Meet Purple Girl, aka, Bailie! You may recall she was one of a litter of fourteen GBGV pups. Each pup wore a colored ribbon to keep them straight and Bailie was Purple Girl. When I saw the 52 Snapshots of Life Challenge word Purple, I knew it was a post for Bailie.
When Bailie moved in with us, she came with “accessories”. Her breeder gave us a bedtime book for dogs, a purple stuffed bear and a purple blanket. We still have all three items, the bear is actually doing fairly well with only a few puncture wounds.
The purple blanket is in real bad shape. It has been ripped and torn, but Mom can’t throw it away. Bailie’s breeder gave her the blanket to comfort her as it had all the smells of her mom and thirteen siblings on it. She has always loved it, so she gets to keep it, even in a state of shambles. This photo has the most special meaning and is our choice for the challenge this week.
Last but not least, a quote which goes will with little Bailie.
Today, even though I’m a bit “wordy”, Iβm joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by BlogPaws! Donβt forget to stop by and visit some new blogs for fun!
My friends at The Lazy Pitbull had the idea for the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. Feel free to join in the fun on your blog, and/or social media, just use the hashtags #PBSG and #52Snapshots. Bailie is a lovely girl, and that’s some purple bow she has on there! π We appropriated my human daughter Morgan’s baby blanket for Sophie, as being in her twenties, I didn’t think she’d need it anymore. When Soph was a puppy, she slept on it all the time. It’s still around but does look a bit worse for wear. But, I just can’t get rid of it, either! Like Morgan’s little white dress she wore as a 2 year old and her basinet blanket. I know, I know…
Somethings have to be held onto.
Purple is absolutely “pyrfect” for you, Bailie π
Thanks, fluffies!
Whoa! She IS purple girl.
Yeah, we really toss purple on her a lot, but she loves it.
I am very proud that Bailie is Purple, Emma! You can be so proud that I am Blue Boy. My Mommie had to choose between a Blue Boy and a lime boy and she chose Blue, of course. Nobody ever chooses limes if they can have Blue. I did not get a special blanket, though. I also did not get a bear or a book or even a ribbon, but Mommy said we can pretend we did. I’m going to start a collection of blue things that nobody ever gave me.

It was the first puppy we got who came with accessories, but it was a fun surprise.
