It is week 11 of the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge and the word is “travel”. I decided to get on my wild west gear and ride the rails the old fashioned way. Being a dog I had to travel on the back of the caboose, but no complaints. I get a good whiff of all the scents as the train moves along. The above photo is my main shot for the photo challenge, but I took a couple other travel shots to add as well.
I decided to lie down for a bit on the long ride. With all the jostling around I got tired of standing.
There is nothing like feeling the wind in my furs as I ride the rails.
Riding along, watching the world go by as I travel to my destination. I think I like hitching a ride on the train! Maybe I should become a hobo dog?
My friends at The Lazy Pitbull had the idea for the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. Feel free to join in the fun on your blog, and/or social media, just use the hashtags #PBSG and #52Snapshots. If you are up for some photography fun, the more the merrier, come and join us! The linky for the current week will be posted on Friday mornings.
Oh Emma, I luffs your hat!
Now don’t go off travellings and forgetting about us will you?
Loves and licky kisses

Oh heavens no! It’s just a shorter trip to try out riding on a train.
Very cute. Glad you brought your hat and case with you, but we think that maybe your ride could use a bit of paint. π
It is a well traveled train.
Looks like quite an adventure, Emma, but I don’t think you should be a hobo dog… might be hard to find treats!
Mom says I’m too spoiled to survive on my own, but it was a fun thought.
looks like that train could do with a lick of paint – it has traveled many a mile we guess
It seems like most trains aren’t real pretty up close, but it adds charm.
Emma, you are so very pretty in pink! Safe travels! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Thank you. I wonder where I will end up?
You should send the pictures to Amtrack. Maybe they will start to allow dogs are trains. Emma could be their poster dog.
In dog school in Germany we had to learn to ride on a train, on a bus and to go to a store and ride in an elevator. A nice dog friendly place!
Full speed ahead!
Woo hoo…next stop…the Bayou!
A hobo dog? Now THAT would make for an interesting life I think! “Emma, the littlest hobo” haha!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Mom thinks I’m too spoiled for a hobo dog lifestyle. I’m not sure.
Loving the pink – loving it on you Emma
I’m more partial to red, but some days a mellow pink is better.
Great photo for the challenge Emma…love your outfit too, perfect for a ride on the rails.
Kind of a wild west kind of feeling.
Nice one Emma and as always looking pretty in pink. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks, Molly.
perfect backdrop for some great photos!
Nothing like good old train cars. They tell a story all on their own.
I love your traveling gear, very stylish indeed.
I’m a stylish girl, you know.
Emma you made mom laugh today when you said you got your wild west gear on — and it’s pink!!! Not really what we see out here in the Wild West. But it is cute on you!! Great train and great post!!! have a good day, your doodle friend Dash
Hey, a girl needs to remain girly you know π Wild west with a side of fashion.
ALL ABOARD!!!
Yep!
Some of your best photos to date. Perfect shots of an adventurous pup.
I’m always pawing at my photographer to do better π
That’s a brilliant entry for “travel”. Oh imagine that, we could enter a train (with our train case of course) and while we sleep the train brings us to a brandnew location… we only need a $ in our pocket and a chewing bone in our mouth :o)
And the jostling motion and sounds of rustling wind would lull us off to dream land. I’m ready!
What great photos, Emma, and we love your travel outfit!
Thank you. Maybe a touch of Nashville preparation there.
Very cool Emma and I’m so excited you decided to show off your pink cowboy hat. Now I know exactly what to look for in Nashville.
But if you want to be a hobo-dog, you will need a hobo-sack. π
I know I’m not really a hobo type, but Mom says if I don’t go to the spa soon I will really look like a hobo.
You always make us laugh. You look like a person
Lily & Edward
I’m real close to being a person. The only thing standing in my way is the fact I’m a hound.
What fun! Did you see any nice sites?
Didn’t see much because I’m so short and this thing was moving too fast. I had to really work on hanging on.
You caught a very nice train pretty Emma!
Kind of a battered old train, but it has character and since Mom says I’m a character it is a good match.
Wow Emma, what a fun time!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Always having fun you know.
I love your outfit, Emma! <3
Thank you. It wears well for travel.
Hang on tight, Emma! Sometimes those trains get a little wild.
It is just a train, not an amusement park, but I do have to be careful.
Emma, you’re quite the traveller! Safe journeys!!
Thank you. I enjoy traveling. Can’t wait to head out to Nashville for BlogPaws.
Do you just have an old train car in your back yard Emma? Love Dolly
Dolly, I live in a warehouse full of every prop a dog could need in this world π
You’re so cute with your hat! I don’t know if you’d enjoy the hobo life, though. I mean, you’re used to being safe indoors with your siblings, mealtimes, and toys. Though, I agree that traveling is fun.
Mom says if I don’t get a bath and my coat stripped soon I will look like a hobo, but I think I prefer the finer lifestyle I have become accustomed to and I don’t think hobos have laptops and internet which I need for my blog and social media stuff.
Emma you look fabulous in your pink western gear! Hope you had fun on your trip!
It was a dry run for my trip to BlogPaws in May π
What cute shots, Emma! You are such a photogenic doggy! Looks like your train travel in that cool, old caboose was a real adventure!
It was lots of fun. If only the old caboose could talk.
Awesome travel pictures! You are beautiful on the back of that train
Thank you.
Very nice pictures. Love the vintage vibe.
Thank you. We love the character of old trains.
Surely if the railway knew you were there they’d have you traveling celebrity style in a fancy sleeper car!
Now you are a thinking pup! Absolutely correct!
You really look the part in that hat and with that luggage!
I am the part on a caboose π
These are simply amazing photos! I’m so glad you guys are linking up with us each week!
Thank you. We love fun challenges.
