Obviously, Katie, Bailie, and I are girls and we do like to look good. Our number one fashion choice is a nice collar. We have well over fifty collars, but a couple weeks ago, to our horror, we had nothing to wear! We change collars every couple weeks since they get dirty, or an occasion is over, but Mom looked through all our collars and said we had nothing to wear! Katie tends to wear the collars that are real girly and pastel, I wear more red/black, and Bailie gets browns and purples.Β I guess we were just bored with what we had. We all wear the same collar size, Mom just adjusts the length depending on the dog.
Since Mom is a collar nut, this wasn’t a huge issue. She loves getting us new collars. We just went online to our favorite store and ordered some new collars. We love Up Country, Inc., and have been getting their collars for years. We have a few other brands, but Up Country is our favorite place to shop.
While shopping, Mom realized we only have two Halloween collars and that holiday is coming up fast. Last year Bailie was too little to have a special collar, so we only needed two. Of course, we found the perfect one to order, and I get to wear it this year – yay!
Katie has quite a few collars and isn’t in dire need, but Bailie has a small selection since she hasn’t been wearing big girl collars all that long. Mom wanted to get her something in purple, but couldn’t decide and ended up ordering her two new collars.
Bailie and I are both really happy with our new collars and can longer growl about having nothing to wear. I think they all look good with our fur too.
The last thing I wanted to bark about is storage. If you have lots of collars, harnesses, or leashes, try a belt hanger to keep them stored in an orderly fashion. We have one belt ring that holds leashes and collars we never wear, and this fancy one with five rings. It makes it super easy to get the collar you are looking for off the hanger and keeps them all in site without using up a lot of space. You can get these kind of hangers at storage stores or any store that sells hangers and closet supplies usually carries them.

That’s a great idea for storing collars! You’re new ones are really cute. I wouldn’t be able to choose between those two purple ones either π I’ll have to check out that store. I’m happy with Sadie’s Halloween collar, but I need to find one that is special for Thanksgiving.
They have at least one collar for every holiday. I love their stuff.
We have our own dresser for all of our collars! I think the ones your mom chose for you are really cute and I hope you get a lot of compliments on them when you wear them out!

A girl needs a good place to store her wardrobe. We have to look good!
Wow that is some collection of collars. We only have four sets. See how neglected I am.Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
My mom is over the top with collars and stuff. We also have our collars just for nose work with matching harnesses and leash lines and Bailie has her tracking set.
that is a lot of collars – we just have one each – which we hardly ever wear. They are a rolled leather collar – the only kind we long furs can wear without matting our coats. Those are some pretty designs you have.
That is a bummer. We’ve never had issues with matted fur from collars, but then again we are girls and we need variety in a wardrobe.
Such cute collars! Especially love that Halloween number. You’ll rock it, Emma!
I’m excited for October so I can start wearing it!
I remember that Bailie had the green squirrel collar on at BlogPaws. Jon Farleigh (so I dress him in girly colors, so what?) wears that collar every day when he’s in the yard (it’s his leisure collar, you could say). π We have a few Up County -so cute! But not nearly as many as you (wow)! I’d get more, but they tend to disappear in the corgi neck fur and no one gets to see how pretty they are. π
Ours disappear a bit too, but Mom is nuts for collars and doesn’t care. I love the squirrel one too, but we still have to rotate around so we don’t get bored with it!
What a great collection of clothes, and a cool way to store them! You sound like the mom…”I have nothing to wear!” …like that could ever happen! I inherited Maggie’s collection of scarves, but the mom has not had me wear one yet because of my love to chew. I do still have a bow in my hair from going to the groomers on Monday, XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I have quite a few bandanas, but they get wet and dirty way to easily. Collars that we can toss in the washing machine and air dry are the best!
What a fabulous supply of collars you guys have!! We would love to raid your closet!! Love the new ones!! We will check out that place!! Thanks
We definitely have a good supply, but then there are three of us sharing them too. We love their fun designs.
Great idea with the belt hanger! We have our share of collars and leashes, but not quite that many!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
The belt hanger is a real life and space saver.
We love your idea for storing collar and leashes but we are so impressed and jealous of ALL those collars! Wow!!!
Some of them are like 15 yrs old, but we get a lot of new ones each year. Mom loves new ones.
You girls are real fashionistas! I love all the collars – poor Jack and Maggie only have 2-3…I’m really slacking.
I think for Mom it is almost a hobby. At least 10 or so are only for specific holidays, and then we have the ones we wear more than others.
Hmm, I shouldn’t have showed the gang this post – now they’re saying they’re mistreated and that the doggy fashion police might launch a complaint against me. They want me to go shop for them. LOL!
Yeah, we kind of go overboard with collars. It could be worse if we had matching leashes, but Mom isn’t real particular about leashes.
Beautiful collars! I often want fight the battle of ‘that collar is adorable’ versus ‘they have so much fur no one can see it any way’ π
That is Katie’s problem, but her collar is a bit looser so it shows a bit more and Mom thinks she needs fancy collars as much as any of us.
We’re so jealous! We don’t have a very good variety of collars, and I really need to get shopping! Cricket got a new one for her birthday, but that’s been about it. We definitely need to get more, and then get organized like you are too….great idea with the belt hanger!
The belt hanger is a lifesaver! It helps that we can all wear the same size, but we each have a couple collars that are just for us specifically. We love looking good and putting on a fresh collar every couple weeks.
Fifty collars and nothing to wear!? You guys should be front row at fashion week with all those styles you have.
I know, we are overboard, but we are girls…that should cover it.
I love your new collars, especially the Halloween one! Too cool. And that storage idea is awesome!
Thank you. I can’t wait until October so I can wear it!
Thanks for joining the blog hop Emma!! Wow, you sure have a lot of collars!! We don’t have a lot at our house. Sampson and Delilah each have a flat buckle collar that is in our emergency bag. Then they have one for every day wear. Delilah has a Coach leather collar that someone gave me and I keep that for special occasions. They also have little loose collars for in house wear, but I haven’t been using them lately. That’s it. I think we are slackers. :-0
You’ve got me thinking now. π
Mom has always loved fun collars, kind of a hobby I guess, and we benefit. She feels bad if we go out and don’t have a nice collar on.
Very pretty new collars. Love the Halloween one. I also like your idea about how to store them. We use a rack mounted to the wall, but we only have a few of them…lol.
Thanks for joining the Barks an Bytes hop!
It works for leashes and harnesses too, but it depends on if you have just a few or a ton.
My dear girls, your mom is truly awesome! I being a MAN dog have many, many TIES, but only four or five collars. I think the holder idea would really help organize my clothing trunk. I will speak to my mistress about this bold idea of your straight off! Yours Truly, Chablis
Oh yes, you have to keep your belongings organized!
you are probably related with my momma…she always has to go naked because she has nothing to wear and that would lead to complaints from my neighborhood, so she has to stay at home. naked.. the idea with the belt ring is brilliant. we will do that too, because I’m a dog who has nothing (totally nothing) to wear too. many thanks for this tip! Oh and the howl-o-ween collar is the best collar I ever saw!
I love that Halloween collar, can’t wait to wear it. Glad to help with the belt hanger tip!
Mom keeps all of our leashes and collars on a hanger in the laundry room. It makes it so easy to grab one. Being a guy, I don’t have a ton of collars, but we have bandannas for every occasion. *It’s the one thing that Mom can sew! βΊ I love your Halloween collar. β₯ Your Basset, Bentley
I have lots of bandanas too, but I don’t wear them much as they get dirty and wet so easily. We girls need pretty collars to look good for all you boys!
Emma, those new collars are so cute!! π
Thank you. We are quite happy with them.
Great new collars, especially the Halloween. I’ve been starting to think about Halloween too, but Dad says its too early !!
The collar is the only Halloween thing until the beginning of October, but I need to be ready.
When we got Aspen we thought he would come with a small thin masculine collar. We were surprised to see the tiny puppy in a thick red one as thick as Mica’s. however as fast as he is growing and a strong as he is getting it would have broken long time ago. We will just stick with the strong one for now. BTW he went to the vet Tues. and is very healthy, got his last shots and weighted 54.6 lbs!!!!
Growing like a weed! Puppy collars never last long, so he may as well have a big boy one if it fits.
WE Love your huge collection of LOVELY Collars… and that is a grrrrreat way to store them.
Thank you. We love to look good.
Those are sure fancy and classy!
Thanks…they make them for kitties too.
I hate it when I can’t find something to wear! I love the new collars guys. Especially that Halloween one! The other 2 girly ones are also very pretty…
Bailie is pretty girly, so they fit her and I love my new one!
Can you say spoiled? I only get to wear ONE collar! My pal Stella has a collar that you just swap the decorative part, I am going to have to find out where she gets that since I’m not as lucky as you girls! Love Dolly (Pees: I do seem to have a lot of leashes though they don’t wear out!)
I guess collars are a hobby for Mom. She just loves to buy them and over the years they accumulate. We have quite a few leashes too, but they never seem to wear out, and we only really use a couple of them.
Those are cute!
Thank you.
Beautiful new collars and love the storage idea. Thank you so much for your camera tips, they really helped out.
The storage idea is really great. Mom is not a photographer by any means but she is improving with practice. Good luck and try practicing in low light at home. It took a long time before she started using mainly manual mode for our photos but these days it works most of the time. For work she is still too chicken to use it when she photographs homes.
You have fifty collars!! OK, I’m seriously lacking in the collar department and have to have words with the human!
I know, we are a bit over the top in the wardrobe department!
Wowzers! Fifty?!??!?!? We’re sooooooooo glad our mom doesn’t get into the “dressing up kitties” thing. WHEW, dodged THAT one!
Funny, my kitties run naked all the time too π
We luffs collars – I have about 15, but there is only me. We love tags too – we got some new ones this week that you can see on our blog – swarovski’s, glitter and everyfink. Hooman is obsessed π
Sounds like lots of bling on those tags! Mom is only obsessed with collar, not leashes or tags, but 15 collars is a good number for one dog!
Fun! I love buying Maya new collars. She usually gets lavender colors. I know two people who make dog collars and so I alternate ordering between them. I also occasionally get a nice beaded collar from classy-critter. I get Pierson new collars too, but usually nothing fancy since you can’t see them through his long fur.
Our collars need to be durable and washable. Nothing beaded or fabric. Sometimes they hide under our fur too, but Mom doesn’t care, she still likes to buy them.
