can’t eat beef – do they have other proteins?
Most of their freeze dried treats are beef, but they have chicken and turkey too 😉
Looks like a super yummy treat. Glad you finally got some!
They are so good, unbelievable!
Love the photo of Bailie in the little helmet. LOL! Not to mention the classic cat-in-a-box. Great review, Emma!
Those beef chips look fantastic. And we see the box was put to good use too
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
You mean the bonus cat toy 😉 that comes with every order!
Dr. Emma, that’s one prescription I think every pet would want filled 🙂 Nice job…
Dr. Emma will be prescribing these to all my friends.
BOL!!! Great review, even if it got cat-jacked! BOL!!!
That darn cat is always in my stuff. I don’t know what to do with him!
Well I’m glad you found them, they do look yummy. We are all about those one ingredient treats.
They are so good! Perfect for our nose work.
Great review!
We had a raised dog dish hijacked. I was so bummed, because it was custom made.
Thank you! These treats are just what we needed for our nose work rewards.
Great review and the last pic is priceless. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks, and the Dr. does prescribe these for all dogs and if you have to feed a cat, they can have some too.
No matter how treats are labeled, I’ve found that pets are not bound by such restrictions. If they can eat it, they will! If they can’t eat it? The still probably will anyway.
Certain pets are more determined to eat than others, and cat bro Bert is one of those, Bailie is close behind.
Those sneaking cats! Love Dolly
That is my rotten to the core cat bro Bert. Nothing but trouble with that guy!
YUM! We got these from Chewy this month, too, and loved them. Great review!
They are just the ticket for our nose work. Finally we have found the right thing.
Not sure if your package was hijacked or high-jinxed! Your delivery gal, Bailie, is just too cute. Bert is way to smart! Finally, Dr. Emma, you are adorable. Enjoy your treats and do not forget to share with Sophie. 😉 XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Sophie is rather finicky, she doesn’t want any, thankfully. I have enough to share with my sisters and Bert!
Always the sneaky cats!
Cats are just so tough to live with! We have fun sometimes, but they are big pests.
I think the pups would love those!!
I don’t know any dog that wouldn’t love these. If the cat is trying to break open the package, then it has to be good.
Too cute! One time i was on my way out when a box full of cat food and treats arrived so I just threw it on the living room floor and went out. When I got home there was kibble everywhere as my cats ate through the cardboard box, and the bags of food. Naughty little kitties
We have all out extra food and treats locked in a dog kennel in the basement because cat bro Bert eats through bags and boxes if there is food. He is almost worse than any of us dogs!
Love the pics! Wish Bailie did deliveries in our neck of the woods! Rita is now bugging me to get her some beef hearts!! Your review worked!
Dr. Emma highly recommends them, healthy and tasty and perfect for training!
hahaha what a cool summerjob for Bailie. Can she deliver oversea orders too? maybe when we add some paddles it works like a pedalo boat?
I would love to set her adrift!
OMD what a grand review… we are sorry that your REGULAR BROWN guy.. went missing … BUTT you just ADORE the Substitute!!!!!
LOVE CHEWY.COM on THIS HILL…. They have EVERYTHINGY anybuddy could EVER want…
Thank you. I think the brown guy will return next month, so this nonsense with Bailie can end 😉 Chewy.com is pawsome!
They look amazing!
They are super duper tasty!
At least the hijackers got some darn nice goodies! That sure was a fun post!
I bet you kitties like having Bert in the review 😉
Dr. Emma! How could this blatant vandalism go on right under your nose? Things are getting out of hand with that teenage driver and new BERT!?! Keep your eye out on Katie ☺
Katie is the only trustworthy one in the house! Bert and Bailie I think may be plotting together against me!
Wow! You got a cat in a box from Chewy? hahaha!!! 😉
Love the little 4 wheeler pic!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I should return that cat in the box to Chewy.com! He is nothing but trouble at our house.
You really do have some crazy siblings, Emma. It’s a wonder that those treats ever make it to you to get reviewed! 🙂
It is a constant battle for me around here. My fur siblings just don’t seem to respect the fact that I am the one responsible for all these tasty snacks. Maybe they are all too spoiled?
Yum! Those look good! The tripe would definitely be of interest to us. Is it green tripe?
We wanted to order the tripe, but it was out of stock, so I’m not sure. We are going to order it as soon as they have it again.
Allie: Oh Emma, I can sooo sympathize with the whole “hijacking” thing. I have two bratty brothers who insist on doing this at every opportunity. Although, I am not sure I can say that Bert was wrong to test out something that looks so yummilicious!
Siblings really can be a pain sometimes! The thing is that I’m a dog and have to share all my dog treats with my two dog sisters, and then I had to add a cat too? There is hardly anything left for me. Cat bro Bert thinks he is a dog which is sometimes a problem. He is always stealing and using my stuff.
That Bert is sure a sneaky one, isn’t he? I forgot to put the pan away after making scrambled eggs this morning, and guess who was helping himself to the dirty pan? Beamer! You just can’t trust those naughty cats.
I love the sound of treats that have only one ingredient!
Bert would have been in the eggs too. He is into Mom’s food when she just turns around. He I would say, is a serial food thief. Worse than any dog in the house!
Those treats look yummy! I bet they are really handy to have in a houehold with cats and dogs because they seem like a healthy snack for both species. I love the picture of Bert in the box. His eyes look like they are trying to hypnotize you into buying more treats 🙂
Sophie wasn’t interested, but anything that is in the category food is something Bert will eat. The guy is obsesses with food. Even his food bowl has a block in it to slow down his eating. He eats any kind of dog treats and even gnaws on our bones and antlers sometimes.
My guys loved the Dr. Tim’s!
We are super huge official fans now too!
BOL that was great Dr. Emma! Bert you are too cute also. Love all the pictures and great review!
Thank you! Chewy.com is awesome to be selling such yums and Dr. Tim is awesome to be making them!
Emma, so glad you finally got your Dr. Tim’s treats! I got Dr. Tim’s tripe this month that I still need to review…but boy, are they yummy! I bet the beef ones are super yummy too…since even cat bro Bert dove right into them. By the way, tell Bailie I said she looks too cute (and a bit silly) working her “delivery” job (and some delivery dog she is if she steals everyone’s packages)! Happy Tuesday.
Oz
Bailie and Bert are both food thieves, which makes my life tough, defending my stuff! We wanted to order tripe but they were out, so we will have to check back and order them. We are using them for nose work rewards and it is pawsome stuff for that!
How cute! When you said your review was hijacked, I thought you meant someone copied your post without permission. But I get it now! 🙂
Lots of stuff could fall under hijacked, but it was nothing too serious thank goodness!
I cook up my own beef hearts. 🙂 I season with a little garlic powder and then bake like a roast. Once the heart cools, I cut it up and freeze some and use the rest for treats. They work great for recall training!!
I remember, I think you did a post on that a while ago. I’m pretty crazy about these and they are real easy to carry for nose work…without the hassle of cooking/baking. We want to order the tripe actually, but they were out, so we are going to get that next.
Hahaha, is there any packaging that is fool proof from cats??? 😀
I doubt it. They are such nuisances!
