All Aboard!
Yep, it’s me, Emma and I found the Chattanooga Choo Choo! What do you think, not bad for a scent hound born in the UK!
As I have mentioned we were going on vacation and to go on vacation we have to drive and to get to Florida, we have to spend the night somewhere which explains how we found our furry selves in Chattanooga at the Historic Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel!
It is not easy finding a hotel that allows pets, let alone three dogs, one of which is 80lbs, but Mom stumbled onto this hotel and thought it sounded like a fun place! For $35 extra, you can have up to four pets in your room! It is a super cool place. They turned the old train depot into a huge hotel complex. The entrance to the depot is also the hotel entrance – very regal!
It is a beautiful old building with gorgeous windows. They have done a great job of preserving it!
Just outside our room was an old caboose. The three of us posed for a photo. Katie didn’t want to walk around the whole place with us, so it is the only photo we have with her at the hotel.
It was really cold out as we left for Florida during the cold snap, so there was frost on the ground in the morning and even the pretty fountain with running water was partially frozen!
Do you want to know what the most cool thing is with this hotel? You can actually book a room in a train car and spend the night in a train car! That option was slightly more expensive and since we were just staying for a short night, we did not give it a try, but how fun would that be!
The hotel is built on the whole station area, so there are train tracks and train cars all over the place. It was really cool to see!
Even though no trains were moving on the tracks, Bailie and I kept our eyes open, just in case! If you ever find yourself in Chattanooga, we recommend giving this Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel a try. It is something truly out of the ordinary.
PS: At night, it has a huge sign, way up in the air in red with a steam locomotive and moving wheels. We couldn’t get a shot of it because you would need to take it from far away to see the whole thing.
That’s it for train depot mischief. I am joining the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies.
You girls take the best vacations! This place looks like so much fun. I’ve made a note of the name because I’d love to stay there. Wouldn’t it be fun to stay in one of the RR cars?!
Mom and dad have been and stayed there before – it is such a neat place isn’t it.
It is so interesting and awesome you can have up to four pets in a room!
Reheat a cool place. Would love to give it a try.
It is so different, but really nice and huge too!
What a cool hotel you found, Emma! I didn’t know they made the old train station into a hotel…complete with trains and tracks and all! I hope you are having a safe trip to Florida.

We are back home now. They just kind of froze time at the train station and built the hotel on what was standing there it seems like. Such a fun idea.
Wow, what a fun vacation! Love that train and I would have been wanting to go swimmie in that fountain fur sure. BOL OMD my Mom’s singing “Pardon me boy” and swinging her finger in the air. Yikes! She’ll be stuck with that song in her head all day now. BOL
Have a super time!
Grr and Woof,

Well that fountain and water was pretty much frozen, so not good for swimming although Bailie did want to try, but Mom caught her!
Very cool, what a great place to stop for a visit. Thank you for sharing your stop!
Thanks! Love to share fun, dog friendly places.
What an awesome place to stay! The icicles on that fountain look pretty neat too.
It was fun since they don’t usually have such cold weather, things were really frozen that shouldn’t really freeze!
How awesome! We never even seen no train before. Next thing we know you will be the conductor
Lily & Edward
No, I don’t think I would like to actually work on one, but it was fun.
Y’all sure do get to see lots and lots of fun stuff!
Mom is big on having us get lots of experiences.
That hotel sounds fun! I know how hard it can be to find a dog friendly hotel, especially with 3 huskies! That would be quite a cool experience staying the night in one of those train cars too!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Up to four pets per room, so you all would be good to stay there!
Way cool! That place looks pawsome. The mom does fun stuff without me. Yesterday she went to Disney’s Hollywood Studio just to see the Osborne Family Christmas Light Show. She also ate at the Brown Derby. I had to stay home. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
That is a bummer, maybe when you grow up a bit more you can tag along.
Finding a pet-friendly hotel can sometimes be a bit more effort, but I find you’re often rewarded with cool off-the-path destinations you would have otherwise missed. Safe travels.
It is not always easy, that is for sure. Mom loves Drury Inns, they are nice and there is not pet charge and no problem with the three of us either.
Wow what a cool hotel! I told mom to make a note of it. We like to go on road trips too so this might be in our future. Glad you had fun! your doodle friend Dash
As a traveling dog, I recommend this one and I always recommend Drury Inns. Those are our favorites!
That looks like a great place. I love trains. And It’s thrilling to see how someone figured out a way to save the Chattanooga Choo Choo. 🙂
I’m really looking forward to seeing some sunny Florida pictures. Keep them coming.
It was a great place and huge too! So hard to find good pet hotels on the road for all three of us.
That was one totally cool hotel! Lucky you!
It was amazing!
Oh wow, what a cool place. Love that they’re pet friendly, and love the pictures. That frozen fountain is just crazy – moving water shouldn’t freeze.
What a great find for a pet friendly hotel.
It is great!
I hope it got warmer when you got to Florida!
Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats.
Florida was colder than usual, but warm enough for us. We aren’t into a lot of heat.
You always seem to travel to the coolest places!
Thank you. Mom likes us to get out and see as much of the world as we can.
Pardon me girls…you look cute at the Chattanooga Choo-choo! What a cool place to stay. We think old train cars are awesome! Have fun. XXOO Bentley
You boys would really love it. Super fun and a huge place too!
Sounds like a fun hotel. How cool that they will let you spent the night on a train car!
Hope you have a lovely trip, sounds like you are having a great time already. .
We had a really fun time, but we are always happy to be back home.
THAT is super cool. I would opt to stay in the train car. What fun!!!
We just didn’t do that because we were only there for a real short night, but next time we will.
That looks really cool! This is something my dad would probably love. He’s all into trains and even has his own mini train set in a building on our property.
I’m sure any human that loves trains would be in love with this hotel.
What a cool place! I think your Mom made a great find there. If I ever were to go down that way, I would definitely want to stay there! The fact that they allow four pets in a room is pretty awesome.
Up to four pets in a room which is totally hard to find! There is also a dog area with bags, garbage, etc to use.
What a great place for a vacation! And Florida is sounding pretty good right now.
We are back home and enjoying the invigorating cold now, but Florida was fun.
Hi Y’all!
Oh yes! That’s an historic site and 9 acres! Great place for us pups to stay over.
Y’all come on by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I know, it is huge! We loved it and it was sure something different.
Pawfect place for a little R&R (get it?) Trains are always so much fun. Thanks for sharing the photos Emma, have a blast while you’re out and about!
We had a real nice trip, but now we are back home enjoying the cold and snow and trying to rest up from the whole vacation thing.
Wow that is one big choo choo! Thanks for sharing!!
I found out, trains are real big!
So cool! I didn’t know you were coming to Florida! That’s where we live. To what part of Florida are you traveling?
We were in Fort Myers. We don’t put it online that we are going on vacation and we don’t post about it until we are home. Mom feels that is a safer way to do it.
I agree, it is safer. I hope you enjoyed your stay!
I’ve seen that place! You guys are having an adventure
LeeAnna at not afraid of color… always has to find a dog lovin’ hotel
From the highway at night you can see that red choo choo all lit up on top of the hotel from a long way away.
What a fun place! Love all the pics. So great that your mom could find a place where you three girls could come along! Well, you’re all such good girls who wouldn’t want you to stay? (Or… well, at least you and Katie are good, right Emma?) ;0)
All three of us are really good travelers. We ride in the car for hours and days without complaining, behave and are quiet in hotels too. Mom had us all traveling at a young age so we learned how to be good at it.
That looks like awesome fun! Mom says she used to go through that general area a lot when her grandma was alive. It would be worth a trip back to stay at such a cool place!
Bunny
It is really a fun find and you can have up to four pets in a room, no size limits either! We thought it was great!
Isn’t there a song about that??
Yes, there is, and it gets stuck in Mom’s head every time we pass through Chattanooga!
How fun did you get a ride? I know mom’s been there a long time ago, before me. Love Dolly
No, we got in late and left early, but we want to go there and stay again one day.
That is super cool! We’ve been through Chattanooga several times and have never seen this place! We’ll have to look for it next time and maybe even spend a night or two. How fun!
It is really awesome, and huge too!
What a super cool place to stay!
Have a fab vacation in the sunshine guys!
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
We had a great trip, but now we are back home to enjoy the winter!
That looks like a fascinating place to stay. I hope you’re having a great trip!
It was a really cool place to stay. The trip was fine, but with poor weather, it wasn’t as much fun as we usually have.
What a fun place. Were the rooms nice?
Because it was a short night, Mom didn’t book a train car room, so we didn’t get to see one of those, but ours was nice. The whole package is amazing, real atmosphere!
