I kind of enjoy fish, but my mom has a fish phobia. Mom won’t allow any fish in the house, no way, no how, so if I want fish treats, I have to take matters into my own paws with my tackle box and rod, and head over to the local fishing hole.
This time of year, the ice is not even completely off the water, but there is enough open water to do some fishing. It was a beautiful sunny day, but cold, and my furry behind was getting cold. Being a bit restless waiting for the fish to bite, I was dreaming of Chewy.com and their tasty fish treats as I reeled in another skin and bones catch.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Mr. Chewy appeared and the tug on my line was a package from Chewy.com! Amazing! I know they have warehouses located throughout the country, so the products are delivered quickly and efficiently, but at my fishing hole? Chewy.com has more than 300 brands with products to choose from and is ready to fetch and ship, direct to your doorstep, with fast 1-2 day delivery, along with the ability to pre-schedule orders. If you have any questions about products or your order, their helpful customer service team is available 24/7 to listen and assist you with your questions and concerns. But still, with all the good service I have experienced in the past, this was really over the top service and mind reading!
I had a look in the package to see what they had sent me.
Check it out! They sent me a bag of Blue Buffalo Wilderness Trail Treats Salmon Wild Bits Grain-Free Training Dog Treats! Awesome! I can fold up my fishing gear and head home! Yes, I’m happy!
Oh boy, I can smell them and they smell so good! I can’t wait to give them a taste!
Alright, focus on my cute face so you don’t seem my paw reaching in the bag to take out some treats.
These look great and they are really a nice size for training or even for small dogs. They are a high quality protein source, have Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids to promote skin and coat health, and are made in the USA. The bites are real soft and chewy too!
I give them a one GBGV tongue up approval rating and highly suggest ordering these for your dog. No dog should be forced to fish for fish when pet parents can simply order great products from Chewy.com! Thank you, Chewy.com! You guys are the best!
Disclosure: I received one bag of these treats from Chewy.com to review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review and I receive no additional benefits for barking about the product or the company. The opinions in this review are my own honest opinions.
I am joining the Tasty Tuesday blog hop sponsored by Kol’s Notes and Sugar the Golden Retriever. If you are looking for tasty ideas, take a look at what other dogs are baking and eating!
Emma, your such a great fisherwoman, lovely review!
Thank you. A dog has to branch out now and then.
Oh, yum, Emma. Those look so good. I think I have tasted tuna from a little round can. The mom bought some salmon treats for one of her dogs who is now playing with Maggie at the Rainbow Bridge. Anyway, she gave Pepper some salmon treats and Pepper loved them, but she sent them back in the mom’s lap! Now because of that one incident we do not get fishy treats. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We rarely get any around here either, so these are extra tasty.
Looks like you caught something delicious! And hopefully your mom will let you keep it.

Yep, I get to keep this catch. Real yummy stuff too!
Pawfect fishing technique there Emma
I luffs a bit of fishy in my dishy as well and salmon is my favourite!
Loves and licky kisses

Everyone talks about salmon and how good it is. I have to agree.
Emma please send me the map that I can drive to this river where you can catch salmon treats….that’s the magic river, right? Or is it the Chewy river? I look for a hook then I can use my tail as a fishing rod :o)
I go real close to my house to the Chewy fishing hole. It works real well and doesn’t take long to haul in a package!
Seriously – we are going fishing if you can catch stuff like that – mmmmmm bags of fish treats – no bones and no cleaning – yum
It is the best way to fish!
Great post Emma!! Mom kept talking about this morning. So great, she kept saying. We just want to know where is that magical river!!!! Your doodle friend Dash
It is the fishing hole down the street from my house. Chewy Pond I think it is called.
We know that fishing hole!! Mom said we will add these treats to our Chewy order!
Order some paper towels too. You might need to wipe up some drool.
You are such a piece of work. Love your adventures.
Lots of hard work 😉 Always working like a dog!
hahaha! What a fun post! Love it! My huskies love those treats! One of their favs actually.
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thank you. They are super tasty!
Love this post Emma and you need some fishy snacks to keep up your strength whilst waiting for the fish to bite. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
I do need snacks when I fish, but as long as I catch nice packages, I have no worries!
Oh Emma, leave it to Mr. Chewy to find you at your fishing hole and deliver some salmon treats to satisfy your fish craving! Well done, Mr. Chewy. I’m sorry your mom has a fish phobia because we dogs know some of the best treats are made from stinky fishes!
Happy Tuesday
Oz
Last year we got some real smelly fish treats at BlogPaws. We loved them so Mom didn’t have the hear to toss them out but we got to eat a lot of them in a short amount of time because Mom wanted them gone. These aren’t bad smelling really, so I can enjoy them over time. Mr. Chewy is great.
Salmon is one of our favorites. Too bad your mom has a phobia – they are so good for you. Maybe this kind of fish will be okay.
She let me keep my catch. I think she is okay as long as it comes packaged and doesn’t smell too much.
Looks like a fun time!!
Love your hat, and I bet the fish was delicious.
I’m still enjoying the salmon bites.
Sometimes a pup needs to take matters into her own paws, especially when tasty treats are on the line. All puns intended.
I have figured that part out. I am a girl who goes out and gets what I want.
That was a good try fishing, Emma, but Chewy is definitely easier, isn’t it? We’ll just have to get some of these, because we don’t have any open water for fishing yet anyway!
I thought fishing was easy, but it is boring and difficult! Chewy makes life for dogs so easy!
I’m so happy you got your fish treats without actually having to catch a fish. They’re slippery and don’t like being out of the water 😉
I wasn’t having much luck with the fishing, so I was happy when the package appeared on my fishing hook!
OMD OMD EMMA….. you really CAUGHT a GRAND thingy… We have sampled these and you are CORRECT… they are DELICIOUS…. We did not know that CHEWY.COM would even deliver to the Ol’ fishing Hole….. BUTT they DO offer the most amazing service so it doesn’t surprise us…
Chewy is an amazing company! I’d still be fishin’ if they hadn’t shown up!
If that’s what you must do to get a fishy, that’s what you gotta do. The stinkier the better
Lily & Edward
My sisters and I love stinky, but Mom, not so much.
Emma, who knew you were such a skilled fisher-gurl-dog!
I dabble my paws in lots of ventures.
Brilliant review Emma, with the added benefit of fishing and fashion tips. Only a seasoned pro would think of choosing a hat to match the fishing rod. What a mischievous set of photos – utterly brilliant.
Thank you. I always feel it is not necessarily what you do, it is how you look that counts. I think it may be the British in me since I was born in the UK.
“You get a line and I’ll get a pole and we’ll go fishin’ at the crawdad hole, Honey oh Baby mine!” Do you know that song? It is pretty cute just like you in all of your fishing gear. I’m glad the only other guy in your mind is Chewy. He rocks!
I don’t know that song…maybe a southern thing? I do like it, though. Mr. Chewy is very impawtent as he brings me lots of food and treats, so I need him. You are my guy for everything else.
I love the picture were you look *extra* adorable and you are reaching your paw into the bag! Haha! So sneaky, Emma! So glad you got your delivery so you didn’t have to wait to catch an actual fish.
I’m not a real good fisher dog, so I’m thankful Chewy saved my day!
You look so cute!!! Hey, my Mama has a fish phobia too.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who has to live without fish most of the time.
I am constantly impressed by your skills and talents Emma! I think our boys would have jumped in and tried to catch the fish without a pole!
We will have to try those Salmon training treats for one of Charlie’s classes!
I didn’t want to mess up my freshly washed furs, plus the water is still pretty cold. We are using these for training, they work well.
Very responsible of you! 🙂 You do look awfully fluffy today too!
If I didn’t have the leash, responsible may have gone out the window 😉
It’s much easier on the humans too, to not have to deal with cleaning and smell. 🙂
You humans and smell…geez! Smell is a wonderful thing!
Great post, Emma! I’m in agreement with your mom and after we had a “salmon poisoning” (from a live fish, not the cooked kind) scare, I now have a fish phobia, too! I’m okay with it being in treats, though!
Mom would die is we rolled in a dead fish or ate one on the beach! We remember the salmon poisoning thing. Scary stuff.
Hehe, very nice & unique review! Love Emma’s fisher dog’s outfit 😉 Our pups love salmon treats!
These are my first and I love them!
I luvs me some fish!
Me too, but I don’t get much of it here.
Wow, you didn’t hafta work very hard to catch those fish treats! We bet we would like those, too.
Cat bro Bert hasn’t gotten a whiff of them yet or I bet he would want them too!
Everyone in our house loves fish, Honey not the least. I feel kinda sorry for your mom. She’s really missing out.
She can’t do it, it makes her sick to even look at a fish. It’s hard for her to eat out when others order fish. Something in her mind goes and she feels like she is going to be sick. Maybe a psychologist would help, but she eats enough other food, it isn’t worth the trouble.
Oh Emma – your creativity never ceases to amaze me!
I’m a dog of many hats and talents 😉
Those looks super yummy. Good thing you didn’t have to catch them on your own.
Chewy really saved the day as fishing wasn’t going all that well.
Watch out, Bert will want some of those!
He hasn’t seen them yet.
Love the review especially since it’s obviously chops licking good. We’ll have to try those out. It’s good you wore a fishing hat too, protects the face & eyes from any harsh sun. 🙂
They are super yummy. No need for you to go fishing, just order from Chewy.
And you didn’t even have to clean them! Now THAT is MY kind of fishing!
It was such a stroke of luck for me!
We are glad they sent you some Salmon treats Emma. Mica will not even taste anything with fish, but Aspen seems to like the Salmon. Lexie use to like it too!
It is super tasty stuff!
Emma, you’re killing me with all these hats. I love them – keep wearing them okay? Wonderful review, I enjoyed the entire thing.
You should see my space in the basement…I must have like a hundred hats. I love hats and love wearing them. It is being born in the UK, I’m pretty sure of it.
