I recently learned something very interesting! I was out playing in the snow in my yard when all of the sudden Santa and his sleigh arrived direct from the North Pole! I couldn’t believe it because it wasn’t Christmas Eve yet! Remember a week or so ago when Bailie and Mom saw the reindeer out training? Well, I guess the reindeer aren’t the only ones training. Santa heard that Chewy.com is known for pawsome customer service and speedy delivery. He decided to team up with Chewy.com to practice his delivery skills for the big night when he travels around the world from the North Pole.
Chewy.com is headquartered in Florida, but they have distributions centers around the country. If you order by 4pm ET on a weekday, your order will ship the same day and with their numerous distribution centers, it will arrive in just a couple days! If you have questions about your order, their friendly customer service staff is available 24/7! Speaking of customer service, this little elf from the North Pole was very friendly and hopped out of the sled to personally give me my package with a big elf smile!
I love Chewy.com and we order all our food and high value treats from them too, but I am a bit concerned that Mr. Chewy may be a bit “sweet” on me. Last month, my package had a “Cuddle Buns” sticker on it, and this month it says “Let’s Nuzzle”. Hmmm…kind of an assuming guy I think. I mean I’m all about snuggling and cuddling, but I haven’t even met Mr. Chewy yet. Maybe he has read my posts and just thinks I am cute???
I took my package inside to keep it from freezing and was really excited to see the Merrick Texas Toothpicks I had selected. Mom wanted me to save them for Christmas, but I howled loudly in protest!
They say lots of things about Texas, like “Don’t mess with Texas”, and “Everything is bigger in Texas”. I do believe everything is bigger. I mean look at a normal toothpick next to one of these Texas toothpicks!
Merrick is known for healthy, quality products and the Texas Toothpicks are no exception! I read the ingredients list, didn’t take long, as there is only one ingredient – beef tail! A few other key points to note:
- Contains a minimum of 50% crude protein
- No artificial colors means less mess when he slobbers
- Satisfying, crunchy and chewy treat
- Good dog treat for healthy gums and teeth
The big question is…did I like them? What do you think from those photos??? Heavenly I would say!
What about Katie and Bailie? I was forced to share my precious treats with them, and they said they were to drool for! Look at Bailie’s crazy dog, obsessed eyes!
Overall, I highly recommend Chewy.com and I really highly recommend Merrick Texas Toothpicks. Christmas is still a week away, so if you get your paws to the keyboard in a hurry, I bet Chewy.com could get your order delivered by Christmas! Please keep your paws off my Texas Toothpicks as I am not sharing! Thank you, Chewy.com and Happy Holidays!
Disclosure: I received one bag of Merrick Texas Toothpicks from Chewy.com to review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review and I receive no additional benefits for barking about the product or the company. The opinions in this review are my own honest opinions.
Because Merrick Texas Toothpicks are mighty tasty, I am joining the Tasty Tuesday blog hop sponsored by Kolβs Notes and Sugar the Golden Retriever. If you are looking for tasty ideas, take a look at what other dogs are baking and eating!
Those are hugh, I like how you compared them to a real toothpick. Great job Emma!
I can’t get them in between my teeth, but they taste so good, it doesn’t matter!
Now yes those do look to drool for. Enjoy. Have a terific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
Very yummy in our tummies!
we just read about these the other day – they look like they would be the most excellent chew
The only bummer is they don’t last long enough, but there are still more in the bag, so I will be alright with that.
That’s a super review, I agree everything is bigger in Texas :o)
Thanks, Easy! I take these toothpicks as positive proof!
Oh, yummm…. If only I could just reach through the computer and grab me one! I gotta go tell the mom about these. Bye! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I’m thankful you can’t stick your paw out and steal one! I have to share with Katie and Bailie and that is more than plenty of sharing for tasty treats!
We just loooovvvvvvvveeeeee Chewy!! Those Texas toothpicks look NOMMY!!
Smileys!

Seriously, has any dog ever gotten something not pawsome from Chewy??? They rock!
Mr. Chewy just rocks! We order a lot of my freeze dried food from them and it is delivered ASAP right to our doorstep! So many pals went for the Merrick texas Toothpicks this time around…and I don’t blame them (or you). Those are some yummy treats and they have the added benefit of being good for your teeth! Excellent review…and so glad to see Santa working with Chewy. π

Santa is no dummy! We love Merrick and chews are one kind of treat we are running low on, thus I chose them this month. We have been getting our Merrick normal food and our high value nose work and tracking treats from Chewy for a couple months now too. Great prices and that bag is dropped right at the door. The 30lbs only lasts us about 3 weeks, so it is much easier for mom to just open the door and bring it in rather than having to drive to the store, buy it, transport it and it costs more that way too.
Oh those do sound great!!!!
Everything is bigger in Texas for sure!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
We drove through a part of Texas last May and even the rain seemed bigger!
These treats sound great, and we love Chewy’s customer service and speedy delivery.
I think Mr. Chewy has a huge crush on you, Emma!
I think he is after me with those “pick up line” stickers π
Emma!! I can’t believe that Santa stopped by — you have the best back yard!! Hey, Mom wants you to know that she Mm ordered lots of stuff from Chewy and then remembered something she forgot to order so she went back online to place that order — Chewy called her like one minute later to say that they wanted to put it all in one order so she could get the free shipping! She was really impressed. And, it was a Saturday night!!! They work hard at Chewy!! Thanks for all of your recommendations!!! your doodle friend Dash
Chewy is really the best. We’ve been ordering almost everything from them now for a couple months. It not only is less expensive than at the store, but it arrives right at the door usually within a couple days. They are a wonderful company! Enjoy your shipment! We are expecting a big order to arrive today, but Mom says we can’t look because there might be Christmas gifts in the box.
It’s a Christmas Miracle! Or a Christmas 16th Miracle, technically, I guess. Either way, it’s a sweet deal to get a special delivery from the big guy.
I don’t being used for testing purposes if Santa is delivering good stuff! We are lucky pups!
Emma, everything really IS bigger in Texas. The mosquitoes, the snakes, the armadillos … I guess even the toothpicks!
I don’t know how they get them in between their teeth unless their teeth are bigger too???
I really love how fast Chewy deliveries are. We’re looking into whether we can arrange shipping to different ports when we move aboard. Since they’re so fast, it looks like a good option.
I bet that would work. They are so reliable, why not?
Holy macaroni you know him personally!

I try to get my furry self around if you know what I mean π
If the toothpicks in Texas are that big, imagine the size of people’s teeth! π
That is hilarious!
That thought is almost too scary!
I’d love those Toothpicks! I’ll ask Mom to fetch me some. If that little delivery dude starts putting the nuzzles on you, let him know that you are my sweetie. Paws Off! βΊ Bentley β₯
He’s got some pretty “sweet” stickers lately, so I don’t know what to think.
Sugar’s package was delivered in just 1 day π I guess an advantage being in the west coast. ENJOY the treats π Happy Tasty Tuesday. Golden Woofs
They have a new distribution center out west, so that is probably why it was so extremely fast.
You sure do have lots of yum fun going on!
If I’m not sawing logs, or playing chase and wrestle, I’m usually working out my teeth π
Obviously you’ve been a very nice girl. I can tell from your hat *and* Santa came to your house early *and* he brought super yummy treats. Well done, Emma! P.S. Of course Mr. Chewy has a thing for you. He has good taste, right? π
I like that he sends me great stuff, no doubts there!
But Emma, you ARE cute. And nice. You deserve sweetness from Mr. Chewy!
Awww…thanks…blushing a bit under my facial fur.
Those Texas Toothpicks are both fun and yummy! Mom bought some at a store for me a while back.
Hugs,
Pepper
Wow, they are almost as big as you are! I bet they last a long time for you!
Wow, so many goodies and it’s not even Christmas yet! I bet Ace would love those Texas Toothpicks. He even has an “uncle” from Texas.
Is his uncle huge? These are real good. They don’t last all that long, but we got some chewing in before they disappeared.
Oh Emma, you’re gonna make Harley open his! We were trying to wait until Christmas eve when the rest of the family arrives, but now I’m not so sure he can hold out. We must have missed out seeing Santa – our bag was on the steps when we came back from a walk. #ohwell Nice post, loved the photos!
Thanks! Mom wanted to wait for Christmas too, but then we thought they looked so good and maybe some friends could still order them and get their own for Christmas, so we cracked them open. No regrets!
I luv Texas Toothpicks, dey’re one of my favorite treats!
They are awesome!
Yummy!! I am so glad that Santa is testing out the distribution network!
Santa is one smart fellow! It seems like things will be running smoothly on Christmas Eve.
Those look tasty! I’m noticing these are a buzz around the Hop today! I’m in the market for some nice chews to keep my chompers and gums healthy, so will keep these in mind!
You would love them. They don’t last as long as a bone, but much longer than a cookie. My sisters and I were real mad we couldn’t eat them all in one sitting, but Mom only allowed us one a piece.
I want some! I want some!!! GIMME GIMME GIMMME!
Lucy PBGV
Yes, you do want some, they are mighty tasty! Get your paws to the computer and order up a package!
Cute, cute cute! (And those look soooo good!)
Thank you, and they are really good…nice and big too!
Those look like a yummy treat. Glad you didn’t have to wait to try them.
They are real good and sort of like a chew too.
WHADDAYA KNOW? Hannukah Harry made a surprise visit to us too!!
Pawsome!
I think Santa visited you already because you’re a lot closer to the North Pole than us! Love Dolly
That was just a training run. He will be back on the 24th he said.
My mom knows toothpicks and she says that’s not one… whatever, as long as they are tasty, who cares!
Elephant toothpicks maybe, but who cares if they are yummy?
