Okay, admit it! You were all expecting one of those little ground squirrel critters that I would love to hunt, not me, little Emma! I’m hoping to get some squirrels to my blog today with that title! I’m a bit concerned as it is Sunday and this church appears to be closed??? Where is everyone? I wanted to howl along with the congregation as they sing.
Since I always look so small, I have a close up of myself in my prairie dog bonnet. The place Mom found had a whole town set up, so we spent some time there and took lots of photos the other day. I will be posting more later in the week for our National Walk Your Dog Week Celebration. If you haven’t heard about it yet, click on the link for all the info! Have a serene Sunday!
I amΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Sometimes photos are simply more fun in black and white.
Lovely photo!
Thank you.
You look so cute with the bonnet. Seems like a cover photo for a book: Little Dog House on the Prairie.
Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats.
I smell a post with a similar title coming up during our #DogWalkingWeek challenge π
We love the bonnet, Emma! That looks like a cool place, can’t wait to see more photos of it. Happy Sunday!
We had a lot of fun with all the old stuff.
Oh my, Emma…BOL. You are “Little Dog on the Prairie” in these photos. Too cute! Happy Sunday.
Oz
Stay tuned for my post later in the week with that very title π
Those are sure fun photos Emma!
You know me, all about silly fun.
I really hope you are doing something with all these pictures. A line of greeting cards. A great Easter card.
We need connections. So far no luck with a board book for kids or greeting card companies. Maybe some day. For now, they just take up most of the hard drive on our computer!
You look pretty cute in you prairie hat Emma.
Thank you π
Emma you look like a great “Little dog on the prairie”! But I guess that you would look good in anything. Look forward to seeing all of your dog walking photos!
Geez, everyone has already mentioned the title of my post later in the week, oh well. Being a MN dog now, it comes naturally with the prairie thing.
Oh my goodness! If you don’t make the cutest little prairie dog girl. You would look perfect next to me in my sheriff uniform. The old west would really be wild with the two of us. XXOO Your Basset, Bentley
Wait until my post later in the week in front of the jail, it would be a perfect backdrop for us!
Love the bonnet! It suits you nicely.
It almost fits into some of your meetups in those old places. Trying to look like an old fashioned dog isn’t easy.
We now are reminiscing re Little House On The Prairie. Have a serene and easy Sunday.
Best wishes Molly
You know it took place just a couple hours from where I live…in Walnut Grove. They have a big festival every summer out there, but no dogs…maybe if I wear my bonnet they wouldn’t notice I’m a dog?
Oh, Emma, how do you always look so perfect in your many hats and bonnets? Yes, you look like you are at the Little Dog Church on the Prarie. The mom says while you are at the church to pray for me because I am into high gear on my paper/cardboard shredding naughtiness. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
You and Bailie! What is up with that shredding? I never did that as a pup, I just chewed on a rug, but the same rug until I was almost 3. Try to have a good girl day today.
I remember this place, I always would live there together with Laura and Mary and Nellie… nah wait, not with Nellie she is a mean thingy…run, Emma, when you see her….
I will wait until I find a good mud puddle to roll in and then jump all over Nellie…nasty Nellie!
Grace. You meant Grace. Yes, Little dog house on the prairie. One of my favorite childhood series! The bonnet becomes you Miss Emma!
My mom read all the books, watched the TV show, etc. Walnut Grove is just a couple hours from our house. They have a big festival every summer, but no dogs, so I didn’t go, but Mom’s cousin took her daughter this summer and loved it.
You look adorable in your bonnet!
Thank you π
Great hat Emma! Mom’s aunt has one like it, she worked at the Pioneer Village in Nebraska for years. She’s 91 now, but her and my grandma were real prairie girls! Love Dolly
It seems like many little girls have a prairie girl phase. I think I may have just entered mine!
Lovely church π for sure you guys had lots of FUN on your walk. Golden Woofs
It was a really fun place to visit and take pics.
That hat is priceless!
Thank you…not sure what it cost.
Emma, maybe your next book should be titled “Little DOG on the Prarie”!
That is the title of one of my posts later this week, not sure about a whole book!
Emma, you make the bestest little prairie dog!
Thank you…now don’t get any ideas about hunting me π
We love your bonnet. You are obviously ready for church
Lily & Edward
All fancied up in my Sunday best furs!
So adorable! Are you Emma Ingalls Wilder? I seem to remember reading about her. π
I could fit right in with their family I think.
Aw!! that is adorable!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
π
It is harvest season so maybe all those prairie church parishioners are working?
I do think I may have seen some outstanding in their fields on the way over there!
Emma, you’re so cute!!! I love your bonnet!
Thank you, the prairie look just fit.
That is a cute church. Love the bonnet. Kind of goes with the online class Jodi and I are taking about Laura Ingalls Wilder. π
Well you will love my post later this week then too! Walnut Grove is just a couple hours from here. They have a bunch of big stuff going on every summer. They don’t allow dogs, so we haven’t gone, but we found something similar to visit.
Aww so adorable! You look good in a bonnet Emma. Also that church looks lovely in black and white. Good choice for the B&W Sunday hop.
My Sunday dog best! The church is black and white in color too, LOL!
Lovely effect with the black and white and the hat!
Funny too as the church is black and white!
