Aren’t the squirrels fun to watch though? We love watching the tree rats! They are rather pesky though!! xo Chloe and LadyBug
I just want to catch them. My whole body trembles when I have to just watch!
You can do it Emma!
I have to learn to climb trees, there is just no other way!
I have seen dogs who learned to climb trees. Maybe it’s time for you to start looking for tips on YouTube.
I might have to ask cat bro Bert for some climbing tips.
That looks exactly like my Katie. Always trying to climb a tree!
I hold on tight and jump with all my might but can’t get up the trees. So frustrating.
Go up Emma, go up!
I sure wish I could figure out how to get into a tree!
Maybe a ladder would help?
Now that is a good idea. I could try that.
If you figure it out, you’ll have to teach Mauja. She’s always trying as well.
I haven’t met a dog yet that can get up a tree, so I may have to ask my cats for help.
Go, Emma! My squirrel hunting instincts have not begun yet. The mom says we have lots of squirrels, but I just have not noticed them…yet. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Bailie was slow on getting interested too, but once she noticed them she is non stop and it makes Mom nuts!
Go Emma go!
I’m trying!
Emma, you look pretty determined! Those squirrels better be on their guard.
I’ve come within inches a few times, so I know I will get one some day, but it is not an easy task!
Just to torment dogs, that’s what squirrel are all about.
You got that right, rotten critters!
Maybe you should try the fermented pumpkin trick – we saw on You Tube squirrels that were eating pumpkins that were fermented and they were drunk as skunk – gue the kunk was eating it too π π π
That would be an excellent idea, then they wouldn’t be able to escape so quickly being “drunk” on pumpkin.
Those pesky squirrels are driving Pierson nuts. The squirrels around here are everywhere. We probably have 10 or more living around our yard alone. Pierson almost climbed a tree on our walk the other day to catch a brazen one.
Yep, they are all over the place and making us wild!
I love the look of a working pup. Just complete laser like focus on the prize.
Sadly, the prize slipped away, but I will get a tree rat one of these days!
Go Emma!
I’m trying but the squirrels are still winning!
HAHA! My huskies have been trying to figure out how to climb trees, and can’t for the life of them!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
So frustrating, isn’t it! Cats can do it, why can’t dogs?
did ya get it?
Unfortunately, no, they always get away!
Those pesky tree rats!!
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
They are awful creatures but I can’t help but want to catch them.
Get a ladder or a rocket pack. You can also hope they get rowdy and fall. They drive Pierre insane. Hee hee! Your Basset, Bentley
They irritate the heck out of me, but Bailie really can’t control herself! I like the rocket idea, but it might be best for Bailie to test it out first!
Yeah, we’ve got a lot of those little guys around here right now too!
They are driving us really crazy!
Didja catch any? Didja? Huh?
No, I need some cats to climb the trees and chase those pesty tree rats down to me π Know any cats???
Mr. N tries to climb trees sometimes. He met a rabbit the other day and I was afraid he was going to go under the fence with it.
Wabbits are easy, I kill those all the time because they can’t climb. Squirrels are just mean.
Get that pesky rodent!!! π
Some day I will capture one!
I bet if there were some low branches on that tree you’d give it a try, Emma! Cricket climbed up a tree once to retrieve her ball.
Mom is amazed at how I can jump and hug a tree, but no luck getting very high up.
Those squirrels live to annoy you dogs!
It is truly a life time torture. One day I will capture one and teach it a lesson.
Here they are always on the deck eating our bird seed. They are slow to leave because they want another mouthful. I bet you could catch one if those Emma.
They sit on the outside window sill of MY front window and stare me in the eyes knowing full well I can’t get through the glass. So very mean!
I usually chase those little buggers up the tree (some call me the birdfeeder police)- it’s BIRDseed, not SQUIRRELseed! π Go get em!
They are cruel and mean to dogs and thieves as well. I have to figure out how to catch them.
I keep tryin to figure out how to climb those trees.
Me too, but it just is not working out.
Squirrel days can be fun and frustrating!
Sure would be more fun if I caught one!
I think we should make a law that trees cannot be allowed to grow any taller than six feet and they MUST have lots of thick branches that are spaced so the we CAN climb them – my predecessor used to sit in my grandparents dwarf fruit trees and on top of his dog house – like snoopy does.
Chablis
That would be helpful. Mom wanted to get me a dog house so I could sit on top of it, but then decided it was just a silly idea, so I never got one.
Did you get ’em Emma?!!! Those squirrels…they drive us NUTS! BOL!
Squirrels are cruel and ruthless.
Were you able to coax him down? Somehow I doubt it; that method had yet to work for Laika. Do you look up at the trees after seeing a squirrel during walks? Laika does it and it cracks me up – she doesn’t pull or lunge but she just stares upward as we’re quietly walking along. What is it about squirrels anyways? They’re the most intriguing creature for canines.
I do stop all the time and look up at them. Lots of times they are chanting rude things at me in squirrel language. I just have to catch one some how, some day!
You need a ladder, Emma! Or maybe a slingshot!
LOL! I would love a slingshot, but that might be tough with the paws, I might try a ladder.
Cute picture, I’m sure you will get that tree rat if you wait long enough.
I’ve come so close so many times, I know one day I will succeed.
Someone should really make an invention for that…
I know.
If you figure out how to climb, Ellie wants to know how you did it. She’s been trying to climb trees to get them, but she’s really not good at it. lol
Become your inner cat! We know you can do it!
And we’ll never tell any dogs. No way.
I try and try, but just can’t make it up the tree.
It’s annoying how they always disappear up a tree!
I think they are up for the rudest animal in the world award!
Just ignore those squirrels, Emma,,,they are rude !
I can’t ignore them and they cause me to get in so much trouble. I know I will capture one some day.
If I knew I’d be rich! Love Dolly
Isn’t that the dog gone truth!
