My GBGV Life Emma with Thanksgiving turkeyI have a busy day ahead of me! I have to get this bird ready for the oven and then fix all the trimmings to go along with it. Mom is all hands in the kitchen, so I like to help her out! As you know I love working in the kitchen and I am pretty good at what I do too!

No worries, my sisters and I may get a taste of this bird, but we are looking forward to the gizzards and stuff that we cook up for ourselves. Thanksgiving is definitely a day of drool with all the tasty smells in the house!

I thought today would be a great day to think about some of the things I am grateful for. I will share a few with you below.

  • A wonderful home! There are so many pets that don’t have any home at all and that is so sad. My siblings and I are so loved and lucky to have a roof over our heads and almost anything we could want in life.
  • I’m thankful everyone in my family is healthy. We have all had our issues, but we are so grateful to be in fairly good health.
  • I would never forget all my special friends, meaning my online community fans, friends, and fellow Blogville residents. Who would have thought three years ago when I started my “empire” I would make so many precious friends and have such wonderful support from so many great humans and pets!
  • For a dog, I have experienced a lot, and I’m grateful for my mom and her wanting my sisters and I to get out and experience as much of the world as we can.
  • Wabbits. I am so thankful for those furry creatures, life would be a total bore without wabbits. I am not thankful for squirrels as they tease and don’t play fair with dogs.

Those are just a few things I’m grateful for today, on Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?

I best get to the kitchen and start working on that Turkey!

    Wonderful, wonderful things to be thankful for, Emma. I cannot believe I forgot to put rabbits on my list!!! You know I love to hunt rabbits almost as much as you do!       Happy Thanksgiving to you, your fur siblings and your Mom! You would love it here today, being from Duluth! Four inches of fresh snow, -8, and sunshine! Bailie and I were totally wild on our walk! Cold crispy air makes us nuts.

      I just love to cook. My hope is that I get that bird finishes while Mom naps so I don’t have to share with her! I’m thankful for you, Jones, and wabbit jerky!

      Had to cut our walk short as it was -8, but we did extra yesterday, so I think we can splurge today! Happy Thanksgiving!

      It is a terrible torture, but one I put up with. I actually did steal a bite of the bird today and got my furry behind in some trouble!

    Happy Thanksgiving! We ended up making a whole second turkey! Hope mom will treat us some in appreciation for us staying out of her cooing way – well…I did, Lucy – not so much. You would think she is a puppy, maybe she is in her second puppy hood?? She is 7/24 go, go go – but she is a PBGV, so she can’t help herself.

      I hear the PBGV’s are much more hyper. I’m real mellow unless there is a wabbit or squirrel. I did get in trouble, though as I sneaked in and grabbed a piece of the bird off the counter. Normally I don’t do things like that but I couldn’t resist. Hope you were rewarded for being well behaved!

    Amelia, Wilhelm, Brychwyn and Huxley tried very hard to help in the kitchen yesterday but our kitchen is just too small for all those paws! I am not sure what Leo thought of that giant bird in the oven but he was an oddly quiet and well behaved cockatoo during yesterday’s festivities… hmm… Happy Thanksgiving to you and your whole lovely family Emma!
