It’s Labor Day weekend my friends! Labor Day is sort of the last hurrah of summer, before we all get back to our more serious lives. For this reason, Bailie and I decided to borrow Gramma’s super cool wheels and head out to rent a summer house for some R & R. The sun was reflecting terribly on the windshield, thus the white patches in the photo.
First we looked at a log cabin summer house. It was not bad, but it had a telephone which means we could be disturbed and the roof appeared to be sagging a bit. I thought we should check out another house or two before we made a decision.
We decided to rent the second summer house we saw. It isn’t much, but it is a shelter and keeps the elements off our furry heads. It seems a bit safer than the log house too. That is me you see peaking through the door window. Mom told us to never open the door unless she is home, so I’m kind of hiding out in here. Bailie heard something outside the house and got scared, leaving me to check it out.
I don’t hear or see anything, so I decided to get a better look out the front window. It sure looks like a nice day out there. I think we are safe and should get out and do some racing around. Enough time spent at the computer with my blog!
I would like to offer you one of my favorite quotes that has to do with “labor”. For Bailie and I, our jobs are nose work and tracking, but we never consider it to be real work because we love it so much, so this quote really says how we feel:
“Choose a job you love,
and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend!
