I have a tale to tell about Cowgirls, A Horse, And Big Red Riding Hood. You may recall this photo was in black and white yesterday. Now to introduce the cast of characters.
Of course, I’m starting off with myself, Emma the GBGV cowgirl.
Meet GBGV cowgirl Bailie. She is more of a cowgirl fashionista with all her accessories!
Last but not least, big red riding hood, relative of little red riding hood.
Our horse was not feeling well. I’m not a veterinarian, and did not know what to do to get him up and galloping again.
At this point I thought it might be serious, so I called in Katie the horse whisperer. I bet you never knew Katie had such a special talent. She communicated with the horse and determined he was really hungry. As a puppy in Germany, she hung out with lots of horses and was fascinated with them. She got in a lot of trouble for chasing them, but she learned to communicate with them.
Big red riding hood was called in to bring nourishment for our horse. She showed up with a basket full of fresh apples and carrots. Once he has some food, he felt much better and couldn’t wait to get moving again.
Bailie was ready to get the show on the road and happily saddled him up so we could ride.
I asked one more time if he was all set for me to get on and ride.
He was galloping along but I was not happy as he was not going fast enough for me. I told him right in his ear to get moving!
Finally it was Bailie’s turn to take a ride. It was obvious that she lived around horses as a tiny puppy because she was completely at ease with the horse.
And that is the tale of Cowgirls, A Horse, And Big Red Riding Hood!

Thanks, we love our hats.
What a fun story!
We had fun.
They look so cute in those hats!
Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats.
We are hat girls at our house.
That was fun and we so loved the story and the great pix. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
What a fun day !love the horse.
He was a nice horse.
what a great tale! I’m glad the evil wolf-guy was away as Red Riding Hood brought the carrots and the apples to the horse. Have a super monday dear Cowgirls! btw: I met a cousin of Katie on saturday, it was the first time I met a kuvasz in the furs, she was very nice to me and she sends a big kiss to Katie :o)
There aren’t many Kuvasz out and about since they are usually guard dogs and not real friendly, but Katie is an exception and I guess the one you met too. Had the wolf come around, Katie says she would have “taken care of it”.
thank goodness red was there to save the day and feed that little horse
We really lucked out there!
You girls sure have a lot of fun. Ride ’em cowgirl!
Horse back riding can be pretty fun.
Oh my goodness that’s so much fun. I love the red riding hood tale, and I must say I’m quite impressed with Katie’s horse communication skills. Who knew the horse was just hungry.
Katie was amazing with that horse, we were lucky she was there to help!
LOL..Love the hats. And I’m glad it all worked out OK.
Thanks, we love the cowgirl look.
Emma, I loved this entire story. Too cute for words!
Thank you. Too bad Harley wasn’t around to help us out with the horse!
You guys make quite the frontier family!
We are ready for anything!
Absolutely. Adorable.
🙂 Mom thinks we are cute!
Oh my dawg we are cracking up
Lily & Edward
🙂 Most folks need a good smile/laugh on Mondays.
Mom says you have topped yourself with this one! And the hats were PINK! ROTFLOL! Love Dolly
We want to get everyone in a happy mood for the start of a new week.
WHOA NELLIE….. now this is a Super Duper tale fur SURE. Love it… and your super clawstooms also.
I think the horse may have been called Nellie, but we just called her horse 🙂
LOL! The three of you are fantastic. Great story. =D
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
You both look adorable! Great story too 🙂
Thank you, we had a lot of fun with the horse!
That Katie is so talented and beautiful. A horse whisperer! Wow
She is not only older, she is much wiser 🙂
What a great story, and so well illustrated! You and your sisters look like natural cowgirls.
We did pretty well, but our horse was patient.
OMD, those pics are so cute! I love your pink cowgirl hats! I think Rita needs one of those! (At first I thought those carrots were sausages… I wondered why the horse would want sausages and why Katie wasn’t snarfing them down!)
Katie loves carrots, and did want to chow down on them! Check your local Target pet Halloween costume for the hats. I found them by accident. All that stuff is on sale now.
Just when I thought my sweetie could not be any cuter, I see you’re a cowgirl! ♥ ♥ ♥ I am so impressed that you can ride a horse!! Your Basset, Bentley
A girl needs to be ready for anything you know 😉
Now ya gotta know that I would love those hats too!
You would need a tiny kitty one, though.
Hi Y’all!
Good think y’all had a “horse whisperer” with you!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Who knew Katie had such talent!
I’m glad you solved the riddle of the horse! And your outfits are adorable.
Thank you. Bailie really got into it. Not sure all her pattern matched with her fur, but she didn’t seem to care!
Pawsome! Ride ’em cowgirls! I could sink my teeth into that horsey, and, um, the mom says I would ride him in a censored manner. 😉 XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Mom went inside and left the horse outside with us alone. Bailie and I attacked him and dragged him into the bushes but just then Mom came back and saved him, LOL!
That was quite an adventure. You all were so cute in your cowgirl hats.
Millie & Walter
Sometimes girls need a bit of horsing around!
you sure do make the BEST cowgirls, or cowdogs I suppose!!!
Always such beautiful poses for the camera too!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I think cowgirls is a better name since we don’t look too much like the cowdog breed. We love doing photos 🙂
What a lovely story and wonderful cast of characters, Emma! Ride’em cowgirls!
We had a good time. Now we need to travel to the wild west since we are ready!
Crack me up you gals rock!
Hopefully we put a smile on everyone’s Monday faces!
Y’all are just da cutest!
Thank you my friend.
Sounds like a lot of fun and Mom loved the pink cowgirl hats. We Newfs were with horses out first 8-9 wks. But we don’t remember and there are none near us.
You all would need some larger hats and a bigger horse. We have seen those real big ones, but only Katie has had dealings with them.
OMD Emma!!! You girls are TOO CUTE! I love your cowgirl outfits. I don’t know if I could behave around a horse.
Oz
Oh, we were just horsing around, you know.
Holy CAT! You girls sure do know how to RIDE!
Oh yeah! Go horsey go!
These are the cutest pictures!! Love that you got all the girls to be such good sports on the photo shoot!!
Bailie and I love to do photos. Katie is the one that usually refuses to cooperate!
You guys are too cute in your pink cowgirl hats!!!!! Love it!
Thank you, we had a fun time.
So so cute! I’m glad Horse Whisperer Katie was able to help your horse!
We were pretty lucky she was there to help!
You guys are just adorable!! I had no idea you were cowgirls! You rock the hats! 🙂
I hope you’re having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
My sisters and I dabble in a bit of everything I think!
Babuska dogs are quite popular this couple of weeks! 😀 Katie is on trend! 😛
We noticed that too!
