If you know me, you know I am a bit crazy about collars, especially the ones from Up Country! My fur was recently tickled pink when Up Country asked me to do a review and giveaway. They have so many collars and leashes to choose from, it is never easy to choose just one. I’ve been dreaming about the Hearts and Flowers collar with a matching 6 ft leash, making it my choice for this review.
My dream came true when I received my new collar and leash in the mail. I could not wait to put it on and try it out on a nice walk. I’m a girl that enjoys being fashionable, as you know. Collars and leashes from Up Country never disappoint! Whether you are looking for something fancy, fun, for a holiday, or an event, they have the right collar design for you! Up Country is a company located just outside Providence, RI, and has been around for thirty years! They do make products besides dog collars and leashes including cat collars and leashes and many other quality pet products.
I just love the design of this set! It is perfect for Valentines season, and it has a bit of Swedish flair. Yes, I’m a French Scent Hound from England and lived in Germany, but Minnesota is full of folks with Swedish heritage and they love Swedish things. It looks great with my fur colors too!
I tested out my new collar and leash set on a nice walk through the woods and it was great. I chased squirrels causing me to pull like a mad dog, but no problem with my new collar and leash holding up!
The collars and leashes from Up Country are super durable for every day use. The ribbon collars are made from high-tensile strength nylon webbing with sewn on polyester/nylon ribbons. The ribbons are stain and fray resistant; designed to last a lifetime. All collar and lead hardware is cast, not welded brass for extra strength. The buckles are Coast Guard approved for high weight hold.
Up Country collars and leashes are machine washable, just let them air dry and they look good as new! After wearing our collars for a few weeks, we put them in a lingerie bag in the washer and hang them up to dry. We have some collars that are over ten years old and still look brand new.
Now for the exciting news! I bet you would love to get your paws on a fashionable collar from Up Country? It is your lucky day as Up Country is giving one winner the collar of their choice! Great review, you look so nice in your new collar and leash. They have a ton of selections.
We have lots of their collars already, but there are always more we want. Just love them.
Molly The Wally says
How very pretty you look and red is such a nice colour for you. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
My calls it racing red since I’m always racing around.
It reminds me a little of switzerland and the alpes… you look like Heidi the little girl from the mountains! that’s a wonderful design… and to get an Edelweiss flower means that someone loves you furever!
Yay! Mom helped me choose this one, and she does luv me forever! You are right with the Swiss look too. I wonder if it is tied in anyway to a Swiss bank account…hmmm…
that would be really the jackpot, since their Franc started like a rocket :o)
Really pretty – the design reminds me of traditional barge art 🙂
It is a pretty design I think.
Love, love, love that collar and leash!
Valentines Day is coming up…order one or win one for your pups!
We love Upcountry too!! we loved our Christmas collars! And now Lilly is wearing a cute one with squirrels on it. Makes mom smile every time she sees it. I have a gorgeous stately one with my colors in it: blue and brown (I am a boy…). Hope we win the giveaway!!! Your doodle friend Dash
We have the squirrel one too! Actually we have a ton of their collars, but we always need more. Sometimes Mom wishes she had a boy just to buy collars for because there are some she doesn’t want us girls wearing as they are too masculine. So glad you love Up Country too.

I am always nervous about plastic buckles but I trust your opinion.
Mom is nervous about metal buckle collars (like belt buckle, buckles), but all our collars are plastic buckles and we have never ever had one break or pop. Even when 80 lb Katie was younger and pulled like the dickens, they held up. We only have the plastic collar buckles from Up Country and a couple from other place that are reputable. The regular old store ones we wouldn’t trust.

Ohhh! These are super nice and it is hard for me to decide. It would be between the Plaid and the Big Bone. I’ll try to convince Mom that I need both. I love yours. Perfect for Valentine’s Day! ♥
Thank you. You can never have enough collars…I say win one and buy the other. Build up a nice wardrobe. They are all so fun.
Wow, you look super in your new goodies! OMD I love collars too…a guy likes to look good. BOL I entered and I’ll add your giveaway to the BCCalendar. Thanks for hosting!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Police Commish
Thank you! It’s always good when the police are behind a post! Lookin’ good is so important and there are lots of sharp looking collars for boys!
Oz the Terrier says
Oh my dog, Emma…you look fabulous in your new collar and leash! I love the Valentine’s motif. It is perfect with your furs. Enjoy all your walks and all the attention I am sure you will get with your new collar on!
I’m really happy with it. The boy dogs in the neighborhood have been barking a bit more when I pass by the last few days…must be my snazzy collar!
That’s super cute, and the perfect color for you.
Thank you. Red is my accent color.
Sparkle the PBGV says
I want the hearts and flowers! I would make it look beautiful on me. I think the Mom is going to cave and buy me one…and the leash too! A girl jus loves new clothes! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Valentines is coming up…it could be your gift. Up Country collars and leashes are all so fun, it is hard to choose just one which explains why we have so many, but we love them! They are not the most or least expensive, but they are worth their price as they last forever!
She bought me the hearts and flowers collar and leash! I will be beautiful as you are, Emma! XOXO Sparkle
That is pawsome! You will be lovely and fashionable wearing it around! Good for you!
Two French Bulldogs says
Very stylish! Red is your color
Lily & Edward
Thank you. Would you say I’m red hot???
I love that collar and leash – the pattern reminds me of Pennsylvania Dutch designs.
Thank you. I love it too. So pretty and fancy looking.
I just recently bought Leroy a martingale collar from Up Country and I love it! One of the few companies that has a collar that fits him and it is made very well! I would love to win one for Sherman! Love the North Star pattern!
Awesome! They truly are a great company! We want all their collars in our closet, but for now we add a few each year to our collection. Good luck to Sherman, so he doesn’t have to run around naked, LOL!
SlimDoggy (@MySlimDoggy) says
I’ve never been big on collars, but they make such nice ones now, I might have to start!
It seems most dogs get a collar and wear it for years until it wears out, but we love switching them out every couple weeks and having fun designs. Since we don’t wear clothes (except for photos on occasion) collars are our wardrobe.
Will and Eko says
Next time you’re on the east coast you’ll have to visit their offices. If you love collars, it’s paradise in their stocking room.
That sounds like an expensive place to visit if you know what I mean! We would love to visit, but have never been to the east coast. Maybe one day Mom will take us along out there as she hasn’t been east for a while.
Those sure are pretty and fancy!!!
They have cat collars and accessories too 😉
Emma that is a very pretty collar and leash! I would love to win it, red is so my color! Love Dolly
You do look smashing in that Christmas collar you have that is black/white/red. I love red on myself too!
Reilly & Denny says
that is such a pretty pattern – Mom loves the hearts – we sure wish we wore collars like that.
Even fluffy Katie wears fancy collars. It is hard to see them under all the white fur, but Mom likes her to look good just in case someone sees her collar!
Jan K says
You definitely look very stylish, Emma! I love the pattern you picked but there’s another one called “Big Bones” with lots of different colors that I also really like.
That is a good one, but Mom says it is more for a boy, so we have the heart and bone one. They are all good looking we think!
Maria Sadowski says
Funny, when I saw the first image I thought, “That looks so Swedish” and then you confirmed that it has a Swedish flair. When I was a little girl – and I mean little – back in Sweden I had a hat with that pattern, and a little coat lined with a ribbon looking almost just like that. I think I’ll have to get one for Bonnie. =D
It is adorable and Mom loves those “Swedish” hearts in designs 🙂
Tenacious Little Terrier says
I think if Mr. N wins, he might need the rabbit one!
We have the one with squirrels which is hard to wear. I don’t know if I could stand having wabbits on me!
Cathy Armato says
Beautiful collar! I love red collars, they look great on everydog. The hearts are really pretty too!
Thank you. Red is my color, says the mom.
OMD…Dory just loves the hearts and flowers collar!!
What a wonderful review, love the photo of the leash/collar in the snow!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Thank you. Dory should win her own Hearts and Flowers collar and if that doesn’t work out, get her one for Valentine’s Day.
Very cool! Some lucky pup’s gonna be thrilled to win!!
They have kitty collars too, but I’m only giving away a dog one.
Lauren Miller says
Great giveaway, Emma!! It was so hard to choose!! They have such neat stuff. Good luck everyone!
We kind of have a running wish list at our house so when Mom gets the bug to order we already have an idea of what we want to get.
Beagles and Bargains says
These are so cute! I really like the Pop Hearts Dog Collar for Valentine’s Day!
We have a similar one for Katie. Bailie and I need to avoid white as much as possible because we enjoy getting all dirty a bit too much 😉
Whitley Westie says
I think so. Too bad I can’t win myself!
2 Brown Dawgs says
That is a very pretty leash and collar set!
Thanks. I really love it!
I really like the Melody dog collar for my dog!!
Awesome! Good luck, hope you win as they are great collars!
We entered! We like the Adirondack striped collar best.
Awesome! We love all their collars, someday maybe we will have all of them, but we have a lot left to get first!
Jeanne Melanson says
I entered the giveaway. Thank you so much! I love the Animal Prints Dog Collar. 🙂
Awesome and good luck! Up Country makes our favorite collars!
What a pretty collar and leash! It’s a perfect pattern with Valentine’s Day coming soon!
It is my new Valentines set. Bailie gets my old one…paw me downs for the younger ones 😉
i love the pop hearts!
They are cute. Actually, we haven’t met a collar we don’t really like in their selection.
Rachele W. says
That set is adorable and so perfect for Valentines!!! We would love “Sparkle” for our dazzling HazelMutt…
They sure have a bunch of wonderful collars to choose from, don’t they! Good luck to you!
Cheryl Rahkonen says
I would choose the Bandana Dog Collar in Large.
Great! If you are the winner I will be in touch for more information tomorrow.
