Meet the famous French Watercolor Artist, Debucher Baguette, more commonly known as Emma. Have you wondered what makes an artist an artist? Style, creativity, being a bit eccentric, these are a few traits many artists such as myself possess.
I enjoy many talents from singing, to running, to watercolor painting. I’m a girl who is not afraid to get a little paint on her paws in the name of art. To create my masterpieces I’ve chosen watercolor as it washes off my fur really well, yet looks gorgeous on a canvas. I feel I can compare my work to those of the famous French watercolor artist Gauguin. I know he would be thrilled to tears to be in my league of famous painters.
An artist needs time to contemplate her creation. I prefer to paint alone with no one to disturb my thoughts, and far from a window to keep wabbits and squirrels from distracting me.
I’ve just completed my latest watercolor masterpiece entitled, “Squiggles”. I haven’t decided if I will sell it, or donate it to the Louvre in Paris. The Louvre would howl to receive a painting from the French Scent Hound Artist, Debucher Baguette, but I feel bad distracting attention from the Mona Lisa.
It’s time for me to enter my photo for the #PBSG #52Snapshots of Life photo challenge, and guess what the word of the week is? Create! Yep, what a coincidence! I feel my photo details the paws of creation in watercolor, don’t you agree?
My friends at The Lazy Pitbull had the idea for this 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. Feel free to join in the fun on your blog, and/or social media, just use the hashtags #PBSG and #52Snapshots. If you are up for some photography fun, the more the merrier, come and join us! The linky for the current week will be posted on Friday mornings.
LOL – love it, Emma!
Thank you. I worked real hard on this one!
You are going to be famous for sure make sure you put your paw print on all your work – PS our dad was reading your blog over the weekend and thinks you are totally gorgeous – he loves your long ears π
I think I love your dad! I learned to pawtograph with my book last year, so I should be good with that.
Pawsome art work there. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Thank you.
that’s a masterpiece! you should spend the summer in Pont Ave, like that Paul Gauguin, you only have to draw the bridge there and 30 million bucks will land in your piggy bank :o)
That would buy treats for me and all of my friends for life…great idea!
I think you should auction you work off for charity. I would buy one!
Now there is an idea. Good thinking!
You are a creative pup for sure Emma!
I try my best.
Well, Emma…if I didn’t love you before, I surely love you now. Watercolor is my favorite medium and I am a connoisseur of watercolor paintings. Your latest painting is just divine….I can feel the squiggly movement, there is a lightness to the brushstrokes though I sense an underlying chaos…it just works for me. The Louvre would be lucky to get their paws on it!
Oz
I love chaos, so glad you could feel it in the squiggles!
You could make the Mona Lisa smile with your work. Squiggle is a masterpiece. All I can do is paw paint. My medium is usually dirt on the mostly white tile floors. Psssst..how dare my mom question who is more creative – you or your mom?! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I think Mom and I compliment each other and we also inspire each other. A great team.
WOW! You certainly are a pup of many talents aren’t you?
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I do seem to dabble my paws in almost everything don’t I?
Your creativity with these challenges never fails to amazing. You are an amazing artist, Emma!
Thank you. Mom and I have to have some serious brain storming, but together we conquer!
I like watercolor painting too, Emma. I don’t know if Honey would like it or not. But maybe after being inspired by you, I’ll have to see.
It’s real easy and mistakes easily wash of my fur.
Oui Oui! You look terrific
Lily & Edward
Thank you.
Fabulous Emma. Absolutely Fabulous! We also love your glasses. The whole post is a masterpiece!!
I try my best to impress π
Emma, you are an artist beyond compare. I think you should sell the painting and buy bacon for all your friends.
That is a nice idea. I could have a bacon party and fry up many, many pounds of it!
You created a wonderful piece there Emma, great job!
Thank you. Not quite as beautiful as what your husband can paint, but I think I have a whole different style.
Emma you never cease to amaze and enthrall me!
I like to keep humans on their toes. If I were to become boring, no one would visit me.
I’m fairly certain Delilah would want to know if the paint were edible. Sampson wouldn’t do it.
Has mom chosen a spot to hang it yet?
This one may go in the playroom. The walls in there are pretty bare.
I love it. You look fantastic in your painting hat and glasses, and you’re a brilliant artist. Maybe you can make more and auction them off for charity?
You are the second one to suggest such a brilliant idea. They say the creative types don’t have a business mind, so I can use suggestions.
Emma Emma Emma what am I going to do with you? Love Dolly
Simply smile π
D.B. Emma you will be a FAMOUS Artist in NO TIME….
I can see my name in lights already!
This is so great, Emma! I’ve been having trouble with this word, but your take on it is perfect! BTW, we would love to have your painting on our wall, but we doubt we could afford it. π
At first I was stumped with the word, but Mom and I walked and thought about it together and came to this post. I think my work may be priceless π
I am creating Saturday. Once again, I am reminded that great minds and soulmates think alike! β₯ β₯ Your work is tres bon β₯ β₯ Je te aime Bentley
Can’t wait to see what you are creating! I may be a French artist, but I don’t bark a woof of French!
You always have style Emma!
A girl needs to look her best!
Oh Emma… I’m sure the Louvre would love to display your art, but just think of all the treats you could buy if you sold such a masterpiece!
I know, it is tempting to take the cash and run, but the fame of the Louvre is also quite rewarding.
You certainly look the part!
Thank you.
Emma – Not only does your painting look fantastic, but I’m totally digging the outfit!
It is my artistic side.
Ya definitely looks like an artist Emma!
Thank you!
I love your art, Emma!! Beautiful! <3
Thank you. I worked hard on this piece.
What a natural artist you are Emma, lovely watercolors!!

I LOVE THIS! You come up with the absolute best ideas each week! π
Thank you. Mom and I brainstorm together π
You are so clever!
Thank you, I try my GBGV best.
A Masterpiece!! Bravo!!
I am a French watercolor professional, I guess.
Mais c’est magnifique! You are a K9 with many talents, Emma!
Thank you. I like to give everything I can a try!
What a hoot!
π
Oh, Emma, you truly are a fabulously creative talent . . . much better than those silly elephants who paint with their trunks at the zoo. But I do wonder what masterpieces you might create if you chose to paint with your pretty little nose. π
I wouldn’t want to get anything on my nose. I need it for my scent work, however, I do have beautiful nose art on my front window if that counts.
Nose art on the window always counts!
I work on nose art every day and have our windows looking pretty fab right now.
Such fun and such creativity – we love your photos this week!
Thank you. I enjoyed painting and posing π
Tres Chic! What a cutie ! Hope you visit me too at Portraits by NC
Thank you. I will stop by.
awesome job Emma, great create day!
Thank you.
You’ve given the words “a work of art” a whole new meaning. Love it!
We like to open up the horizons for our friends.
You certainly can create masterpieces Debucher Baguette and you documentarian has so creatively captured the process. Manufique!
Thank you. Sometimes my French side simply pops out π
