Exercise is motion and comes in so many different forms. We love to walk and we do walk every day. Cousin Lena doesn’t walk much at home, so she loves to get her paws in motion and hit the trails with us when she visits! Exploring and sniffing are so fun and a good workout at the same time.
One of the best things about living with canine siblings is play buddies. With three of us, someone is always around and available to chase, wrestle, or play tug a war. As you know, Bailie and I love to get our paws in motion racing around the yard.
Now with Lena here for almost two weeks we have four dogs. Mom says four is really too much, three is a lot, two is perfect, but for a limited time, four is fun. We are all a bit different and we all find our own ways to amuse ourselves out in the yard.
Bailie loves to dig out her toys in the snow. If you look carefully you can see the slight orange cast coming out of the snow as her buried tennis ball is bright orange. Digging is a great way to work out and luckily she doesn’t dig much in the dirt or grass.
Lena loves fetch with any toy that can be thrown. We have a soft plastic Frisbee she enjoys fetching.
Bailie and I keep on with our chase and wrestle games while Mom throws Lena tennis balls. Everyone is happy in their own element.
Sometimes Katie gets a burst of energy and tries to run with Lena, but it only lasts a few seconds.
Bailie and I just keep going and going…Energizer GBGV’s!
Lena is still running with her fetch game, but Katie and Bailie are doing their own thing again.
These activities go on pretty much daily on and off in the yard besides our walks and runs with Mom. It is a great way to really burn off some energy while having total dog fun! If you are an only dog, invite a friend or two over for a play date to have some fun! Not only do we have a blast, we always get a nice treat when we go back into the house π We’ve earned it.

Snow much fun dudes. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
And five days later, all the snow is gone π
Katie wants to come play with you
The more the merrier. We have room for even more dogs.
OH MY…… that all looks like FABULOUS exercise and FUN all rolled into ONE super time… WE are going to “TOWN” today… so we will get to do a bit of walking… We like it…
Going to town…will you be wearing your Sunday best on Friday, then? Have fun.
Total Dog Fun!!! We love these photos and stories!! So much fun you are having with Cousin Lena visiting. She is ALL lab!!! We are just part lab… we didn’t get the tennis ball gene. But we did get the “let’s have fun gene!!” Have a great day. Happy Friday!! your doodle friend Dash
Bailie gets real mad at Lena because she won’t play chase with her. It is funny. I used to get mad about it too, but now being older, it isn’t so important and I can play chase with Bailie.
4 is too much? Sooooo…..my thoughts of getting a 4th husky are pretty much crazy then? BOL! Oh boy, I really am “Husky Crazed” hahaha!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Some people have 4 dogs and love it. Three is bordering on too much for us. Mom likes to take us everywhere and with three it is hard, but with four, almost impossible. It really depends on what you do with your dogs, and our ages are all spread out which makes it harder too.
Play dates are so much fun. Neither Jack or Maggie are big players but Tino & Sally used to have playdates with their friend Lucy and they would run and run and run. Great exercise!
In Germany we had friends over to play all the time, here not so much, but when we do, look out!
Hi Y’all!
I can imagine y’all with your human as she tries to go for a run! Bet it’s a constant form of entertainment for your less active neighbors! BOL!
Y’all come on back,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Everyone knows our family is a bit “different” alone because we are out walking every day in all types of weather. Mom never runs with more than two dogs and it works quite well. She walks with three of us at a time, she would take all four but Katie is too slow, so she gets a separate walk. We do entertain the neighborhood, though.
Great action shots. Looks like a puppy spring break paradise with plenty of bright sunshine.
Thanks. Today is day 10 of spring break, and things are slowing down. We are all pretty worn out and the “newness” is wearing off but we are still having fun.
It looks like the dogs are having a blast together! Doggie play dates and visitor pups are so much fun and they do get a lot more exercise while romping around together.
You are right on. What dog wants to run around the yard all alone. I mean a couple zoomies here and there are good, but when they are done it gets real boring all by ones self.
That’s a lot of dogs but a lot of fun too! We understand about how every dog has their own way to play, Taffy and I are complete opposites! Love Dolly
It is a lot of dogs. We have a good sized house too, but Mom says four of us is almost too much as there are dogs everywhere all the time! It’s fun for two weeks at a crack.
Y’all sure are moving it in 4-Paw Drive!
We are always full speed ahead!
That is one of the great things about having multiple dogs….you don’t have to go to a dog park to find someone to play with. When we only had two dogs, we used to have other dogs over for company more too.
It’s more interesting for us humans too when everyone is doing different things…it’s so much fun watching you guys have such a good time! Cricket mostly sticks to fetch, but Luke keeps it interesting with keep away, and then he and Sheba will get chasing each other and playing bitey-face too. It keeps me smiling!
Mom says she could watch us play forever and never get bored. The way we interact and how we all have our favorite things. For play, multiple dogs is definitely a plus!
Look at that fur blowing in the wind!
Definitely a lot of that going on these days!
I’ll bet your cousin never wants to leave!
Actually, she does because she is totally worn out, but after a few days she would be ready to come back. At home she is an only pet and doesn’t even really go for walks, so being with us is like a fitness camp for her.
Mom can have my two and see how perfect they are. π Just kidding, I wouldn’t trade them. You guys are very fit and work hard at it, but I think it’s a good thing.
Katie, Bailie, and I are perfect angels, never done anything wrong in life, so we understand π We do work hard on fitness, but it is what we all enjoy doing too.
Yeah, we tried telling mom that when she brought Bruin home – 3 is ALOT! BOL! Looks like you guys are having fun!
Mom says she doesn’t think she will do three again, but never four. Three is the max in our city anyway, so not much of a choice.
I like having one. Easier to go places, less expensive and I don’t feel guilty about leaving him behind when I’m doing something with another dog. And Mr. N likes being the center of attention. Multiples are fun for playtime though!
One has a lot of advantages, but Mom says she is happiest with two so they are never alone. Life has dealt us three right now, so we just enjoy what we have.
We just love having a big enough pack to do group zoomies!!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Group chase and wrestle is my fav!
Oh, I almost forgot to post! My fit Friday was a trip to the doctor for a yearly check-up and shots. I cried a little bit when I got the influenza shot, but I did great with the other 2 shots. The doctor checked me over really well and they took some blood to run a wellness panel. I weighed in at 26.4 pounds and she – my doctor – said I was in perfect shape and my weight is ideal. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Good news. Now keep it up π Shots are no fun, well, the vet is no fun really.
Fun pictures. I bet you will all be tired after Lena’s visit.
Every day she is here our energy dwindles a bit more. We are pretty dead now!
I love the incoming lab picture π Playtime amongst K9 friends is so much fun, isn’t it?!
We have to be careful as she is so focused on the ball, she will mow right into us!
You guys are having so much fun! We love having canine visitors and Rocco gets so much more exercise that way. It’s funny how everyone plays differently, isn’t it? I find that many Havanese pretty much play the same way so that makes it extra fun for Rocco when he has a Havanese visitor like Sophie.
The same breeds to play pretty much the same way and have the same moves, which is why it is fun to add a few different breeds to the mix.
We have new motion going on here lately – it’s called “run from a biting / teething puppy”
I feel for you Harley…my life changed for good the day I turned 7 and one of my party guests simply never left π
Looks like lots of fun!
We had almost too much fun and we are all exhausted!
What a fun time you guys are having and getting in some exercise
We always have extra fun when Lena comes to stay with us. It wears us all out.
And a good time was had by all!! Looks like everybody was enjoying themselves! Happy Sunday!
We sure were having fun!
So much snow! Lucky you…Heather and Mr. K didn’t get much opportunity to play in snow this year. Hope you had fun! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
We had a lot less than usual, but some is better than none!
It sounds like you have a great time burning off a bit of energy!
We burned so much energy when Lena was here, we were almost dead!
Great photos – we love watching all the dogs play!
My mom loves it too. She says she could watch us forever.
