It is that time of the year where we have to get our paws on a pen and shoot off a letter to Santa at the North Pole. I’ve been writing my letters for a couple years now, so I have it down pretty well, and I think Santa likes me as I usually get most of what I ask for.
Bert actually had the nerve to show up when we were writing our letters. He has gotten naughtier over the last year not nicer, so he has no business asking Santa for anything. I guess he got the point as he was trying to cover his face with his paw so no one would recognize him in the photo!
Bailie was having some trouble writing her Dear Santa letter on her own, so I had her sit by me under the tree for inspiration and I could also help her out a bit. I thought you all might want to see what we wished for, so below are our letters to Santa.
First I have my letter:
I hope things are well at the North Pole and you have lots of snow this winter. I have been a very good girl this year. I help my sisters, work hard on my nose work, and help out Mom when I can. I don’t have a lot of things on my list, but I hope you can get me what I need.
First of all, I need A LOT of cat repellent. That cat bro Bert is taking over my stuff, mainly my window bed and I can’t get him out! I think if I had some cat repellent, it might solve my problem.
I would also like some new collars from Up Country, my favorite collar store. I have lots of nice collars, as you know, but a girl can never be fashionable enough.
A nice big bone and/or wabbit jerky from Jones Chews would be pawsome!
The last thing I would like to as for is a Kong. I got to try one recently and really liked it. I would like one in my size and maybe in pink if you have one.
As usual, I will leave treats and water out for your reindeer on the 24th. Happy and safe travels!
Love, Emma the GBGV
Next is Bailie’s letter to Santa Claus:
It’s me, little Bailie 🙂 Well, I’m not so little anymore, but still the family baby! You may have heard bad rumors about me but they really aren’t so bad. I’ve tried real hard to be a good girl this past year, but sometimes I am still a puppy and can’t help myself. I mean that banana caper…it was just bananas, and they are healthy for me to eat anyway. The pillows I shredded from Mom’s bed were old and needed to be replaced, so I was just getting the process moving. I did rip and destuff my own bed which I regret deeply. Now I have to try and squeeze into my old baby bed, I wish I had that nice bed back. You see, I wasn’t all that bad, no one was hurt or injured. I do have a couple things on my wishlist for Christmas:
Most of all, I need a new bed for Mom’s office so I don’t have to squish into my baby bed. I promise to leave the new one in one piece!
I would like some new antlers to munch on.
Krinkle toys are my favorites and I barely have any, so I could use some more.
My stuffy supply is a bit thin these days too, so if you could leave a few of those it would be great (preferably with squeakers).
How about some nice bones and chews?
I’m a pretty happy girl, and don’t need much. Hope you can overlook my mistakes this past year! Remember I did get my CGC Title in the summer, so I can’t be all that bad!
Love, Bailie PS: Hugs to your cute reindeer!
Katie said she wasn’t going to write a letter this year. She has what she needs and health is her only wish. She promised, being a Kuvasz guard dog, to guard our letters in the mailbox. She is such a nice and kind big sister!
A funny thing happened yesterday morning. Mom and Bailie were out for their morning run. All of the sudden, three large deer went bounding across the road in front of them, ran through some yards, disappearing in the distance. Bailie had never seen deer before and asked Mom about them. Mom said that the reindeer need to stay in shape for Christmas Eve, and this time of year, they are working on timing and speed to ensure they can get Santa around the world in one night. Bailie was so impressed, she has been watching out the window for the “deer in training” ever since!
My sources at the North Pole Intel Office are telling me that certain elves will soon be giving away cold, hard, cash! I love that green stuff, especially at this time of year! Stay tuned to this blog on Thursday for more details!
