Here I am in week two of the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge. The word of the week is “music”. I love to sing, which Mom calls ordinary howling, but for this challenge I decided to do something different and test my paws out on the old piano keyboard. I apologize in advance that the piano is in the unfinished basement, so some shots have some “ugly” in the background.
Hmmm…what should I play today for all my friends and, of course, Bunny? I have to think about it for a bit. As you can see, I’m taking my concert seriously, and have dressed properly with a nice hat. You can take the GBGV out of England, but you can’t take the England out of the GBGV! I love a nice hat especially with a fancy feather!
I got comfortable to go over my favorite music book. This is the photo I am going to use as my official #52Snapshots #PBSG photo since you all can see the “music” so well.
Time to warm up those paws on the old keyboard a bit before I really let loose and pound out a tune!
Now for the music I have chosen. Oh how nice it sounds on the old piano down in the basement with junk all over to absorb the notes! Music to my long, floppy ears! I may just howl along! Bunny is loving it too!
I leave all you concert goers with a lovely shot of my paw on the piano keys. Anyone out there a piano player? I would be up for a duet sometime if you like!
While listening to me play, why not munch on some tasty Look Who’s Happy Fetch’n Fillets? Make sure you enter to win, click here or on the photo above to enter!
My friends at The Lazy Pitbull had the idea for this 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. Feel free to join in the fun on your blog, and/or social media, just use the hashtags #PBSG and #52Snapshots. If you are up for some photography fun, the more the merrier, come and join us! The linky for the current week will be posted on Friday mornings.
Look at you Emma! You are so talented! We bet you make beautiful music with those awesome paws of yours!
It was loud and beautiful…similar to my howling.
Oh Emma you are the cutest piano player ever! Love the candlestick on the piano, just like Liberace!
Oh I love you. It was something I added to the photo to see if anyone would notice! Good work!
Bi would have loved to see a video so I could have heard you play. I am sure you are excellent!
I didn’t want to damage any ears π Mom says I need a bit more practice time before I start recording.
Good idea, Emma! I bet you make a beautiful sound on those ivories! π I wish we had a piano around here that I could tinker around on like you can!
Just another thing to keep dusted is what mom always says. I spend more time on my singing/howling.
You probably aren’t interested in a duet with a cat, but Soth is my little maestro. He loves going to visit his grandparents and playing for his grandma (especially in the middle of the night when everyone is fast asleep).
Oh heavens, that is not good! I have nothing against cats. I live with two and join their selfie hop often. Bring on the maestro!
Emma you are quite the fashionista and talented one! I never knew you played an instrument as well! We here are not allowed to tickle the ivories ( but Lucy still occasionally will attempt it.; we stick to the djembes – mom has two). Our tails can thump them and create fabulous sounds and rythmns. I marked mine’s case when I first moved in and Mom wasn’t looking.. It still carries a trace of my signature. Smelled pretty bad at Church that first weekend where she plays and sings with tte choir.
Your friend, Chablis
Oh dear, I would never “mark” any of our indoor belongings…I am a true lady dog. As for thumping, thumper is what Mom calls Bailie and I as we thump our tails on the floor, walls, whatever we can find to make thumping noise.
That is so adorable, Emma! I played the piano when I was a little girl but sadly didn’t keep up with it π
Mom was a flute player but I wasn’t interested in following in those pawprints.
What a great music post…I must admit I’ve been struggling with it – I never thought of using our piano…doh! Love the hat Emma.
That is the fun of the challenge…creative thinking. It took us a bit to come up with it as well π Looking forward to seeing what you end up with.
Emma, you are music to my ears! Somewhere the Mom has her flute, and I would probably howl in protest if she tried to play it! I have a beautiful alto howl and a screeching soprano howl which hurts everyone’s ears! You are one classy dame when you tickle those ivories with those lovely paws. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We hounds love a nice tune as you know. Bailie and I together are priceless, ask the neighbors! Mom no longer has her flute, so I don’t have to endure listening to her play.
You look ready to open up a saloon. Bailie can sit on the piano and croon.
OMD! You are brilliant. Bailie howls like a dying cow, super loud, it would be simply magical!
I bet that was music to everyone’s ears.
Oh yes it was. Wonderful noise I had going.
Emma, I didn’t know you were a musician! The piano is one of our favorite instruments. And…you look smashing in that hat, my dear!
Oz
Thank you. I dabble with the ivories on occasion, but really prefer my own signing.
You just sounds fantastic on that piano!!!!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It was lovely. Now I need a singer to help me out, or I could howl along myself I guess!
You are so talented, Emma. My Boo Bear likes to “sing” too, and he looks really hurt when us humans don’t appreciate the high quality sound. The other dogs won’t sing with him, so he sings with any sirens he can hear… I play the bass. π
We all love to sing with the sirens when we are out and about, but Mom is rather embarrassed for some reason. Katie used to have a beautiful howl, but it has gotten a bit hoarse over the years.
OMD Emma…. we had no idea you could play the piano… and you certainly did chews a NICE outfit fur the Pawformance…
I always howl, “it’s not what you do, it’s how you look” π
You are a multi-talented dog, Emma! I can just hear the music now! I used to play piano a bit when I was younger but it’s been a long, long time, and I never got that good (my mother and sister were much better).
I’m good enough for my ears, but not sure about other ears!
Emma you are just too cute and those photos are priceless!
Thank you π
I cannot play, but I am willing to try Chopsticks as a rousing duet! I love, love, love your photos! We are using Saturdays for our 52 week challenge. We are working on our music picture too.
I could see you with a cowboy hat and a banjo! We don’t like to post on Saturdays, so Thursday will be out day usually.
I can’t play. I have tried an organ though and as long as the keys are marked I do okay. π
Come on, don’t be shy…just bang away on those keys and go with it π
I don’t play piano, but I will howl along wif ya.
I can play and all my friends can gather around and howl…wasn’t it the Waltons that did something like that in the evenings?
What great photos! We still need to figure out what our music photo will be!
Thank you. It took a while to think of this one.
I play the piano, Emma, but I’m too embarrassed to sing. Maybe you and Ace could sing a duet together sometime. He loves to howl!
Oh I love to howl, you could play and we could sing along. That would be really fun!
What a talented K9 pianist you are, Emma! Love the hat too π I play the piano & grew up with one, but haven’t been able to add one to our pack since I got married…it’s on my to-do list though!
I definitely prefer singing, but sometimes playing the piano is fun too.
You look fabulous!! Mom said you really made her smile tonight. Good work Emma. Snazzy hat and glasses. your doodle friend Dash
I concert pianist needs to look good, it is part of the package π
Your pictures are fabulous, and clearly, you are a hound of many talents!
Bunny
I love to sniff out a good tune!
Oh these photos are adorable! You are so very creative! Thanks for joining us again! π
Thank you! We are enjoying this. 52 weeks is a long time, but with each week being a new challenge, it will be tons of fun! Thanks for hosting.
Beautiful job on the music theme. Your hat is great!
Thank you! You should have heard my music π
Fabulous photos, Emma. And lucky Bunny has the best seat in the house. Encore, encore!
Bunny is my bestie! He is always near me unless I leave the house in which case he waits at home for me.
Encore, encore! You do play so wonderfully, Emma!
Why thank you π
Emma, you’re too cute! You look like my English auntie in your hat and glasses. I didn’t realize you were so talented on the piano! I’m duly impressed! I think you lulled Bunny into a blissful sleep.
Since I was born in England, I do have a British look to myself π Bunny really enjoyed my little concert. Just wondering, does your auntie have long ears too?
Appaws! Do you play by ear? MOL! You need to take your act on the road.
With ears like mine, everything I do involves them in one way or another!
You are absolutely adorable, Emma, and very talented!
Love ya lotsβ₯
Mitch and Molly
Thank you. I do my GBGV best.
Bet it was a great concert!
Oh, it was beautiful!
I love this! Great pictures! Tori Amos, watch out! hahaha
Thank you. I do make a cute pianist I think.
Wilhelm could play a duet with you Emma! But the few times he has played the piano, he has used all four paws (which some might call walking on the keys) so it might take some practice for him to refine his technique for a duo.
I have to keep the cat away when I play, but I’ve never see a dog attempt a tune with four paws!
A dog that plays the piano, sings and read sheet music too – awesome!
I’m a very talented girl!
What – no video of your piano solo? Love the hat!
A girl needs to look good I always feel.
